Worst company ever. I will never, ever, purchase from Value City Furniture again. I bought the extended warranty for a recliner I purchased from them back in 2012, thinking that if anything went wrong - I at least had 3 years of extra protection. Boy, was I ever wrong. After the recliner started falling apart after about 6 months of use, I quickly called VCF for assistance to get it repaired/replaced. Little did I know that when they picked up the recliner for repair/replacement that it would be the last time I would ever see it again. Nine months later, they were still telling me that it was on its way from a warehouse. After much struggle to get anyone at VCF Midlothian/Broad Street to understand the situation, and a number of representatives failing to follow-up after assuring me that they would, it became clear that this was a terrible company to do business with. After getting completely fed up with being mislead that someone was going to help resolve this issue, I requested a full refund. They offered me a "partial credit", but this was not acceptable seeing that a partial credit was only a small amount of the $450 I spent on the recliner, including extended warranty. At this point, I no longer wanted a recliner or any other product from this establishment. I continued to call, and they continued to tell me they would follow-up. Ultimately, the representatives ended up telling me that they had no idea where my recliner was. Well, here we are in 2015 - and Im still trying to get my refund. Im being told that they will look into it, but now they are saying that their records say that I have the recliner - so they need to follow-up with the warehouse manager. UNBELIEVABLE! Ive been patient, Ive been calm, Ive been collected. Ive been more than these things. I am a frustrated ex-customer who just wants my money back. One thing is for certain, a refund for one customer would cost far less than the amount of financial turmoil this experience will cost them if I have anything to do with it - most savvy businesses know this, and choose to take care of their customers. VCF is not one of them. I will contact the corporate office, and the Better Business Bureau until this is resolved in a satisfactory manner. I absolutely do not recommend purchasing anything from this company unless you want a product that will likely not last, terrible customer service, or a combination of the two.

Value City as a whole..... Horrible experience as I spent hours picking out the perfect living room set and the right coffe tables and end tables.. bought and paid for all items.. requested a pickup date three weeks from the date of purchase.. all good until this point. Went back a week before pick up to add more items.. sat another few hours picking more accent pieces... went to pay and add to ticket when they told me the sofa set i purchased weeks before was now discontinued and they sold the last love seat... now I was really confused on how this could happen. So they explained it as even though you bought it, you didnt have a scheduled pick up until three weeks later so if some one buys it after you but wants it tomorrow then they sell it and you are just out of luck. Now they did refund my money however, I spent way to much time there picking out everything not knowing this could be possible. I have shopped with value city for years... this was by far the worst experience ever. Glad i stopped by to buy more stuff or i would have been highly upset on pickup day.

I give this store 5 stars because of the store manager Carmen Coleman! ....I actually purchased furniture from the Broad St Road store..I will never purchase there again! Today will make the third time that the delivery team has been out to deliver my furniture that has been all mixed up since March 1st.. I actually had to call the midlothian store to speak with Ms. Coleman in order to get this delivery mixup-confusion rectified! Every time I called she made the proper calls and got righy back with me.. If it wasnt for her I would probably had to have made a physical trip back to the Broad Street store in order to get any clarity because I couldnt get through to anyone there..I was continually hung up on, etc...it was absolutely unreal! Value City prices are decent and if you want to make a purchase go to this store the Midlothian location!!! Trust me! I cannot stress this enough! Carmen Coleman and her team will take care of you! She did it for me and I wasnt even her customer!! Thanks Carmen

After trying for a year to get my mattress replaced,I finally got in touch with the company who makes the mattress & told them about my 3 attempts to no avail. No help from store personal who kept asking others how to go about getting a replacement mattress. Was told to pull the card off of the mattress & call one of the many numbers on the card..Still waiting to hear from someone from the company.I have a ten year warranty on the mattress set..what is the problem?NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER! After receiving damaged furniture & given the run around & being brought the wrong furniture & calling them so many times for the same thing,I finally was delivered the right piece in better shape. Not good quality furniture. The wood is rough & all the stain looks like a child finger painted it on there. They tried to touch it up but it is not real wood it appears be something else. You cant use furniture polish on it because it doesnt soak in or polish off..UGH,disgusted!$$$$

First, my salesperson, Shannon was right there ready, very willing and more than capable of great personal customer service, which since I was a child of 5 or 6; going everywhere with my mother & father when they would go to make purchases anywhere from groceries to furniture which only came from the well known quality store, Havertys. I remember that every piece of living room furniture, bedrooms, of which mine from as far back as I can remember was a solid cherry four-poster double bed, with a dresser with 3 smaller drawers across top then 2 or 3 long & very deep drawers below the top row, and of course a large mirror attached. There was also a chest of drawers with 6 long and deep drawers and of course 2 night stands with one drawer and shelf at bottom. What I can remember most about every trip to Harverts

Im almost impressed at how quickly this location was able to lose my business. I politely reached out to discuss the purchase of a new couch and simply inquired about any pricing discounts that they may offer. Antonio, the sales manager, managed to lose my business almost instantly. Not only was he unwilling to offer any pricing discounts, but the manner in which he rejected the idea and myself in general definitely cost them my business and the purchase of at least $1500 in products. -Mason

Visited the midlothian location in search of a fire place. They have a variety of furniture. In all colors shapes and designs. The sales people were very friendly and knowledgeable. But I must admit every time I turned the corner I felt like one of them was following me and kept asking if we needed anything to let him know. That was kinda weird. But I definitely will be returning for my future furniture needs. They also have nice items on clearance.
