The nightmarish " high pressure" sales tactics employed in the past made me a totally hesitant partner in ever stepping foot in ANY car lot ever again. On Sat May 6 I reluctantly accompanied my husband Dan to confirm the "true " color of the Toyota Tacoma we were building online. Our 06 was wonderful but his dream was to have a larger one that could more easily transport our 2 dogs for traveling. We were greeted by Jaclyn Campbell who, to my total amazement, was able to break down every preconceived notion of what a car buying experience should be. We did not just "glance", we were able to fully relax, be ourselves, and explain to her what we needed not only in that Tacoma, but we also found a Corolla right there on the show room floor that was several thousand dollars less than a Honda my husband was going to buy for long work commutes. I was able to see every color Tacoma on the lot only to settle on the Tacoma that sat right beside the Corolla! Through the entire process Jaclyn was the epitome of grace. She handled all of our questions and concerns not like the typical salesperson of long ago,--but more like should I say a like GREAT friend; someone who WANTS you to be TRULY HAPPY and ENJOY LIFE. Jaclyn is a BLESSING ! :) P.S. Even her coworkers were great. I saw amazing teamwork displayed.My heartfelt thanks go out to Michael and the many others,-including her amazing Boss, Sandra! What else can I say ,--JUST GO. VISIT. You will be amazed at their no hassle", "no haggle ", and "no pressure" approach to selling vehicles. We stopped by to look at at paint colors. That was it. We ended up buying two side by side showroom vehicles that ended up costing a whole lot less than we could ever imagine. Go. You just may be just as amazed as us at what they can do for you! P.P.S. Jaclyn, Sandra,-- I am NOT a writer. It takes TIME for me to write. I have to tell both of you strong, smart, and encouraging women that in my eyes I see you as "SUPER WOMEN". I wish you a heart felt "Happy Mothers Day!!! You, Jacklyn, for being such a wonderful mom to your beautiful children and to you Sandra for being such a an amazing mom to your beautiful little dog and for giving your kitty the gift of life!!!! ;)

Car buying is always a stressful experience for me and I often fear the process. Not this time! We were really doing our research this time and wanted to just "check it out." Jay Sawyer showed us the car, took us on a test drive and showed us the price. He was thorough but never pushy! We loved it but the price was something we needed to "work out" as we needed another vehicle and we didnt want to do that at the dealer to avoid a regretful decision. He shook our hand, provided his card after going over the way they did business (no commission, oil changes for life, etc.). Never once did he give us the ole "lets go inside and talk about it (AKA haggle)." I left and felt at peace- he didnt have my number to harass me, no emails daily, nothing. I was so pleased- we contacted him to ask him to keep an eye out for a car for my husband. Well fast forward, we returned and drove away with two new cars and AMAZING service from the entire Checkered Flag team but Jay was an absolute pleasure to work with. Did everything he said he would and didnt make unrealistic promises. We love our Highlander and Camry!! This is a first class dealership!!!

Christina Woodard was the best. She was so professional and instrumental helping myself and husband Mike in picking the right Toyota for us. She did not pressure us, but was so knowledgeable and directed us in the right way without being overbearing. I think if we didnt have her as our sales representative we would of not purchased a car that day. We were very indecisive. The last time we purchased a new vehicle was 2002.. The whole experience at Checker flag was awesome. She let us test drive different cars to really feel the one we wanted and based on our needs we purchased the perfect car, color and interior. It was a long day at toyota because we tested drive a lot of cars. But we love the car we chose. Christina is the best, she is a great asset to your dealership and we were really fortunate having her on our team. We know that next time we are in the market to purchase a new car it will be with Checkered Flag thanks to Christina Woodard. She doesnt lead you wrong, she is the BEST......... Mike and Mary U.

This was by far the most comfortable buying experience we have ever had. The staff was very friendly as you entered the showroom without being aggressive. The unbelievably low prices were clearly posted on every vehicle. The most noteworthy part of our experience was Daniel Dalton. He was extremely knowledgeable of the entire Toyota line. He was very forthright in offering the pros and cons of the different vehicles and options. We were amazed at his detail of knowledge. He made us feel very comfortable with his low key approach with no pressure at all. He immediately made us feel that he was our advocate in the buying process, not as if he were coming from across the desk, as is so common in many dealerships. The Toyota line has every vehicle for every need. Checkered Flag is by far the best dealership in Hampton Roads. There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere else.

When I walked on the lot I really had no idea what I wanted to do. While I was out there Mr. Marc Baker was out there however, he was assisting another couple. But, that didnt stop him from coming over and introducing himself to me. This I found very thoughtful so I decided to stay. He said he didnt want to be rude and not introduce himself, and that hed find me someone else since he was already helping someone else. Not really sure as to what happened with that couple, but Mr. Marc came back and let me know he was free to work with me and kindly introduced himself again. After which our work began and he made my car buying experience a true treat and pleasure. He made it fun, stress free and exciting and for that Im grateful. Its because of him that I plan on staying with Checkered Flag. People like that are very rare to come by nowadays.

I just purchased a vehicle from checkered flag Toyota and the car is not why I give this a 5 star rating. The customer service we received from the salesman TONY WALLACE was just incredible as soon as we walked through the doors. His presence and honesty won me and my wife over. He was very upfront about everything and answered any questions we had. He walked and talked with us for almost 5 hours even when my wife was about to change her mind and he informed her that if she was not comfortable to not stress about and that no deal had to be made today. Tony helped us from beginning to end and we appreciate the help we received because these days its a rare commodity. If you decide to search for your next car please search out Mr. Tony Wallace and you will receive the same wonderful treatment that I received as well
