I love this JoAnn Fabrics! The personnel, except for one surly young "lady" who I reported and have not seen since, has always been helpful. I know almost nothing about arts and crafts, so my shopping consists of specific things such as coloring books, pens and fringe for a table runner, needle and thread. I found the personnel much more helpful than Michaels. While checking out, I saw they offer sewing classes and signed up with Polly who is most patient and encouraging as well as helpful and delightful. Im taking private lessons, which are 3 hours in length, and she has helped me pick a pattern, find the right material for the jumper and for the jacket as well as the right interface. She encouraged me to line the jacket with a different fabric of a contrasting color. Its going to be stunning and its nothing I would have attempted on my own. Also an enjoyable atmosphere provided with a separate area for the lessons.

I go here a lot and it had a nice selection of fabrics and yarn and other sewing necessities. The selection amazing but a of items seem to on rotation, and other fabric stores the colors may vary slightly per roll, so I highly suggest getting all the fabric you need for your project at a time to avoid a fuss later. There are also supplies other hobbies such as clay, painting, stamping, and jewelry making those tend to the base supplies if you want something specific I recommend you check online to see if they carry before making the trip. Lol There are normally a lot of nice coupons too. The workers are friendly and not counting a few misplaced items the shop is relatively clean. The only issue is during busier times in the day they sometimes seem like they dont have enough staff to accommodate cutting and registers so the wait can get a little long for either line so plan ahead to try and avoid the busy hours.

We placed a very large custom order that was on a tight deadline. The employee told me that the order (at a heafty shipping cost) would be here in 2-3 days. 10 days later it came. When I went to pick up they couldnt find my order and pretty much stated that I had heard the message on my voicemail wrong, good think I saved it! After replaying my message and 1 hour of waiting in the store, they (the manager and another employee) FINALLY found it. Needless to say the manager didnt credit any shipping charges back. Hindsight the fabric was great and this store hires ANYONE off the street, no experience necessary! Lol.

New Pronoia Bliss

I got a greeting as I walked in the store, but that was it. Although there were several people patrolling the aisles, not one offered assistance, which seemed rather bizarre. I prefer other Joanns in the area as the selection at this store isnt as abundant.
