I just had a horrible experience with their managers at this Costco location (the PDX airport one). Yes sales person might gave wrong information, yes customers can be frustrated when they were given wrong information, these are all understandable. But what would a customer feel if the associate manager argues with you with a loud voice, attempt to cut the conversation off rudely, show you the door and make you feel you like an idiot? And below are the points he was making, if a wrong price was promised to a customer: Costco cannot lose money in this transaction... We are in a business to make money, You (the customer) is already saving $$ by buying from Costco ... You figure whose interest is the first. You the customer? I was made felt like a stingy bastard! If something does not make busienss sense, they are ready to take back their words regardless of what you, the customer feel like (being cheated). Yes you might be given a good price but no, if it is too low and we lose money (I cannot believe this - they will make LESS that is for sure), then sorry, you lose, just pretend that you were not given that price, and that promotion actually only appies to a different model ... Maybe this one is too close to the airport and WA - so that their business is too good from out of state customers and me the average Joe was simply ignored, all the way from upper management. Hope you the dear reader are not the next one! I can swear to God that I will not go to this Costco for the rest of my life, and I want all of my family, relatives and friends to stop going there as well. Do yourself a favor as well and go to the one on Dartmouth - I only went there twice so far and was treated very well. Mangers even come out and politely remind customers when it is closing time.

Attention Android Smartphone users; Look no further! See Adam or the other 4 salespeople in the Kiosk for AMAZING speed of activation and the Best prices I've found for Android Devices. I searched online, Best Buy, Walmart and Radio Shack. I was fed up, frustrated and upset as a VZW CSR screwed up and placed a shipment for a USED phone onto my 3rd line of service! None of the stores afore mentioned could undo this VZW Employee's outrageous error as it was a Saturday. Even a CSR Manager couldn't undo their own employee's mistake of preordering a "dumbphone" shipment I never agreed nor approved terms for. We had tried conference calls between VZW and Best Buy and still they couldn't get our upgrade approved. We knew the phone we wanted and had an had been paying for a device w/ No sound or screen for 2 months until Upgrade date was insight.
Frustrated, tired and ready to suspend our grandfathered in unlimited data plan and drive home 116 miles... I tried Costco. Adam was the salesman and saw we could upgrade my line then activate it on my Husband's number. This stumped 2 reps at Best Buy! Within 5 mins I paid for the new phone, a Global Motorola Droid X 3, Adam activated it and switched both devices back to their correct phone numbers. We paid only $99 dollars and were so happy as if we had waited a week for the error at VZW to correct itself or return to Best Buy, we would have paid 70$ more for the exact same device! Costco even gives its customers a free car charger, leather case and 3 screen protectors. I'll never look elsewhere again! Thank You Adam and Costco for your speedy service, and dedicated employees who know what they are doing.

I cant believe the negative comments Im reading about my favorite store! Weve been shopping at Costco for many years and NO ONE beats their prices, on anything, although the foods and sundries are often packaged in fairly large units. On electronics you typically get an extra years warranty as well as a great price. The selection is sometimes limited, but in my opinion as an engineer, the products they do sell are top quality. The food they sell also tend to be healthier, lower fat, low sodium, high fiber, lower sugar, -- not junk food -- and I love all the free samples theyre always offering as I shop. Its almost a meal. The produce is always good, The lines are sometimes long, with people pushing two loaded carts, but they have up to three employees at each register and they move the customers along faster than any store Ive ever seen. They also pack your purchases in recycled boxes rather than plastic bags that just go into the trash. Even the food line is super fast, good and cheap. These folks are efficient! One other thing that is important to me is that Costco treats their employees well, pays them well, and provides health insurance, unlike WalMart which pays so poorly that employees have to use food stamps and Medicaid. As a result turnover is low and the staff is more knowledgeable than other warehouse stores. I can also get my fair trade coffee there. But the bottom line is your bottom line: You will save money, get quality products, be treated well and know you arent taking advantage of someone working for minimum wages. Ive read that Costco has twice the sales per square foot of Sams Club, and I know why!

I will never go back to the pharmacy!! A staff at the drop off counter wasnt helpful at all. I asked my Dr.s order must had been called in. She told me off there was no fax they had received and nothing was found on the database. I showed her my appointment card that had the contact information of my Dr. and asked her to call in. She excused that 2 customers were awaited behind me, so she would not have a time for me. I waited for her until be available. Right after she was done with the 2 customers, went back to another work. My card was ignored, left out on the counter. I called her back, push to call in. She looked up my Dr.s name on their database and found the fax. Awaiting time to pick up was for 30 minutes, so I killed the time and went back to the counter. They didnt have an enough stock for my RX... geez! They wasted my time!! A pharmacist guaranteed that it would be ready to pickup next day. I confirmed that its ready before leaving home. They said no problem. I got a staff at the counter, asked my RX. She couldnt find it on the computer and told me "I dont see anything here." I explained her what was going on yesterday and it must be ready. it didnt sound right to me. I asked her to get someone else to talk. She looked unhappy but grabbed another staff. She showed the monitor and tended that there was no my name. the staff advice her how to check more. She found my RX but no apologies.

I am only reviewing this because of the bad service I received at the Costco gas station at this location, not Costco as a whole. I love shopping at Costco even though the lines are pretty terrible and they could use more employees. Anyways, today we tried to get gas at this location which we thought happened. Gave the guy our card and we thought he had pumped gas into our car. Turned out... WE NEVER GOT GAS IN THE CAR LOL! So we had to go back in line and finally was able to get our tank full. Im not sure how this is even possible? I remember the guy saying that for next time we should put in our card beforehand which is fine but I believe he just said it because he was in a rush. And obviously he was since we got no gas in our tank. Turned out he was gone when we got back in line so obviously he couldnt be bothered to do his job the right way! All in all, bad service and there is no excuse for this. Hopefully this wont happen again.
