I really like this gun store, however today I attempted to sell my Yugoslavian M98/48 (a Yugoslav rifle made from refurbished German Kar98ks) and ended up leaving very frustrated. After dealing with several employees over the validity of the rife (which I must admit, considering that the factory scrubs most all German marking makes this quite exhausting) I was approached by an employee who rudely laughed in my face and told me that it was a "Turkish Mauser 98" even though there are no markings, whatsoever, that support this claim. I even pointed out the importer mark, which under fed law (GCA 1968) must have the country of origin(IE Country in which it was originally manufactured), in this case Germany, stamped with importer info. I was then informed that 1:) The importer info was wrong 2:) Germany was the country it was imported from 3:) PW Arms, the importer, only imports Turkish rifles, and when challenged on this based on Mosins, which are obviously Russian, having PW Arms import marks 4:) "Well I just looked up the serial number and it says Turkish so its Turkish". After denying the price they offered, I told them I was no longer interested in selling, and was told to come back tuesday, so their expert can "school me" on the rifles. Just to be clear my business with this store will continue, but these "experts" are either ignorant of these rifles, or are taking advantage of potential sellers, an absolute shame.

I stopped buying guns there and may pick up some hard to find ammo or accessories from time to time.I stopped buying guns there because they dont seem to value long standing customers who have spent thousands with them. I bought 5 guns from them and when it came time to sweeten a deal on a DPMS 308, they wouldnt work with me, not even $100. I was like whooooa really? Ive spent $8000 with you guys and I cant get a discount on a rifle thats almost $2000? The salesman reply was that they have customers who spend close to $100,000 a year on stuff, so what was I saying? I said fine and started using another shop as an FFL and started ordering my rifles online. That rifle is still there on display looking stupid because no one wants that model rifle anymore. I just hate living in military towns because businesses such as these know it will always have a steady flow of customers no matter what so they take you for granted. Its got this "HUrry up and buy!" feeling that I dont like. I feel sorry for any of these gun shops if someone decides to build a store like Parallax Tactical in San Diego or Stoddards in Atlanta, where they take customer service to another level and appreciate your business.

Horrible. I have been to this place four times just for the range and rental. Was planning to purchase my first gun here but it all changed today. It was near closing and I was asked to sweep the brass. I was never asked to do that here but his tone made me refuse. If he asked nicely I would have done it but He was telling to do that in an unprofessional manner. It didnt stop there he started to get angry and started instigating and calling me names and used profanity. He also said that I am banned from this place and told me to go to Colonial. Then he started to type on his computer despite me telling him to give me my ID because I wanted to leave at this point. He finally threw my ID on the floor....that is simply unacceptable of a place I thought was worthy of my business....I dont get this kind of treatment anywhere so I was wondering what went wrong here. I dont think refusing to sweep is that big of deal. I sure hope it is not because of my middle eastern name.....

I have been a satisfied customer since 2004 until today. Two weeks ago today I purchased a Baretta .380 85FS. When I got clhome I noticed that the slide did not lock open. I wasnt concerned because the owners manual only indicated that it would remain open after the last round was fired. So yesterday I finally went to the range and surprise, surprise it still does not remain open. This creates a dangerous situation as you will never know if the gun is fully discharged. So today I returned to Superior to discuss this situation. They have another Beretta 85FS and lo and behold it locks open. Their solution to my problem was to give me a business card to a local gunsmith. He also pointed out that the receipt states "no returns after 10 days" and Im at 14 days. So, its my gun and my problem. The gun may be unsafe but its your problem now. Have a nice day and "fu-- off"

I have to admit I had a good experience. I will also say that the salesman who helped me was very patient and knew his way around the store and where everything was. I was also pleased that he did not try to act like he knew anything more than he did. Unlike other a few salesman there trying to sell guns in which they had no clue about the weapon system. For example one salesman was trying to sell a guy the legion p229 and the legion p226 but had no clue what was different about the the two weapons in relation to the other sigs and what makes the gun so expensive. Instead he just noted the obivious but couldnt explain the changes or the why behind it. I wanted to step in and actually show the differences but instead just waited for the buyer to move on so I get the legion Sig I wanted. Was a great Prince. Though I did notice some weapons were way overpriced.

Just visited this shop for the first time today and found that the place was well stocked on firearms, ammunition and accessories. Staff was quick to respond but tended to hover. The one thing that really bothered me however was that most everything was marked at MSRP or over 10% above MSRP on most items, and completely overpriced on some others. In one case, they had a PTR-91 on the wall which was marked for $1700, which is $800 over retail. When asking a rep about the disparity, I was told flat out to buy it somewhere else if I didnt like the price. Given the options available in the area to buy, or to FFL in something from online, I was taken aback by these prices, especially since Academy is across the street.

I just went there for a gun class. The class was very informative, and helped me learn about gun safety. I did make a purchase on a Blackhawk holster, and they staff even helped me assemble it (I dont usually carry around screw drivers). The instructors offer more classes, and I am considering taking more classes. My pricing experience is as follows: Class prices are cheap. Holster and magazine loader were at market price. Ammo is cheap. I definitely recommend the pistol safety class. The instructors know the subject really well and are NRA instructors. You can take a class any Saturday at 3PM, but get there early. The only bad thing was the line to sign up, but thats expected for a walk in class.

Most amount of firearms and ammunition you will find anywhere between Va Beach and Chesapeake. However several of the employees including the short blond manager are extremely rude and act like total pukes. This store im sad to say was the first place i ever shot a firearm at the age of 15. This extremely sentimental memory kept me giving them chance after chance. This continued until i discovered DoA Arms located at 977 Reon Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 which has the best customer service out of any gun store anywhere in the 7 cities and ive been to just about all of them at least twice
