Can someone please explain to me why the cashiers are so rude when I use coupons? It would seem the discounts come directly from their pay checks. The employees in the fabric dept are the friendliest and have amazing customer service, hence the two star review rather than one star. But without fail my happy retail experience is ended on a bad note when I try to use a coupon. Inexplicably the cashiers are rude and become short. This has happened twice before, and I shrugged it off. But today, the same thing happened. Whats sad is all I needed was thread. Hobby Lobby is around the corner from my home, but Im so thankful for JoAnns fabric selection and I dont ever want JoAnns to leave Olympia bc Hobby Lobby took their business, so I always drive the extra 15 minutes to support JoAnns. But after realizing today that you guys dont care for my business, then not anymore! If you dont want us to use the coupons, dont send them out.

So I had to go with my wife to the women craft place. As we were going up and down the aisles we saw a sewing machine on sale. My wife needed a new one and we decided to get it because of the sale price, the guy was very helpful. We then got help at the cutting counter, also very helpful. When we got to checkout the same guy that had helped us with the sewing machine was now working up there. They were really busy. We had one of those online coupons on our phone and no questions we saved a ton of money. I WISH CABELAS WOULD HAVE AND HONOR COUPONS LIKE THAT OR JOANNS WOULD SELL SPORTING GOODS.

This store is an absolute nightmare! The line at the checkout counter is NEVER shorter than 10 people and usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes to get through. Ive had a 2 employees be rude to me during checkout as well. I absolutely dread needing to go here and have left the store numerous times because the wait to pay was WAY too long. I will go find a smaller, local fabric store thats not so overloaded with people and products that is impossible to get in and get out within an hour!

Renee at the cut counter, was the FIRST Jo-Anns employee to take my call and actually be nice, polite, and helpful. And I have probably visited or called 2 dozen Jo-Anns across the country. My experience in store has never been great. Very hit or miss weather you get someone who cares enough and is knowledgable enough to be helpful. And my call in experience usually is me getting put on hold then being hung up on.

Large, great store... often noisy and chaotic, I try not to stay in here too long. The staff seems to be knowledgeable in their departments but there is not a lot of help to be found. My observation is that, the cashiers do not know the store and where things can be found within the store but they will attempt to help you with a smile, which still wins a star :•)

Jo-Anns has a wide variety of fabrics as it is known for. They lack in illustrator supplies such as art pencils, pens and pastels, crayons and inks. Their paint selection is minimal. You can find good deals on pre-stretched canvas. Their jewelry section is okay there were no tools available.

I have walked out of that store more times than i can count without finding what i need, for a person who does a lot of crafting its very annoying. They could also use a few more registers as the lines are always ridiculous when on the very rare chance i find what i need.

I have been to a lot of Joannes. I enjoy the friendly staff here. I am always offered help. They keep their stock high on notions, which sometimes get neglected. Everything was well-organized during a sale.
