The doctor here is incompetent. She provided me with wrong information regarding my contact prescription. When I asked for confirmation, she affirmed that she was correct, even though she was not. Her "recommendation" would have been in violation of FDA laws regarding disposable contact lens longevity, and her comments were made because she didnt double-check the records. A lack of professional competence is unacceptable when you are working with peoples health. Her office has also mischarged me on two separate occasions. In 2011, they overcharged me for my contact lenses and didnt offer me a receipt until I requested one. In 2010, when I went in for my annual eye exam, the bill for the appointment did not come for a full YEAR, and the unexplained miscellaneous charges that appear still have not been elaborated on sufficiently. The doctor might appear to be caring and nice, "caring" and "nice" are good qualities in a human being, but for a professional doctor, "competence" and "reliability" are equally important, and Dr. Furukawa fails in both those areas.

Do NOT go here. I have no confidence in the Doctor or her offices ability to take care of their patients. I took my son into get glasses, she didnt even speak to me once, when I tried to talk to her I was asked to talk to the receptionist since the Doctor had already moved on it a different client. I was told it would take 3 - 4 weeks for my sons glasses to come in. 8 weeks later they are still not in and they had no reason or explanation for the delay and didnt have a clue when they would be in. I am taking my son in for another eye exam and glasses at a different place. Optics One is a complete waste of time and dont seem to care much about the people they are suppose to be providing a service for!

I have been visiting the doctor at Optics One for nearly 15 years, and I have been very impressed with the services and care I have received. The doctor at Optics One is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Unlike many places where the doctor is always in a rush, I always feel like the doctor is taking the time to understand my individual needs. She truly cares about the vision of her patients and the overall well-being of each person that visits the office. Though there is a wide selection of eyewear available at the office, I never felt pushed into buying from them. I definitely recommend Optics One!

We came in to look at glasses for my husband. She gave us a hard time about having no insurance and then asked us if we had DSHS. Guess we werent dressed up enough to look at glasses! We asked a question about frames and then the phone rang. She pointed to some frames and continued to talk on the phone... And talked more on the phone and then some more. After 5 min. I told her we were leaving because she was too busy on the phone. She was dumbfounded. Such poor customer service! I will not ever go back.

Very friendly staff. the doc takes time to know her patients and ask a lot of question to learn about your eye vision health. It takes a while to get your glasses but just like everywhere else! People give them bad reviews but it goes both ways if your nice to everyone you meet people will be nice to you in return!!

I had a great experience at Optics One. The doctor was very nice, and I was very pleased with my exam. Ive seen other doctors who always seem rushed, but Dr. Furukawa was very thorough and took her time. I also got a new pair of glasses that have been great so far!

Tells you the price is 1 thing then charges another. Dr only writes prescription to be filled there. Tried to get it filled elsewhere and she wrote prescription wrong twice, still waiting for third. Took many months to simply send me a bill.
