Martin the pharmacist is a wonderful man. Friendly, cheerful, immediately responsive to EVERY customer, no matter how many there are inside. Martin caught a medication error made by my doctors office when he reached thru the drive thru window over to hand me my meds and noticed I was pregnant. He said You are pregnant. You cant have this medication because it would be bad for your baby. Then he called the doctor and determined that a staff member had misread and mispelled the doctors order and prescribed me a completely different medication versus the one that would have harmed my baby if Martin had not gone the extra step to notice my pregnancy and be sure I was taking something safe. They have a drive up window and dont mind if you ask them to toss in some non RX stuff (bandaids, Advil) along with your prescription. Not at all like Walgreens or Rite Aid or any of the chains--thank goodness. They are great at working with your insurance company to ensure your coverage is at the highest level. They will even look at your prescriptions and recommend a plan for you if you have chronic illness which requires lots of pills. Whether you have great prescription coverage or Medicare or are cash paying, all customers get the best service at this pharmacy. This business and Martin, the owner, are one of the true gems of Issaquah. They will even help you with meds for your dogs and other pets. THE BEST!

Martin is a top notch pharmacist. I very much enjoy being in the same building as him because he is my go to guy when I have pharmacy related questions. In other words, he has become the guy that this doctor goes to with questions. If you are looking for a new pharmacy, I would very much encourage you to look past the big box stores and try Medical Center Pharmacy. This is why: 1. I have seen them go to great lengths for my patients in helping them out with their prescriptions. For many medicines, there are multiple versions of the drug that the pharmacist may provide. There may be small differences in how effective they are, but often HUGE differences in price. By knowing their stuff AND taking the time to explore your particular insurance, they can often save you a lot. 2. Drug pricing is all over the place. I have seen patients get outright gouged on prices at other places. 3. Youre not a number. I can imagine that counting pills all day could lead to impersonal customer service. The staff at Medical Center Pharmacy seem to know everybody by name. 4. They have a drive through window. If you dont know how awesome this is, its because you havent tried it.

I have had chronic neck pain requiring lots of medications over the past year (resulting in disc replacement surgery). I was referred to Martins Medical Center Pharmacy after not being able to get some of my medications at Bartells (they said theyd have to order it - taking 2 or more days for most of the medications I needed - which was a real pain). Martin and his staff are always extremely fast & friendly. I usually have my 2 year old with me & he loves to look at the big fish tank in the lobby. Ive never met such a caring pharmacist - he actually talks to customers - not like the bigger chains where you interact with pharmacists for a few awkward seconds if you have questions. They are not open on the weekends, but they do have a drive up window - which Ive utilized many times. They are definitely worth the trip if you want to speak with a pharmacist who obviously loves his job & helping others!

Hidden away in a medical center that has few tenants, behind the Issaquah post office is a rare and fantastic pharmacy. They are open M-F from 9a to 6p and while theyre closed weekends,and are somewhat difficult to get to when there is traffic on Gilman - it is entirely worth the effort. They know most of their customers. They take the extra effort if it is filling the prescription quickly while you wait or being willing to search for difficult to find medications. This kind of effort cannot be found at chain pharmacies. They are kind and dont trivialize my worries. Martin and the staff are sincere and I am comfortable talking to them, and I take the comfort they provide.

This really is a top notch pharmacy. They main guy (Martin?) who runs it caught a wrong prescription TWICE!! One time he looked at the bottle, looked at me & looked at the bottle again and simply asked "Is this for you?." Yes, it was. But the prescription was written for the wrong concentration - a childs concentration. He prevented what could have been potentially life-threatening situation. The one reviewer who said this guy was rude must be reviewing a different place. Ive gone here for years & hes always been very polite, empathetic, responsive and informative - and not the kind of personality that would use the language described in that review.

I was referred to this pharmacy by our veterinarian for a special order. Martin called me and offered advice, in addition to much empathy and promised he would be able to fill the order. Because it was a holiday week, he could not promise speedy response. I was happily surprised to receive the prescription in the mail in just a couple of days. Way To Go, Martin. Thanks so much

Martin and his staff are always pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and with such a good spirit of goodwill to all - which is exactly the kind of health care one needs when one is sick. They compound my cats Fafnirs thyroid gel, and I always like that they are so civilised that they know which Opera it is, Fafnirs name comes from. Bless everyone at this Pharmacy!
