I may change my review after I see the service tech, but so far I am not impressed with this company. I have a family of five and our washing machine is a pretty important appliance. When I started laundry this morning at 5:30 am, the machines engine would not turn, no water will drain. These things happen, I understand. I called promptly and the man on the phone told me he could get someone out on Wednesday or Friday. "Wednesday OR Friday?" I asked him politely. He responded in a tone that made me believe his assessment of my intelligence to be less than a house plant. Very slowly he explained to me, "Yes, today is Monday...Tomorrow is Tuesday, I have no one available, Wednesday is the day after that." Is this supposed to be customer service? There are no other companies that offer repair services to the point that he would talk to me like he is the only shop in town? And not only that, but waiting until Wednesday with a family of five is one thing, but OR Friday? My daughter is potty training and my husband works construction. So three loads of laundry a day at least, Wednesday Or Friday is a big difference. So I tell him Wednesday would be great. Then he tells me the service tech will call on Wednesday morning, between 8-10 to schedule a 2 hour window for that day. REALLY? I can only assume that so many of their appliances are going bad that they cant nail down a time and actually set real appointments with people. Even in the morning? I mean I understand not knowing how long one fix may take, but first appointment is a 2 hour window too? The coffee at this shop must be amazing, I hope the owner knows all the window time he is paying his employees. So now I will be waiting all day on Wednesday for a tech just to come look at my washer, chances are slim it will be fixed that day. Two stars. Update: The tech called me very early into the two hour call window and showed up at the beginning of his quoted 2 hour window. He was very polite and nice to me and he fixed my washer today! Which was great. I was very impressed with the service tech and would give him personally five stars. I still am not thrilled with the original person I talked to. Since the tech schedules his own appointments, Im not sure why the other man is the one dealing with people when his skills are severely lacking.

Very dissatisfied customers, reason being was, I called Judd and Black Appliance to set up an appointment and I told them exactly what the situation was(stuck object in my front loader washing machine). After 2 weeks of waiting, they sent out a technician that was only on the scene for less than 15 minutes that seemed to be in a hurry to go somewhere. The technician then tell me exactly the same thing I told them over the phone, that I had a "stuck object in my washer" GO FIGURE. The technician then told me he was not prepared because he did not have the proper tools or personal to repair the washing machine today and I needed to reschedule for a different day for them to come back out again. So I was charged $95 for someone to come out and tell me that there was something stuck in my washing machine exactly what I told them the issue was... This was a complete waste of my day off from work and waste of money. I definitely do not recommend this business to anyone. Very dissatisfied customers, Koen

My dryer panel broke, I bought the extended warranty and the scheduler would only let me schedule out for a whole day. I didnt have a whole day, so she said she would call me back when we could reschedule, well that was several months ago. I had to call and talk to the manager who scheduled me in a 2 hour block. He said the people at the position were gone and he was apologetic and gave me some free soap. I gave them a 3 because their customer recovery was good. I am glad to hear that the employee is no longer there, because she was difficult. I am reserved about this whole event. I paid $2300 for just the washing machine and dryer and I expect them to work and for Judd and Black to respond better than the did the first time

This store has a great selection of brand name appliances and they go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. The staff there is so helpful and knowledgeable. Mary Adams is especially pleasant to work with. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a good deal on great appliances.
