My experience was very bad. I bought two cars. The first lasted 3000 miles before breaking down. I fixed it enough to drive then drove it another few months. I cant specify the miles because the computer broke (once I pulled the car fax it stated that there was evidence of odometer tampering, something I was never told). During the sales process they repeatedly tout that the car has been looked over and everything is amazing; there is absolutely nothing wrong and if there was it has been fixed. You talk to the shop and they back it up and say the same thing. I was in a hurry, which is my own fault, and didnt have the car looked at by a third party. Since the car was in poor repair, I took it back to trade in. Between repairs, payments and the loss in trade in, I came ~2500 dollars short. My second car was bought just as I had the first. Again, I trusted the salesman, even though I was livid. I couldnt imagine them taking advantage of me twice. I bought a more expensive car, told then all I wanted was the most dependable vehicle they had. Within 3000 miles, I had to replace the transmission. I took it to two shops, both confirming the transmission was bad, and worse yet, had been tampered with. I spent 4500 dollars to replace. Another 1500 dollars has been put in over the past 5-10 thousand miles. When I called the Green Car company, they told me I bought the car as is and that they could replace the transmission for me. By then I couldnt stomach anything they said. Between outright lying and deceiving me, they looked to be trying to further profit from me by also replacing my transmission. My story speaks for itself. This was the first time I had bought from a dealership and I will always get my car checked by a 3rd party if I go this route again. I bear some blame there. If you do buy from these guys, I would at the very least do that. Better yet, I would support a business that is honest and follows good business practices, especially those that stand by their product and accept when they have made a mistake. If not you too could be spending 8500 dollars in repairs on an 11,000 dollar car.

They had my car for three months and told multiple lies about why it was taking so long, originally I was told 2 weeks to get the parts and a day for repairs. At one point they told me the part I needed was stuck in customs and there was nothing they could do about it. Then 2 days later I was informed that the part was actually back ordered and so they had ordered it from somewhere else. They also tried to tell me they had ordered all the parts I needed immediately after receiving the car, when I questioned how they did that when they didnt know what was wrong with my headlight they deflected and tried to make me seem like I didnt know what I was talking about. My car was done for over a week before they finally shipped it back to me, they kept telling me I could come get it myself if it was so important. They would tell me they had a for sure pick up and then email me when they closed saying the truck never pulled up, my smartcar didnt fit (something they should have known before), etc.

We really appreciate the work that Chad and his crew at Monroe Foreign Auto Repair did with our car. We had put off basic maintenance because wed been looking for a good diesel mechanic for my VW TDI for awhile. When my timing belt went last month my car sat for a week at the Green Car Company and they still hadnt even looked at it. This left me scrambling to get to work and when we let them know we needed our car repaired in a timely manner they were rude to us and told us it was in the way in their yard. I had Chad tow the car to his shop (which was free) and he had it in the shop that very day, and back to me very quickly - even with major engine repair necessary. We would definitely recommend his shop and not the Green Car Company - for any kind of vehicle! Also, we will be in the market for a second TDI in the next 6 months and guess where we are not going to go? Thats right, the Green Car Company...

I bought a 2002 tdi wagon and it is awesome. I have found these folks to be honest and ethical. I bought my car without it being inspected (needed it asap) and when I brought it back to have some small things repaired they put in a new clutch free of charge because it needed one! They are super knowledgeable about these TDIs. Car also had new timing belt, fuel injectors, brakes, etc. put in and these are the things that add up-so I was really glad they did this before I bought the car. Anyway, super positive experience and I will be going back to them for all maintenance even though they are located a bit farther from me than I would like. According to their web site they also stand behind all repairs for 12 months-very cool.

I cant believe people are so harsh these days about reviews, do not listen to other reviewers. If you had a poor experience in this business, its because you didnt get to do business with Blair McIntosh, the nicest dealer, and the most experienced dealer ive ever met. When we went in, he offered us water, he provided excellent hospitality, he was honest, and, he offered an exceptional warrantee plan. This guy really knows how to sell cars, if you ever want to buy a volkswagen diesel, there is literally no better place than Green Car of Bellevue.

I called about a car which was sold. Someone said "oh, we just took another one in". I asked if they would e-mail me the features and specs on the car, I sent three or four e-mails and called twice. Never recieved an e-mail, when I called the first time the salesman was busy and the other time no one answered. Will not buy a car from them if they dont want to sell a car. I drove all the way to Portland to buy a car because the company that had a car I wanted did not even answer an e-mail or the phone.

I wont go into details, but theyre dishonest folks. The car I bought ended up having many problems that my mechanic said were clearly covered up...I made the purchase in haste and without an inspection unfortunately. I also met someone much later who had worked for Green Car Company (but no longer does because he quit) and confirmed what my mechanic suspected. In the end, I wouldnt say to never buy a car from them, just know what youre getting into. They are dishonest, so get an inspection.

I have been doing business with The Green Car Company for over ten years and have bought multiple vehicles from them. I recently bought both a Jetta TDI Sportwagen and a VW Touarage, and both vehicles were in excellent condition. The sales staff, mechanics, and owners are all very knowledgable and helpful. We will go back again and highly recommend to all our friends and neighbors.

Drove almost 3 hours to purchase a car from here, had family come a couple hours from the opposite direction to help me purchase a car during their listed business hours and they were closed...at 1! They had it written on a paper taped to the door. But neither the website nor their voice mail when you called said they would be closed! Pretty frustrated.
