After having several bad experiences at the Federal Way Barnes and Noble, I have come to the decision to never return. Last time I was at this store, one of the employees made snide remarks about my purchases (Pop figure and a YA book) in true book snob fashion. Today I went to pick up a couple items using my Educator discount card. My partner and I wanted to split the transaction between two different cards. The cashier didnt ring it up properly the first time (it happens, no big deal) but then gave me a bunch of grief about what I was buying (one book, a bookmark, and a board game) and using two different cards to pay. She said "this is only for you to buy things for your classroom, dont expect to get away with this again". I wasnt attempting to "get away" with anything. I was following the rules and dont appreciate the condescending lecture based on false presumptions (my savings totaled $3.40 by the way). The cashiers name is Christie H. I wont be visiting this location again. I will just go to Tuckwila or shop online where I dont have to deal with this nonsense.

To the "Google User"...it was SO kind and helpful for you to point out that there was a replacement on the shelf. Chances are that since they work there, they probably didnt know that. Good thing you filled them in!...Well, not really since you still had to call customer service. Heres some friendly advice: next time just take the answer that the patient employee gives you and dont argue and then write a rude comment on a social website. The employee gave you the answer to your question and whether or not you like it is of no one elses concern but yours. The company obviously has a policy so maybe you should identify that policy BEFORE you purchase an item. This was your fault, not Barnes and Nobles. You have the right to disagree with a policy but absolutely no right for getting upset at the representative trying to keep his/her job by enforcing the policy of the company that pays their paycheck. Or better yet...dont shop retail.

What Id like to tell the Barnes & Noble Manager in Denver, CO who gave my daughter and her partner grief after sharing a tender kiss while picking out a wedding planner book: This IS what a family looks like. These two amazing young women were choosing a wedding planner book in your store, and you couldnt handle it, so you had to try to rain on their parade, suggesting your family friendly place" had no room for them and their love. I hope you find someone to fill your heart like they have and stop being such a hater.

The young lady with short dark black hair was rude at the Starbucks Cafe. They messed up my drink and made it a huge inconvience to fix my drink. They should not be carrying the name Starbucks because they are nothing like other Starbucks locations. She could of just appoligized and squirted a pump of flavoring instead of being rude and making a huge deal about it. Will never go back here again.

Theres plenty of books to choose from and usually they have quite appealing discounts. One thing to look out for, the "Starbucks" inside the Barnes & Noble is in fact their own and not an actual Starbucks. The coffee they serve is Starbucks. Thats the source of the misconception. (Starbucks cards are not accepted)

Reliable, friendly branch of Barnes & Noble. This one has a nice, large parking lot adjacent. Large magazine selection. The gift section is not as big as some other branches, but the coffee shop is a decent size with seating for over 20. Always nice and helpful staff here.

Bought a Nook Color here. When the power adapter failed, I went to exchange it. They informed me I had to call customer service. I pointed out that theres a replacement on the shelf. They said "The adapters we have are for sale." No kidding, morons. So I get to wait 5-7 days.

Great customer service by both of the ladies in the back however I didnt appreciate the security guard rushing to the front to watch me as I left I just bought 80 dollars worth of books so I was pissed off at his assumption I was stealing

Staff was very friendly and helpful, even when entering around closing. Bathroom was clean and stocked. Starbucks had deliciously yummy treats! Great selection of childrens books and even toys!
