Let me tell you. As an avid fan of all types and sorts of beer, Total Wine is the "Total Package"!! Now, Im not saying that they carry every beer ever brewed in the history of the world in the store, but I defy you to find a better selection in the greater Tidewater Virginia area (Im speaking directly about the Va Beach store..nice try Greenbriar Pkwy store!!). So, heres my story: Id purchased a growler of beer from them (among other purchases that day), refrigerated it and decided to have a glass with a friend one afternoon two days later....WHATS THIS? FLAT BEER!!!??? Being upset, and after conferring with my friend who agreed with my assessment of FLAT BEER!! I proceeded to dump the nectar in our glasses as well as that remaining in the 64oz bottle into the yard!!! I called Total Wine to complain that the beer was flat and all I got was "Bring it back in and we will make it right"!!!! Whats this?? Honestly?? CUSTOMER SERVICE??? Surely there was a catch? So I asked Kathy (the manager) "So, all I need do is bring back an empty growler and you will in turn provide me with a new one???" She replied "Absolutely". I was in shock!! I believe I just experienced honest to God customer service in this day and age. I believe I will go out to the garage, pour myself an IPA maybe ask a friend if "Customer Service" was what I received...its been so long that Im not sure I can identify it without help!!! Thanks Total Wine (in general) and Kathy (in particular). You have a customer for life!!!

A church for beer and wine lovers. Could this place get any better? Thousands of selections of beer and wine to keep anyone happy. Make your own 6 pack is an excellent idea. pure brilliance. Ive been here about 10 times now, and I never run out of new beers to try. They also have a ton of specialty glasses for the real beer enthusiasts. Would go here again and again.

Always willing to help you find what youre looking for. They will order nearly anything from you, all you have to do is ask. Sometimes they offer free samples when you show photo ID. The cigar room is neither the biggest or the smallest Ive seen and it smells really nice in there.

In this case too much of a good thing is not bad. It would take a long time to fully appreciate all that this store has to offer. This is not the quick beer run location - although it can be - I spend too much time in here every time I go.

Plenty of beers but the wine selection is average at best and the cheese selection is horrendous. A place that big shouldnt have just a mini sized fridge devoted to cheese, it should have at least a quarter of an aisle devoted

Its insanely ridiculous and idiotic that I was asked for an ID to buy a gift card, and then since I didnt have it they wouldnt allow me to buy it. If anyone can make sense of that, let me know.
