I have been in and out of the Monroe Ben Franklin purchasing craft supplies for my Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary. I paid the high prices at Ben Franklin because I thought I was getting better customer service, right? WRONG!!!! I thought that after weeks of shopping and making multiple purchases that the ladies at the store would get to know me and my crafting, right? WRONG!!!! Instead- while comparing paints, I was crowded with sales ladies hovering in the aisles asking if they could assist me. I wondered why so many sales ladies in my aisle working (all of a sudden). Then the other shoe dropped: I was asked to take my bag to the front. I asked why? No answer. I let the lady know I brought in paint (purchased from Ben Franklin, with receipts), to compare to other paints. The sales lady asked to see my receipt, to verify. Once verified, she then told me to take my bag and paint to the front regardless. When I asked, "how can I match my paints without my paint?" She responded with a shoulder shrug and an "Im sorry". I was then escorted to the front of the store in front of everyone. I was humiliated. I was treated like a criminal and the worst part about this: I had done nothing wrong. I have been witness to a student of mine being treated this way years ago while on break from Harvard. I remembered turning it into a teachable moment and letting her cry for the unjustness of the situation, never thinking once that I would ever experience it myself.

Store has turned extremely religious and everything they carry seams to only be aimed at that. They rairly ever have classes that are interesting anymore and always seem to cancel them if theyre arnt enough people signed up which is such a let down. The staff is overly helpful and its kind of frustrating when you cant just browse the isles for craft projects, instead youve got 6 different people asking if you need help or following close behind you as you shop. To many coloring books and not enough other crafts. Framing department isnt one Id recommend either...not the best craft store out there, Ive taken my business elsewhere for the most part.

I have only been here a few times, but EVERYTIME I come here the staff is so friendly and nice. If you happen to ask someone who doesnt have your answer, they will stick with you until they find someone who does. They always have the cutest DIY ideas that are so reasonably priced. I was checking out the christmas stuff today and the lady working offered to share her pintrest borad with me where she posts all the DIY projects the have up. This is by far the best craft store around. Its always fun to visit just to check out what they offer.

They have a nice selection of craft supplies but the staff is made of mostly bitter old women who are unbearably mean to customers. They openly hate having children in there and tonight we were told we needed get out 4 minutes after it closed. Of course the store was still open for family shop night... But as we were just paying customers we needed to "get out". Really never been so offended at any shopping center. So whoever is hiring please hire happy welcoming people who arent insane.

Remains my favorite craft store on the planet. Wonderful selection, polite and knowledgeable staff. A fun place to wander and find treasures. I get a solid and complete response to every inquiry I make. Ive had two issues over the many years Ive shopped here and both where addressed thoroughly and resolved completely. I love the home town, friendly feel I find at the Monroe location. I like the open and airy feel to the layout of the store.

They offer some crafts and items you arent able to find at Michaels. They have fun classes and great holiday special events. I wish their beading selection was more extensive, but all in all, they have great variety and great service. They also offer fabric, which is not very common for craft stores.

Everything you need for any art or craft --bead, scrapbook, coloring, ribbon, ideas galore, frame, kid project etc. Plus they have classes for special interests. And its all in one average size store with plenty of knowledgeable staff around if you need them.

On my first visit I spoke with five different employees, as Im quite the talker, and all of them were incredibly friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and Ive found a great addition to places I can shop at for craft supplies and more!

Neat neat place - they even offer classes for adults and summer camps for kids at really affordable rates. Store has a lot to look at, so give yourself lots of time. Home decorations are a little spendy, but most craft supplies are cheap

Ben Franklin in Monroe is by far the best, especially when compared to the Redmond store. A far larger selection of yarns & knitting needles for my various projects.

Very disappointed that Ben Franklin Crafts does not offer coupons like the other craft stores so. I would come out to Monroe much more often if I had a coupon.

Always fun to accompany wife, and shop for bargains. Busy, pleasant, reasonable prices. Last Christmas season we got smokin deals on telescoping selfie sticks

They have a great selection of craft supplies, more unusual stuff than Michaels sells. I especially enjoy the projects they have in their store.

Great place for arts and crafting. The prices are kind of higher but if your local it beats driving to another city. They also are very nice .

Meets all your crafting needs. Not necessarily cheap, but are crafts ever? They do have pretty much everything youd want to craft or sew.
