Ive spent a lot time in various Michaels stores over the years, and this is the worst. When I moved to the Westside, I headed to this store, only to find it a dismal place. At the bottom of a weedy parking lot, ugly outside and in, often understaffed. You walk in the front door, and its plain they never bothered to remodel the ugly old building it used to be, but just plopped their stuff in there without thought. For an arts store, its incredible how little thought and care goes in to the space. And at times, during a sale, youll have to wait in a line a block long to get to the 3 checkers at the registers. And if you walk in with a simple return...good luck. There is no customer service desk at this location. Youll have to wait in the long line like everybody else.

Regular customer at the Beaverton store. Great assortment of goods and store layout is pretty easy to find things. Staffing is my only issue. Its rare to find anyone on the floor to assist with locating items. Sometimes I have to make several trips around the store to find what I need on my own. And the check out line has become ridiculous. It takes longer to check out then to pick out my items for purchase. Its not like its busy sometimes - the line is consistently an issue. Twelve minutes today in line with five customers and two checkout clerks one of which was occupied the entire time with one customer. I felt compelled to write the review because the wait time in the check out line needs attention.

I went there because the one closest to me didnt have what I needed and they said this one did. So I drove here and founded what I wanted but it was 3 bucks more expensive then the one would have been at the other store! So I told a worker and they did not want to help at all. She thought I was lying that they were more expensive. After realizing that if she didnt help I was going to leave she called the other store and found I really wasnt lying and she wouldnt honor the price! Stores like Walmart and Target honor each others prices if the costomer mentions that the other has something for cheaper and they are competitors! It was weird to see that a store of the same chain was competing.

Couldnt find what I was looking for. Couldnt find staff to help either. Once I did, I wished I hadnt. Not very helpful and felt like I was bothering her. Prices are high and selection isnt that great. Unless you need something right away, and they happen to have it, order from Amazon. Prices with shipping are about the same if not cheaper and you dont have to walk around in circles.

Its okay if you know what youre looking for and just get it and go. But usually rough if you need to ask an employee. I called this particular store with a question about repairing canvas- literally, if its possible to uncrease canvas, he told me to call the Portland Art Museum and then hung up on me. Balliest sh***y phone service Ive ever had.

I always have such a blast going there. My imagination gets fired up when I see all the things I can make while looking at everything they have in the store. Ive never had a problem with customer service, sometimes its hard to find someone to help me but once I do they are very sweet and willing.

Love the paper crafting and planner sections- in this store, they have it in 2 separate places in the store. Michaels has some great sales, promotions and also has coupons you can get off website. They have a large selection and the parking is really easy at this store, too.

I shop here, and Im satisfied. I love arts and crafts! You might say that Im "artsy fartsy"! Have a lot of cats and live alone. My favorite cat is named peeppeep. I pretend that he is my boyfriend. I only gave 3 stars, because I with Michaels was more cat friendly.

Took a Wilton decorating class here and it was worth it! My wife comes here all the time for various things. Never pay full price! They ALWAYS have coupons available on their website that you can just pull up from your phone and the friendly cashier will scan it.

If you think shopping there is bad how about working for them. The store manager lies to there own employees. He thinks it encourages his employees. Dont shop there. Terrible company you cant even imagine how much money they make off there customers. #disgusting.

We had to wait a while because one of the cashiers was waiting for a customer to go track down a coupon. The sidewalk in front looked to have not been cleaned in a while. Friend found what he was looking for, though. And the shelves seemed stocked.

Good selection of arts and crafts supplies as well as frames. There are always coupons which make the already reasonable prices even better. The store itself can be a bit on the sloppy side, but not so much that it makes finding things difficult.

Enjoy getting art supplies here as the staff is very helpful and experienced. They offer a wide variety of discounts and generally have good prices to begin with. Good selection of pen and pencil drawing supplies which is what I was looking for.

A while ago, I needed some things for a funeral the next day. I was too distraught to face the public and the manager allowed me to come in just after closing, didnt rush me and made a terrible situation just a little bit easier.

Awful customer service. From their lack of effort helping you find something to their lack of cashiers. They suggested I go somewhere else rather than help me find my item(which I found on my own). I will from now on.

A good place to get craft supplies but dont count on finding someone in store to help you find anything. Unfortunately it isnt the most intuitive layout and it always seems to be messy. Gets the job done though!

Scary place it like its not sure to restock or go out of business. The M on the outside on the Michaels is missing. Dont go there if you are looking for a craft magazine for they barely have any.

if you love crafting this is heaven. but beware make sure you have coupons coz if your in a budget easily can spend couple of hundreds of dollar

The store was a total mess understocked and the bathroom was so disgusting that I could not even use it....the place needs serious improvement
