Absolutely the worst experience I have had with a retail store. I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer the day after black Friday for a decent price which I was quite happy with. We did the transaction and I informed the associate of the appropriate times of delivery. The day before the first scheduled delivery (Dec 5th) came around and I received a call about how the appliance delivery was rescheduled two weeks out. The new delivery date came and went, and rescheduled again. A total of three times my delivery was rescheduled. I found out Home Depot has been selling appliances they knowingly do not have in stock from Samsung. It is currently December 29th and I still do not have my appliances I purchased in November. I received a phone call today about my possible delivery tomorrow, which is funny because they decided to put the delivery times within my work schedule which I clearly explained to the associate during my purchase. Please think twice before purchasing an appliance here.

Be wary when looking to these guys for home solutions: I had a roofing salesman evaluate my needs. His price came in $5000 higher than any of the six other roofing contractors I had bid the job. Part of his pitch included the woes of using unscrupulous contractors whom you pay a down-payment and then never show or the underinsured who rely on your homeowners insurance to pay for their employees accidents. Scare tactics aside, I guess the extra $5000 buys you piece of mind. One year later, I forgot my own advice and invited Home Depot in to discuss a cabinet project. As soon as the gentleman began his sales pitch it reminded me of the several reasons I should not have requested the quote. I cautioned him several times to stop employing the scare tactics, which he denied he was using, and then proceeded to throw more at me. I had to asked him to leave. In retrospect, I am not sure which of us is crazy.

Bad customer service! The Puyallup Lowes across the street is better. I purchased a plastic panel for my florescent ceiling light at Home Depot. It needed to be cut to size. It was brittle and as I cut it and it cracked and broke so I went back to buy another, and asked if it could be cut to size for me. I did not have the correct type of knife at home to cut it. I was told that they dont "do that anymore", and the guy just told me to cut it, "As if you were cutting glass". Like I cut glass every day. I left and went to Lowes. The man over there, Steven, was very helpful, and explained how to cut the plastic panel properly using my kitchen counter and household tools. He even gave me his own box knife, which was really going above and beyond! IncidentaIly, the quality of the plastic product I bought at Lowes seems better--less brittle. I do value customer service, and the Puyallup Home Depot does not have it!

I was not very pleased. When I walked in, someone was filling carts at the entrance. He was no more than a foot away from me... didnt offer me a cart or even say hello. I knew where to find the item I was looking for, so I headed straight there, passing several employees and not once was greeted. I had gone in for some laminated shelves, it was either out of my reach or stocked on the bottom shelf. I was on my knees with my rear up in the air trying to reach for them because they were stacked toward the back. An employee came into the aisle, and he must not have noticed me , (I dont know how when I think I was pretty obvious), because he never acknowledged me. I was in the store for about 20 minutes and the first time I was greeted or even acknowledged was when I checked out. Had I gone thru the self check out, I probably would have never been acknowledged.

I have had very good experiances at this and most other HDs. Monty in electrical is always VERY helpful and friendly. the cashiers are friendly and polite. Like anyplace sometimes they are busy or short handed and cant drop what they are doing but get to us when they can. Sometimes an employee can be short or evan rude but I understand cause that happens everywhere, even with me at my job cause sometimes customers are just plain stupid and annoying and it can be difficult to keep a chipper attitude when you keep dealing with people "walking" over you. I will agree the the entrances/exits to gardening section telling me to stay out is annoying but I dont get that they are offensive. I hate Lowes and always go to HD.

My husband purchased a barbecue here last week and was told they could build it for us for free and have it ready for pickup in 4 days. When my husband returned for the barbecue on the scheduled day he discovered it had been sold to someone else. To make good on the situation they told my husband they would build us another and have it ready the for him the following day. When he went back for the second one, that too had been sold. It became obvious to us this store puts making a sale over customer service and we decided to take our business elsewhere.

I just had surgery and I went to use the wheelchair when getting out it started to beep and they just watched,me as I tried to fig out why. Then the guy that was in the front came over pushed the chair into me and then the cashier came over and was telling the other one Paul get back in your chair..looking at me like I was an ass I told her thanks for helping and just didnt say a word to me besides looking at me glaring. I really dont think that was called for!!!! I have never been so disrespected

We purchased our blinds here, and service has been horrible. The order was placed in May and we are still waiting for my blinds to be delivered. They somehow lost part of my order, and because of that I have to call several times to try to get this issue resolved. Every time I call, they say somebody is looking into it and they will give me a call back, but they never do. I am extremely disappointed, all I want is the rest of my blinds and never go back to that store.

This Home Depot seems to be older, with less selection and less personnel to help (or willing to help). I was on the other side of town and went to to Spanaway Home Depot, and I was amazed by the better selection and friendliness of the staff. In addition there were actual people waiting to check me out. I didnt have to hunt someone down, or self check out. If the two stores were next to each other, I would never visit this store.

I called to ask if they had a certain item in hardware and without hesitation I was told to go to Lowes or McLendons. I asked for his name and he hung up. Before talking to him I was routed to directory and the lady transfered me to the guy in hardware. From the start he said "yeah its hardware" I asked if they had ball bearing and thats when he told me to go to home depots competitors..... home Depot in the NW sucks.
