I just had an interaction with an employee named Ben who appeared to be about 20-years-old. Here is the almost exact conversation we had, shortened a bit: Me: The power button stopped working about 30 min ago, and my phone wont turn on now Ben: Well, youre able to get an upgrade, what kind of phone are you looking for? Me: I dont get paid for a week Ben: You can charge up to an additional $400 on your bill Me: Can you just activate this old phone I have? Ben: Youll lose your unlimited data, so why not buy a phone if youre going to next week? Me: Well, last time I had a problem with my Droid 2, which has had many known issues, the lady working here was able to keep my data plan with this old phone until I could get a replacement Ben: I dont think thats possible Me: I just felt uncomfortable when you immediately tried to sell be something before even looking at my phone Ben: What the hell am I supposed to do? You dont have insurance. Me: The lady I worked with before was much more accomodating Ben: (in an annoyed voice) What about me isnt accomodating? What specifically do I need to say to be accomodating? Me: Nevermind I once had a wonderful experience at this store with a woman whose name I cannot remember right now. Oh, and I called around, my phone was still under warranty, and Im being refunded. No thanks to Ben. I will buy a new phone at a different Verizon store.

Felt like I couldnt talk to the guy about the issues I was having with my phone and the service. I dont know if the store just had a bad day or anything but overall everybody seemed super quiet and very unapproachable. The only upside the process was quick, but I dont feel like things were resolved the way I needed them to be. Normally I really dont mind going to Verizon with an issue but I felt like I was rushed off and told that I didnt know what I was talking about. Im in the military so I move around a lot and Ive been to numerous stores with the same problem while they work with me to figure the issue out. So when I was referred to this store and the rep told me that more than likely my service issues was caused by the area I was in I said thats not the case because again I move around a lot and it happens everywhere, he brushed the information off and said they cant do anything more. This rep was ready to get me out the store and basically telling me there was nothing more they could do about it other than send me another of the same exact phone which has been done. Ill remember never to visit this Verizon store again.

I actually posted my review last evening and it was removed so I am going to give this another try. Be very careful when shopping at this store. I will not post the sales reps name, but he deceived me by telling me that I would receive a $10 discount for bundling my Fios and Wireless packages together. This was a lie, and when I spoke with the store they said that it is not part of their business nor their responsibility, which is unfortunate since they were the people who sold this discount to me. Verizon is just one of many greedy corporations, but what sets it apart is that it remains unchecked. It gives customers such a runaround that people give up. The fact that it has all of the different businesses - internet, television, phone and wireless makes it an unregulated monopoly and a monster of a company that can apparently do what they want without any negative consequences.

Whenever visiting Verizon in-person you get a really good indicator of exactly how cookie cutter they do business. We checked into an iPad at the door, pretty empty store. We were pawned off to an idle employee after she overheard our request and decided she wanted to take it. She helped us very minimally. The issue was lack of cell service abruptly on a new Pixel XL. Well, she proceeded to do the bare minimal hardware or software troubleshooting. Only doing, what I had already done at home. After, she simply started to order a used replacement without asking us how we would like to proceed. It just always feels very impersonal there .

First, I would like to say my previous experiences in the past four years have been very positive for this location. However, this time was definitely the pits. Staff did not appear to know what promotions Verizon were advertising on national TV, difficulty explaining Verizon plans and I had difficulty understanding going from old plans to new plans. I was set to upgrade my Iphone5 to Iphone 6s, but was told I had to dis- enroll from our single bill (combined FIOS, TV, phones), which was a deal breaker. Maybe Christmas/New Years is a bad time to do business or perhaps Verizon has gotten too big. Maybe David Thoreau was on to something!

We recently switched to Sprint and went in to this Verizon store get our final bill. We had been overcharged for an extra month of data and tablet service. They told me that I could only handle the credit on the 1-800 number over the phone. After getting hung up on, my sales person took over and called for me, until HE got hung up on. Basically he and the manager working went out of their way to fix our situation and get us reimbursed. Best experience I have ever had in a Verizon store, will probably be switching back based on our poor phone service in our area and the respect we were shown in getting our final bill. Ask for Brad.

Every time I have had to deal with these bozos they have screwed something up. They continually tack things on to bills without telling me and setting up plans I never asked for. After I am done with this contract I am finding a new carrier. Verizon is bad but this location has, by far, the worst customer service of any sales store I have visited. From pushy salesmen, who act put out by me wanting to take my time and ask questions before signing into a two year contract, to the "customer service" phone line not being able to connect to the store location, and even hanging up on me, I am so over Verizon its crazy.

Worst place to expect customer service. I was offered a loaner internet by some other close by location. When I went there and asked for it, they denied of any such offer, and kept pushing a sale. When I figured I was at wrong location, they refused to give the address of the other location. When I started leaving, they called the other location and informed them that I cancelled by order and reserved the Card, which are very limited, in somebody elses name. When I went to the other location, I came to know of this hanky-panky business. Too many useless people under one roof.

This is the new worst Verizon store in Richmond. My wife and I went there with two very simple phone issues. One android phone had a failing microphone. The rep that helped us said to reset the phone, and then began to leave to table that she was helping us at. When we asked her to wait to see if that was going to work or not, she said that she "would not stay to babysit us." Ive never experienced such bad customer service in my life. We will never return to this location, and will not be renewing our contracts with Verizon.
