I have shopped here a few times. It is one of those places you go to, hoping for a lovely time looking through all the fabrics. I brought my friend with me most recently. We had the same experience. Sadly, in a store filled with sweet colors you must be subjected to an owner that is the opposite of sweet. She is openly cold and condescending and in a selective way. I have seen her chat it up with people she knows. Funny it is usually a woman who has a husband present with her, from what I have seen now twice, who gets the reciprocal attention. If she thinks you are not local or not a regular, she will snub you. Even if you are asking for help with a clear intent to buy - she comes off like she thinks she is better than you. And she has been this way for some time as I have read other reviews. My dear friend commented once we got back in our car, that she felt very unwelcome and thought it was due to her being asian. People should realize how much they can hurt others when they fail to be kind. And for a shop owner, showing an open lack of appreciation of a customer - it goes beyond saying "I dont feel like helping you hunt for fabric" it implies "I dont respect the way you look" or "I dont respect your race" or "You look like an outsider, therefore I care nothing about you" or "You arent good enough to shop here". So shop owner, I hope every night after a day treating others badly and sending them home feeling badly about themselves, that as you lay your head down and before you close your eyes, you remember the faces - the sad faces of the innocent people that you sent home that day feeling badly. And that you realize some day you are behaving like a horrible human being and can, and should, do better than that.

I felt extremely unwelcome as soon as I entered. The lady behind the counter looked up at us and after I smiled, she just looked away. Another woman who seemed to also work there got in my mothers way as we were looking at some fabrics and pushed right past my mother without any acknowledgement of her rude behavior. They behaved as though we didnt exist. I could be off base, but I cant help but think that the color of my mother and childrens skin had something to do with it. Or maybe they are just always this rude to potential customers. I will never go back there. And I will never recommend it.

This is my favorite fabric store because it is FULL (cramped is a good thing IMO, but yes, it is cramped) of stylish fabrics. This is not your Nanas fabric store. I feel like the buyers have good taste and there is selection for everyone...but heavy on the more trendy, modern designs and less of the ugly stuff. I have always felt welcome, even when I come in with young children who are cranky and touch everything. I always get helped promptly and they are good at offering advice when I cant decide between two fabrics. I live in Puyallup and drive to Bothell for fabric!

Great selection of homes puns and cottons... If you like traditional fabrics, they have a great selection. I am vendor on Etsy so I go there 3x per year to buy novelty fabrics to incorporate into my wares. I always walk away with a bundle of treasures. I give this shop 5 stars but I will chime in on the other review about the lack of light in a couple of areas of the store. I TOO use my flashlight when shopping in those sections.... Which generally have JUST the fabrics I am looking for. I will continue to cherish this shop.

Loved it. A ton of fabric! Lots of new lines. Great service, friendly staff. Could use a couple more lights in one area - I used the flashlight on my phone to see. But then, my eyes are getting older. :-) Lots of sale bolts, too. If youre looking for a big selection of fabric, this is the place.

Very helpful staff and lots of fabric, but too much fabric for the store size, which makes it really hard to see whats available. Bolts are stacked two and three deep, with other bolts stacked on top of rows. I would have only given it two stars if the staff wasnt so great.

Lots of selection, many different styles and brands represented. Lots of Moda, fig tree, Riley Blake, and Art Gallery Fabrics. Mostly quilting cottons, some oil cloth, great sale selection out front. Displayed quilts are well made and change seasonally. Friendly staff.

I tried to look at some fabric at 9:59 this morning... the lady turned me away and said she doesnt open till 10 even though what I was trying to look at was already displayed outside. Needless to say I will not be spending my money here...

Great selections but too much. Fabric bolts 2-3 deep on the floor. Aisle are narrow-one person wide. Stuff stacked on fabrics. Fun if you are by yourself and love to search thru things to find a treasured piece of fabric.

This place has a very large selection of good quality fabrics compared to any of the chain stores around. Like all the stores in Country Village, it has that cozy country feel that makes it hard to leave.

If there was a minus one I would put it. Very unfriendly.

Great selection of fabric, though a little cramped.
