Tim G., Washington, DC – 2015 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited October 2015 I began my search for a JK Unlimited several months ago. I started off with used JKs, researching dozens and test-driving a few. Concerned with backyard installations, voided warranties and potential abuse, I shifted my focus to new jeeps. I made several trips to various new dealers near the Washington, DC area but quickly became frustrated with deceptive marketing and pricing gimmicks as well as unknowledgeable salesmen with scripted approaches. I nearly gave up when I came across Wells Auto Sales’ website offering custom pre-owned Jeep Wranglers. Admittedly, I was skeptical at first but decided to give Mike a call and I am glad I did. After a brief yet pleasant conversation with Mike about his inventory and my needs, I decided to stop by his showroom to see his jeeps first-hand. I say showroom, because that is exactly what I found. The place was flawless both inside and out and each jeep was immaculately detailed and meticulously protected under the showroom’s roof. As I crawled in, out and underneath his jeeps, it became apparent to me that Mike pays attention to the smallest of details. Each jeep is lifted with the same lift, which Mike has perfected over the course of countless installs over the past few years. He marks each bolt in its proper position so that any deviation can be detected and corrected. Who else does this? Moreover, Mike was very patient and polite and he answered every question with expert prose. Throughout my interaction with Mike, I never once felt pressured nor did I experience any awkward approach. Mike simply answered my questions and allowed me to inspect his inventory without interruption. His staff was more than accommodating and I felt right at home. I left his showroom that day adequately armed with the information I needed to make an informed purchasing decision. I spent the next week comparing Mike’s prices and options with those across three states. I looked for ways to install the same aftermarket options for less on both new and used jeeps with similar factory options and mileage. I priced out every scenario. Short of installing the options myself, I was unable to find anyone that could meet, let alone beat, Mike’s prices. Likewise, I knew there was no way I could install everything myself to the perfection that Mike does given his proven experience. Mike buys in bulk, has personal relationships with each vendor and has a team of employees and staff that remains loyal to Mike and his meticulous work ethic. Bottom Line - I simply cannot not say enough good things about Mike, his team and his jeeps. I am completely satisfied with my purchase, the experience and the follow-up since. Mike is truly a professional and a genuine jeep enthusiast. I recommend Mike to anyone who is looking for a meticulously built aftermarket jeep at a great price and an informative, transparent and no-pressure sales approach. I’ve logged the first 1,000 miles on my 2015 Rubicon Unlimited and absolutely have no complaints or reservations.

I purchased a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double Cab 4x4 Limited (Beautiful truck!) from Wells Autos and was absolutely thrilled with the whole transaction! Id been looking for this exact truck all over the US for over 6 months and finally found it for a great price at Wells Auto Sales in Virginia (Im in Utah). I contacted them and they went above and beyond in telling me about the truck (because I was in Utah and couldnt just drive on over to see it), sent me extra pictures to help me get a better picture of its condition (it was gorgeous!), and worked with me every step of the way to purchase the vehicle. Once purchased, I flew out to DC and they arranged a ride to pick me up at the airport and bring me to the dealership. I got there and my baby (ahem...I mean my truck) was there waiting for me, all washed, cleaned, prepped, and ready to drive it all the way back to Utah. Theyd even changed the oil in it & rotated & balanced the tires for me for its long drive back home to Utah (in the middle of winter even!) Mike was AWESOME to deal with! (his dog was cool too!) A Note On The Truck. I dont know where they buy their cars from, but oh my gosh! What an amazing truck! While it had 23,000 miles on it, you wouldnt have known it. It looked, smelled, drove, and felt like it was brand spanking new! Not a scratch, not a dent, not a door ding, nothing on it looked used! Even the leather looked brand spanking new! It even SMELLED new inside! Everything back in Utah that I drove either had door dings, dents, paint scratches, or really worn interiors on them. This one on the other hand looked like it had just been driven out of Toyotas showroom! It really was THAT NICE! A note on the dealership experience: Wow! After having dealt with my share of car [stealer]ships, Wells Auto was a pleasant surprise. Never any pressure, never any "well, ya gotta buy it today or else" hype, none of that. Just a pleasant experience from start to finish. Carfaxes? Yep! You bet! History on where they bought the car? Yep. Mike told me everything he knew about it and even where he bought it from. I loved it! Ive now had the truck for a few years and still absolutely love it! I even keep their license plate surround on the rear plate & love bragging about how cool it was to buy it from them! If youre looking for a great vehicle at a great price from an awesome dealer, you owe it to yourself to look these guys up & see if they have what youre looking for. Even if youre clear across the country (I was!) I still love the truck, love the price I paid, and love bragging about the whole experience. Great, great place! Just purchased a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in Granite Crystal Metallic from Mike Wells at Wells Auto Sales and it was an unbelievable experience. I had been searching everywhere within 500 miles for a JKU in this color and hoping to find something used with under 45k miles. Then I came across Wells Auto Sales (while searching on Autotrader). This was a dream. They buy slightly used JKUs, then install a 3.5" lift with 18 or 20" wheels and 35" Nitto Trail Grappler tires and they also have a number of other aftermarket parts that can be optionally installed as well. This should be a Jeep enthusiasts dream! At first, I came upon a 2014 JKU in GCM with just under 7000 miles. Unfortunately after Mike and I started talking, someone bought it on the spot on the same day. I was upset because this color was impossible to find with such low mileage. Within only a few days, Mike calls me up and he found something even better. A fully loaded GCM JKU Sahara with under 3000 miles!!! I put my deposit down and he got to work. In just a couple of days, they brought the Jeep back to their shop, sent it out to get the lift, mounted the wheels/tires, tinted the front windows (to match the rear windows), installed the chip software to calibrate the speedo, and I even had them install a rear backup camera. I flew down to Warrenton, VA, we took the Jeep out for a test drive, he even filled the gas on his dime AND reimbursed me for my cab ride from Washington-Dulles Airport to his shop! It doesnt get better than that. After only 15-20 minutes, all of the paperwork was done and I was on my way home. Mike cares about his customers. I know he is extremely busy because he is the only one doing sales but he treated me like I was his top priority. His response time was amazing and he isnt just limited to phone calls. I was able to email him, text him and call him. Buying at Wells Auto Sales was a great experience because you get to work with Mike Wells himself. At any other dealership it could be a hit or miss with multiple sales guys and most of the time those sales guys dont even know the cars that they are selling inside-out. Mike is extremely knowledgable with Jeeps and was able to answer all of my questions...and I had a lot. I would email and text him with questions all day long and his response time was quick and he was always friendly and accomodating. Ive never worked with anyone like that on a car purchase. You need to buy your Jeep from Mike. You will thank me later.
