Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after eating at a local restaurant. Ordered a no-whip mocha and a chai tea latte. Stood there for 20 minutes while I watched the two baristas be friendly but incompetent...harsh word, but not really any other that fits. They print a copy of the order and put it on the top of the espresso machine, but they still had people coming up asking where their drinks were, and turns out they hadnt been started. I watched them make an iced coffee three times because they kept getting it wrong. Then someone asked "what drink is that on the bar...is that mine?" and neither barista remembered making it, so had no idea what it was...they guessed, the customer tasted it, and it was the wrong drink. Why not write the particulars on the cup, like they do at Starbucks? That way the drinks are in order, theres no doubt about what is in the cup, and theres at least some element of organization to the process. The third person behind the bar was doing the re-stocking, etc. - hair over ears and collar, no net or cap, which seemed odd. Anyway, after waiting 20 minutes, being asked 3 times what Id ordered, and seeing others coming in (that ordered before me) asking about their drinks, I just left. Probably wont be re-visiting unless I hear that theyve gotten their act together.

Ive been here a few times, and ordered the same espresso based drink. Unfortunately, the product is widely inconsistent, ranging from drinkable to tasting like Im sipping on ashes. They have the means to make a better cup, and Im hoping they can dial it in soon. (See update below) The only non-dairy option they have is almond milk, and they charge a ridiculous .75 cents on top of the price for the drink. Environment is why Im giving it any stars at all. Its a beautiful, wide open space great for large groups or work space. The warm, industrial atmosphere is something hard to find in the area. The passion the owners have is apparent in the overall vibe of the place, just not in their coffee. Update 06/12/17: After a few months of not ordering anything from this shop, I decided to give them another chance. I am disappointed to say that 11 months later they still have horrible espresso. I tried to drink the plain almond milk latte I ordered, but had to exchange it for something that I could actually stomach. They were nice enough to exchange it for cold brew, but this should not still be an issue after a year of being in business.

Let me start by saying that this shop is incredibly well done and is a great addition to Old Town. The atmosphere and attention to detail in decorating is apparent. My husband and I visit regularly for a hot drink after dinner in town. I love espresso based drinks and, unfortunately, I have yet to receive one here that was of high quality. Im not sure if it is the type of bean or if there needs to be more training, but I am always hopeful each time and each time we end up being disappointed. We also received warm drinks more often than not instead of receiving hot drinks. With that being said, the hot chocolate (when hot) is delicious and if I could drink it every day I would. I try to avoid added sugars (outside of the very ocassional hot chocolate) so I have not tried any of the sweetened lattes/drinks. I also have never had percolated coffee there either. Therefore I cant comment on the quality of those drinks. We will continue to visit Jirani and keep our fingers crossed that the espresso based drinks we enjoy improve in quality.

This place is the best coffee shop Ive ever gone to. Very interesting story of how I got to be in the coffee shop but Ill skip that part. I needed to stay somewhere to wait on a train and the shop wasnt open to the public when I got there, however they didnt hesitate to open the doors, let me have some coffee, food, and relax on their amazing couches instead of the hard bench at the train station. The co-owner is an amazing man with a huge heart, along with every person I met that worked there. The coffee is amazing and the atmosphere of the shop is a cool industrial feel. There is a stage where someone was playing music and a room for conferences and a trade a book type library. If Im ever back in Manassas you will see me at this coffee shop.

I really want to like this shop. The design and atmosphere, like others have stated is spectacular and is a great addition to spirit of old town manassas. I just wish their namesake product, coffee, arched the quality of everything else. Ive tried their americano, iced coffee, and regular drip coffee and they dont taste like quality coffee. Too much water and beans that have gone stale is what I suspect is causing the lack of quality. Ground Central around the block; while this place is a smaller less ritzy shop, makes good coffee and their sandwiches are freaking delicious. I will continue going there instead until Jirani improves their coffee drinks.

I have been here a couple of time and I havent been disappointed. I did only once get coffee that was too sweet, besides that it has been on point for me personally. What I do like is the space its very inviting, comfortable, and your always greeted with a smile. I enjoy learning of their varying activities that are going on. I havent quite made it out to catch one due to my schedule to really rate the evening/event atmosphere. Overall I would recommend this place and maybe suggest for the summer coming up with some creative iced tea drinks! This is Gem in Old town that I like to go to especially when I am doing work!

There are two coffee shops in Old Town. Grounds Central Station and this place. Ive been a loyal customer and Grounds Central since Ive moved to the area. I still think their drinks taste better and their savory food is much better. If youre looking for a much nicer, bigger space for friends or group of people, this is the place to go. Theyve invested in high speed WiFi which is awesome. The furniture and decor is really nice and comfortable. Tons of power outlets everywhere! Basically the places to be if you work from home. They also have live music on the weekends and fun events. Go check them out youll love it.

Came here for the first time less than a week ago, and I was in love. The coffee (The Jarani Junction with a touch of cinnamon) is so smooth and the bourbon cheesecake (Unofficially named the "Dont Judge Me") is amazing. The staff is friendly, and the space is perfect for getting work done or catching up with friends. Space for groups, shared work area, a "take one leave one" library, and art from local artists. This place just pulses with creative and productive energies! Im so glad there is someplace like this in Manassas!

Today there was a private event. The shop was open for public, but I was asked to seat somewhere in the back. 3 of us went and tried to find seats but the fact that we needed to share the table with someone else made me very uncomfortable and I never sat in the back near the restroom. I wanted to leave but I needed to finish what I ordered and outside was too cold to sit. I wonder why the shop is open for public when they can not accommodate customers. Cake was good but it was very small and expensive.
