2.0 star rating 1/14/2017 I have always loved coming to Costco for as long as I remember to stock up on household necessities, and food. We love what Costco has to offer from the photo center, the tire center, the eye center, and everything else. However, the associate working the photo center today was very rude, unhelpful, and lacks basic customer service. My uncle came with us and intended to take a passport sized photo to use on his tombstone. He even went to the extent of dressing up, wearing a suit and tie to ensure his picture looks nice and proper. The first time we took the picture, I asked Alex for my uncle, since he does not speak English, to see how the picture looked like. He showed us very quickly. When I asked for a retake, I told him specifically that we wanted the picture to show more of the body, instead of a full headshot, not showing just the collarbone area and up. He didnt listen to what I had to say, and simply ignored me. When we asked to see the picture, he again showed us very quickly and seemed to not care how his customers picture turns out. When we saw the developed photo, we were unhappy with the results because the photo did not display the tie and that just beats the purpose of uncle going the extra mile to dress up. I asked Alex if he can fix it, but he responded saying he was only following the proportions on the passport booklet. If we wanted to have it fixed, my uncle has to pay again and retake the picture. When we went through the process to take the picture, Alex spoke to us rudely, like he did not want to do his job or take further retakes for us. I asked if there can be less white space above the head and more of the body, and he rudely said no, saying that there needs to be more space for cropping, which doesnt make sense if it is just white space. When we saw the developed picture, it was better but there was still a lot of white space above the head, which isnt very proportional to how the picture is supposed to be like. Alexs way of taking peoples passport picture is snapping the picture very quickly and getting the service done as fast a possible. He should put more care and consideration into his customers pictures because no one wants a crappy photo. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but please do not vent your frustrations onto customers. It only leads to disappointed and unsatisfied customers.

I have to disagree with the person that said Costco Gas prices are no different than the outside. Ive noticed a more than 20 cents per gallon cheaper price at Costco than just about all the surrounding gas stations. Of course, you may have seen a competitors CASH prices, which might end up closer, but since I dont use cash much, its nice to get a lower non-cash price per gallon at Costco. I do think the way the parking lot was designed is a mess, especially if youre navigating to and from the gas pumps at a busy time, but this is the fault of the architects who designed everything when the place was being built. Some peoples degrees just arent worth the toilet paper they were printed on. On a separate note: I love the Granola, Pumpkin and Flax Seed cereal that Costco sells. Its reasonably priced, and actually fills me up in the morning because it has real protein in it as well. Natural sugars are used. NONE of that poison high fructose corn syrup :-)! And of course, I love the samples!

One of the better Costcos in the Bay Area however there are a couple of employees that like to make the customers life more difficult. Checkout lines can be long during busy days such as a big sports weekend (i.e. Superbowl). The thing that really bugs me is that they keep moving all of the merchandise around. Dried fruit is in one area for one week and the next it is on the other side of the store?? Bread area used to be near the center of the store and now its near the bakery. Plus, aisles do not have any labeling of what produce is being shelved like a typical supermarket. You either have to look around the entire store or ask an employee that may or may not know where it is. Very typical for any Costco, but really annoying.

Grasias DIOS LOS BENDIGA ... ;)

Nice location. Parking spaces are nice and wide, but sometimes hard to find on weekends. If you dont mind walking a little bit, theres usually more parking near the tire center. Gas prices typically 30 cents or more cheaper than local gas stations. If you live nearby, there are no gas lines in early mornings and late nights. Love the value of their ready-to-eat hot dogs and pizzas, but this location is not good for eating in, because the few benches are crowded near the checkout lanes. The other Costco near the airport has a huge separate dining room and is great for eating in.

Look lady, I know youre wearing the Costco badge and all I asked was where a particular item was and you went with "no English" then when I approached your coworker all of a sudden you spoke English...wth. Thats not the worst part, I understand Tagalog and i know damn well you called me an annoying person in that tongue to your coworker when you couldnt be bother to help me to begin with. Seriously, I wish I was petty enough to single you out but to be honest this is the latest if a series of bad customer service with the people that work here.

I love Costco. You need a membership to get in but its an one stop shop for everything you need - from fresh produce to laundry detergent to car mats to gasoline!! Everything comes in bulk but you can easily split things with a friend or other family members. Plus $1.50 for a polish dog and soda?! cant get that anywhere else nowadays. I also love their easy return policy. -1 because the parking lot is always crazy busy but its Costco!! :)

What can I say about this costco and others, bulk sized merchandise, a mountain full of magazines to books, tvs, sound systems, mattresses, demos of traveling products, sampling of food, lots of fruits and greens, beverages galore, baby items, seasonal things like "moon cake" and clothing items. Just remember, no entry unless you have a Costco membership either a white or a black with gold band card or the new appointed "costco visa" card.

Isnt Costco just THE BEST?!?! I mean where else can you go and get 50 rolls of toilet paper for less than $8? And the gas? Gas is so cheap!! Id wait in line for 30 minutes if it meant I can get my gas 40 cents cheaper per gallon. This Costco has a challenging parking lot, lots of traffic jams and confused drivers make this lot a recipe for disaster. PRO TIP: Use the secondary entrance closer to Hickey Blvd and avoid the mess.
