This was hands down one of the worst experiences I have ever had especially at this type of store. You think you would get good customer service at somewhere you have to pay to even shop at. They have a no-hassle return policy. I purchased my item less than a week ago. There was nothing wrong with my item is just simply didnt work for me how I was hoping it would. Ive never done a return at Costco before so I was unaware of how you go about doing a return. I assumed since they have an entry in an exit I would go to the entry. I walked in with my item do the entry I showed them my card and I continued to walk through the pathway where the returns area is which is over by the exit. I walked up to the returns counter and I stated I would like to make a return please. The guy was like where did you come from and I was like excuse me what do you mean I came through the the entry and walked over here. Then the guy has the audacity to say how is that even possible. So I stayed it to him again I walked through the entry like I assumed you were supposed to walk around and came over here. He is like well you needed to come to the exit in a very rude like manner he also insinuated that I was stealing the item. At this point I was very frustrated. I stated to the person that they need to take a different tone while talking to me and then he very rudely said do you have the receipt. I immediately replied back with yes I have the receipt and the card that I purchased the item with. I am just unbelievably baffled as to why I was treated this way when I have the receipt I have the card and I have my membership on me. Not to mention I felt as if he was calling me stupid and a thief. I immediately requested a manager at this point. The manager came over immediately and in his case he was very nice. He started to help me with my order and it was very apologetic but at the same time the guy it was originally helping me who was being rude was still talking over his manager and stated that I need not to talk to him in any particular manner. I was not talking to him anymore at this point and he was trying to antagonize something. When I stated to the manager that if he does not stop talking to me that way I will be forced to cancel my membership. The employee decided he wanted to say go ahead and cancel it we dont need your membership. The point of all of this is to let you guys know that they do hire worthless people that are rude and clearly do not care about customer service. At this point I left a manager to me my return and I left immediately before I did end up saying something stupid because of this point my boiling point was reached. I will be contacting customer service Everett questing a cancellation of membership I will never shop there again and furthermore Ive already talked to my friends and some of my close family who also have memberships and they will be cancelling as well we will take our business to Sams Club if thats what it takes to get good customer service. Again this was a horrible experience and I hope the person that treated me that way no longer has a job and I dont say that Loosely because I know how the service industry can be but this was not customer service this was customer abuse. I will also be looking into possibly getting a lawyer on this matter if they do not resolve my issues. I hope this review helps anybody that decides to read it because this is a Shoppers worst experience.

Pros: - Service is always great. Return policy is solid and cashiers are always friendly - Cheap and fast food deli area - Good selection of liquors, wine, and single-bottle (22oz) beers - Ample parking and big hallways helps minimize the crowd effect - Gas prices seem to be the best in Seattle Cons: - Cost of the liquor has gotten very expensive over the last year, what appears to be a 20-30% increase in pricing across the board on scotch & bourbon. The savings are not as significant now as they were when they launched liquor. - Quality of the produce is good but not great. Whats up with the bananas always being green? - The savings are not often as great as they seem. On many of the items I typically get at grocery stores, I might save as much as a dollar per unit on some items but the savings are often much smaller than that. When I do save money, its often because the brand is inferior to my typical brand. You really need to know what to shop for to actually save money (bread and coffee, for instance). - A restrictive credit card policy (I believe they only accept MasterCard or Visa, but not both) - A restrictive family plan policy (I cant use my wifes card)

As far as Costco compares to other stores, yes, they dont always have certain particular items that are commonly found at most grocers, but they have the basics plus some awesome exclusive stuff and other random/seasonal stuff. I still have to make the occasional trip to Fred Meyer on the way home because they dont have something I need, but generally I still prefer Costco (this one and the Everett one) over other grocers. Ive really liked this once since its opened. Like any other Costco/store, it has its common chaotic times, so I try to during slow times. I havent yet had a bad experience here. One time a cashier accidentally rang me up for 2 of an item instead of 1 but it was an incredibly easy fix at customer service. Also, shout out to Jordan in customer service. I had accidentally left something in the cart one day, someone turned it in, when I went to pick it up, both toddlers fell asleep in the car. I called and Jordan went above & beyond to bring my item out to me so I didnt have to wake up my kids and drag them inside. Thank you SO MUCH Jordan!

This newest CostCo has been open for ~9 months now, and rightly should be the companys flagship store. It might look just like every other CostCo but this store is larger, brighter, whiter, and with wider aisles than all other branches. Heck, the gas station was planned for better flow; no more LONG lines just to approach a pump! Differences noted, the similarities remain precisely the same: great selection of fantastic items at excellent prices.

I like the store, Ive been a Costco member for 15 years and for the first time in all this years I didnt feel welcome by a Costco staff member, a cashier named Vanessa at thist store, she made me feel like I was worthless as a customer, she was very rude and disrespectful. I hope her the best maybe she was having a bad day but she should reconsider the way she treats people, the fact that Im not white doesnt give her the right to discriminate me.

While this is a relatively new Costco, it already feels like home. We come here frequently to restock the fridge and home, grab a few quick items, get gas, or even just grab a slice of pizza. The parking lot gets pretty full, as with any Costco, but stay to the outskirts and theres plenty of spots. The staff is friendly, and there is rarely a long line to check out or for gas.
