Pacific Fabrics use to be all about the sewing. Its the complete opposite now. Its all about the money. I decided to stop shopping here due to the fact I do not feel like a respected welcome customer. Never coming back. Some reasons Im not coming back: The fabric selection here may look large but by the time you start actually looking its rather petite. Ive been to other fabric stores that have more options. Their collection is so-so to standard. They use to have a lot more. Employees cut fabric professionally but it wouldnt be the first time Ive been severely shorted and over charged. Make them check the scrap pieces rather than let them try to sell it to you. No refunds once its been sold! Ive given up signing up for classes from this place. I all too often place my self in the wrong skill level due to poor class description. Refunds are not given and only half the knowledge with a frustrated instructor being a little rude. Several times the class instructor(s) have been no shows and Ive received no lesson. In large classes I feel like the left behind student receiving only half the knowledge. Instructors will change class dates occasionally and that does not work to a retail schedule. No refund. I noticed if youre over 40 years of age you get special treatment. Theyll be more apt to acknowledge you and give you the assistance you request. Its almost as if they dont want young seamstresses in their store. Would not recommend this location. When I started shopping here 10 years ago it was amazing. Now its all about the money with half the customer service.

This store has a terrible return policy. Unlike Joann Fabrics, Ben Franklin, Nancys Notions, etc., the store will not allow you to return patterns. The stated reason is concern over copyright, but if that is the reason, what allows their competitors to accept these returns? The policy is noted in fine print at the cash register, but seeing as how Ive never had trouble returning or exchanging a pattern at any other store, I never thought to look or ask for their policy - nor was it offered to me verbally, as is the case in many stores where you buy something on clearance, for example, that is not returnable. Needless to say, I am now stuck with a pattern I have no use for, but I will not be returning to this store.

Im a knitter so I went looking for yarn. For a "craft store" they did have a nice little selection of yarn. I was able to find one skein. They had lots of Noro - but they also had lion brand yarns, which doesnt really gel with what I consider "luxury yarn store" yarn. Its not bad yarn - its just not what you normally see. They had a comfy spot to sit and knit. They also had a ton of fabric. If I sewed I think I would have been in hog heaven. The ladies were also very nice to me. Very busy with the fabric end of things - but very, very nice. And thats important!

I will not be shopping here again. The salesperson I was working with was supposed to call me when she found out whether or not the fabric I needed to complete my quilt was able to be reordered from the manufacturer. 4 + months later, I had to call. The gentleman I spoke with was nice, but when Diane came on the phone, she was snippy and rude. Apparently, the fabric could not be reordered, and she forgot to notify me about it, but somehow tried to blame me. Save yourselves a trip.

I have been looking for a specific sewing foot for my machine, when I tried these guys. While they didnt have what I was looking for (which apparently is a very difficult thing to find). They helped me find a store that might have what I was looking for. They could have just said no, and hung up. I will be shopping here again. Especially after dealing with the rudeness that I have gotten from JoAnns.

Amazing fabrics. The customer service could use some improvement. One lady gave me a hostile glare when I asked her to cut my fabric and never said a kind word to me during the 10 minutes I spent waiting for my fabric, not even thanks. Very odd.

Okay. Good selection of fabrics. On the high to average side of pricing. Return policy is really bad. Staff is nice, but not out of your way to be helpful.
