I was in Seattle while my hubby was attending a conference, so I decided to explore the city to find a great fabric shop. This was it! I took a bus directly from Pioneer Square to District Fabric which was about a 20 minute ride. (super easy) By car/cab it would be less than 10 minutes. Well worth the trip since I was able to purchase yardage unlike anything Ive found at home in So. Cal. I purchased five different cuts to make myself summer shirts and the prices ranged from $6 yard to $18 per yard for my selections. District Fabric has high quality textiles, beautiful colors, and a variety of price points. The owner, Ashley, has impeccable taste, and each bolt of fabric is beautiful. I highly recommend this fabric store!

I visited this shop for the first time last week and had a wonderful experience. They have a nice selection on Indie patterns (including Named) and were very helpful in explaining which fabrics would be best for the pattern I chose. Its a small shop, so while they may not have everything, all the fabrics are carefully curated. All my questions were answered and I walked out of the shop with some gorgeous fabric at a very fair price. This will definitely be my go to store for all of my sewing projects.

I went in yesterday for the first time to buy fabric in a specific color and type. My expectations were low, since I could see it was a small store with seemingly not a huge selection of fabrics. But I was very well taken care of and as through magic, several bolts were pulled out and I found something that will be just perfect. I will be back.

Lots of unique stuff here, and a few nice basics. Good quality fabric at much more reasonable prices than i would expect from a smaller place in the city. Lots of 100% silks, different types of velvets, 54" cotton, linen prints etc. Most between around $5-20 a yard, which is a good deal!
