a dissapointing experience... not horrible, but I wont go back for another annual eye exam. I just didnt feel like the examination was thoroughly done and sure enough, after getting my new glasses I still cannot see well enough to navigate well while driving at night. Now Im going to have to call and schedule a 2nd visit. Also, when I went in a week later to pick up the new eye glasses I saw chaos happening! Another customer who was being waited on had something go wrong with her order, and the man (who sells the eye glasses out front of the Dr.s office) was very obviously disheveled and irritated with the situation. He did however address and help me in a timely manner, so kudos to him for the multi tasking. I was still uncomfortable though... when he unlocked a cabinet to get my glasses some papers fell down off of a clipboard, and he just scooped them up in his fist, marched across the hall, and threw them into another room! He told this customer he was not upset with her, but with a fellow coworker. wow. only at Walmart.

Was shocked by how rude assistant manager, Chris Wilmouth, was to me this evening when I asked him a question. Since he was wearing a white shirt and ear piece, I suspected he was one of the managers which is why I asked him for help. After I stood there momentarily stunned by his words and the tone of his voice, I walked away, but then decided to return to ask for his name. Initially he only provided his first name, then didnt look happy when I asked for his last name. He was the opposite of what I have experienced at this location in the past. Its a shame.

The store is always clean and they recently installed more self checkouts. Most of the time things are in stock and it saves you from having to run all the way to Richmond. However if you need help from any of the staff, management included, expect to be treated like you are bothering them. They are not helpful and if you have a question they just shrug and say, I dunno?

Always crowded, frustrating atmosphere. Often do not have the product youre looking for in stock. Aisles are very crowded with objects like stands for batteries and cheap movies. There are never many cash registers open. The owner of the in-store subway is very rude. Staff are sometimes helpful, but in some cases not or rude. Only go if necessary.

Best walmart ever! Bathrooms are pristine! You dont have to go in their bathrooms are worry about catching something like you do in most walmart bathrooms lol. Staff is friendly unlike most walmarts. And in this walmart they are actually very organized and neat. Very impressed. Always my walmart of choice.

By Walmart standards, this is a gem! The store is brand new, clean, and well staffed. Service can vary significantly depending on time of day. Unlike most grocery stores, I recommend going early in the evening. The crowd isnt bad and service has been excellent.

One of the better Walmart stores around the Richmond area. Fairly new and always less crowded than any other Walmart I have been to. We do our Walmart shopping here to avoid the huge crowds that we seem to battle at other locations.

Best Walmart within 100 miles! Good selection of products including items not found at nearby Walmarts or other stores. Clean, easy to navigate, and relatively fast checkout. Service is good (not great); better than most Walmarts.

The Powhatan Walmart surprisingly doesnt suck as much as most Walmarts. Not as big and doesnt have as much selection as some Ive been to but is much cleaner so far. Im really glad they dont sell fish. Not a good place to buy produce.

poor ,expensive meat section. poor customer service at checkouts, they act bothered that I stopped in and they had to move. smokers by the dozens out front of the store. too many vendors out front.etc,etc,etc,etc!!!

Friendly staff, opened 24hrs, have never seen this store disorganized and is always clean(including bathroom). The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 is their merchandise isnt as broad as some of surrounding stores

LOVE that we can shop here and find just about anything we need at a good price. Friendliest staff Ive ever experienced at a Walmart. And the fact we can get in/out in a matter of minutes is a HUGE plus.

Good overall but make sure to check the sell buy dates on lunch meat, hot dogs, etc. These items are sometimes past their sell buy dates or more frequently only days away from it.
