When my husband and I went into Parr VW in 2013 to look into purchasing a TDI Jetta, I did not think that we would be going back. The pressure to purchase a car before we left that evening was unbelievable. We ended up purchasing our TDI Jetta from another dealer and really loved the car. Fast forward to the VW Diesel Settlement. We elected to take advantage of the buyback option and wanted to purchase another VW. Parr, now Haselwood, is the closest dealer to our home and we thought we would go into the dealership to see if they had a Passat that would fit our needs. Our intention was not to go into the dealership that day to purchase unless we found exactly what we were looking for and the price was right. We met Luke Buchanan and I have to say, he made purchasing our new VW at Haselwood our BEST car buying experience to date. Luke was knowledgeable, helpful, answered all of our questions, and truly went above and beyond including finding a car that had the essentials and best of all, it was $20. under where we wanted to be as far as price point! The transaction was smooth and right to the point. Not to mention, another great thing about purchasing a vehicle in Bremerton is that the tax rate is lower than a lot of counties in WA. We have been to other dealerships and after all of the back and forth, it feels like you got hit by a bus. This time, it was different and in a positive way. My husband and I both felt like we were given a fair price and we were able to smile and laugh with Luke through the whole process. After we agreed on the price, Jim, in the financing department was phenomenal. Jim helped make the paperwork end move quickly and smoothly. He found the best rate possible for the financing and did not try to sell us "packages" we did not need. No pressure at all. When looking for a VW, look no further. Haselwood is a wonderful dealership that will do what they can earn your business. We cannot speak for other sales folks, but we can say that Luke was awesome and would not hesitate to work with him again or recommend him to anyone. Thank you Luke, Jim and the whole staff for making our experience great!

Not so good. Dont really know how to rate my experience other than I didnt.t like it.I want a new Passat TDI for my car and to tow behind our RV. The problem is that the 2015 Passat isnt towable 4 flat like my 96 TDI that I love. So Im trying to figure out what to do but thinking Ill decide to buy one and dolly it instead. Ive been procrastinating on the decision for awhile dreading going to the Dealer and getting the "what do we need to do to get you to buy today? pitch". Well on a recent RV trip my trusty 96 Passat had a couple problem and I came to grips with it was time to bight the bullet and up grade. So we stopped in Portland on the way home and went to a VW dealer and drove a car (I want manual transmission) and after a little hand wrestling got what I wanted a number that I could consider while making a decision. Stopped in Olympia at the VW dealer on the way home. What a pain, the area the dealers are in is not friendly for an RV towing a car but we finally got there. Boy was the dealer great in 10 minutes or so explained my dilemma and was given a number. No BS. What color do you want? Blue. A few seconds later.. theres one in Yakama I can get for you. Havent bought from them yet but probably will. So now to Bremerton where I was born 70+ years ago and still live. Where have you been and what numbers did you get were the first two questions. Wouldnt tell other than I had driven one in Portland. They didnt have a manual one but could look it up. After awhile I was told that it would have to come Los Angles and therefore they couldnt give me a price because they didnt know what delivery/ preparation fees would be. It was $825 on the various cars I looked at on the lot. All I had to do was put down a deposit and when the car got here they could tell me what it cost???! So I left without what I wanted. A price I could consider. Pretty sure Im not buying a car from them but my problem is they lost my confidence Im probably not going to get my service there for the one Im finally probably going to buy. Take it for what its worth but recommend you check at least one other dealer..

By far the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. Our journey began by hearing about another dealerships incentives of $4000 over trade value. We talked to Parr and explained that we were looking for a new vehicle, but would prefer a VW and asked if they could match that offer. We told them what we were looking for in a monthly payment up front. They said it would be no issue and we scheduled a time to go see them. We had two vehicles to trade in, a car and a motorcycle, and had to make multiple trips due to the fact we have three small children and they dont fit in the trade in vehicle. I had already done the leg work as far as what car we were looking for ahead of time, so there was no real sales pitch involved. While admittedly it took some time to get a quote back on the bike, it still took four hours into the process before we even saw the first numbers. They not only asked us to put an additional $9000 down, they said the best we could do was $14500 in negative equity and a payment $250 more than we were looking for. When I mentioned the $4000 incentive previously discussed, the sales manager said that money cant just come from nowhere and they wouldnt be able to honor it. I tried to speak with the man, but after the second time of being talked over so he could continue to tell me this was the best offer I could get I grabbed the kids and left. I am not upset with the fact we couldnt make a deal. I am very upset that we were basically lied to to get us in the door, then they had absolutely no intentions of honoring the things that were discussed. The icing on the cake was the lack of professionalism of the sales manager. I hope for the businesss sake this is not the norm, but I will never set foot in that place again.

Google wont allow no stars On July 22, 2017 we bought a jeep here. The loan was sent to the wrong lender, not our credit union, without notifying us. Also upon reviewing the paperwork we found additional charges were added that we had not agreed upon. The paperwork had taken so long to draw up that my husband was late to work and we did not take the proper time to review the charges. We have waited to write the review while the dealership corrected the loan situation and in hopes they would correct the over charges. They have not. I made several requests to the finance director Jim, for the appropriate person to talk to about the charges by email, voice mail and directly on the phone to no avail. I spoke to Justin, Sales manager 8/17 and was told they will not correct anything. No one communicated with us when they messed up the loan, and no one communicated with us when it seems to have been corrected with my credit union, I received another bill from Capital one today but hope that was sent before the dealership corrected things. We paid more than the vehicle was worth in hopes of building a relationship with a local business for our next vehicle, unfortunately we are left with nothing but an overpriced jeep and bitterness for the treatment we received. In the past we have purchased vehicles at dealerships in Poulsbo and Port Orchard and have never had the experience of surprise extra charges after reviewing the paperwork, nor of having a loan go somewhere else when a specific credit union had our preapproval, our request and their name was on all the paperwork signed. We have never experienced so much difficulty getting answers, or so many ignored calls and requests for communication.
