Was a customer since 2008. As par for retail, employees come and go, as do managers. We have known many employees and managers in the past eight years. Each year, the level of competence drops and customer service suffers. There was recently an issue with an order. The store manager did not handle the situation, the purchase was not complete, and upon stating how upset i was for making the 40 minute drive down, an employee scoffed and turned. I asked for someone to contact at the corporate office and was told to email Lisa. I called the other locations trying to locate Lisa and was given three different places she was. I was able to find the former store manager who was promoted to a "regional regional manager," left a message, and emailed her. We eventually talked and she apologized only for the order issue and not once addressed the behaviour of the employee. Whilst the coffees and teas are great (cannot eat their food due to food allergies but am told its good), the customer service is horrible. We now place orders elsewhere.

Nice casual atmosphere, amazing selection of coffee, teas and related accoutrements that you may not expect; chicory, filters, coffee pot cleaners, etc. oh and a nice selection of "Good things to eat!"; bagels, salads, paninis and more... I enjoyed a nice pour over of the the baristas favourite. Staff was very helpful and kind despite the busy afternoon... Oh & one more thing, I greatly appreciated that coffee can be purchased by the 1/4 lb. if you like; a great way to sample their various blends!

We stopped for coffee and breakfast on our way out of DC and were very pleased. The coffee is excellent (much better than other more recognizable chains), and they had agreat tea selection too. The bagels were good and they make their own flavored cream cheeses. The women behind the counter were some of the most pleasant I have ever encountered. Definitely worth a trip if you want to be reminded that there are still people who take pride in their jobs and bringing a smile to someones face.

Good coffee, decent ambience and not overcrowded by kids. However, Im pretty picky, so I wasnt impressed. The problems? too little seating, no comfy seating by plug-ins for the computer (i.e., they are all tall tables that are not comfortable for very long), they dont have fair trade coffee (no, Im not kidding), its a long drive to get over hear if you live near downtown and they close too early.

Great selection of coffee and overwhelming selections of teas. The staff is friendly, the vibe is less cookie cutter than Starbucks, and less hipster than a boutique coffee shop. The beans you choose can be ground to the particular type of coffee maker you have. They have all kinds of coffee and tea making paraphernalia. Get a free large coffee when you buy a pound of beans!

I give it a 3 for the taste of their drip coffee and a 5 for everything else. Staff is nice. Great place during the day to sit and read or work. Decent WIFI connection too. Coffee is bitter tasting to me. I tried it a couple times. Not impressed. I hate to say this but I prefer Starbucks drip coffee over theirs. Ill try a bag of coffee next and see if it taste fresh.

Love this place! My daughter and I went for Lunch and I was amazed at the variety of sandwiches they had - especially their gluten free choices. the prices of their teas and coffees were great! Much lower than the prices in local discount stores. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the food was outstanding!

Most excellent coffee and staff. I cant say enough about the staff. Friendly without being imposing. Great place for fresh coffee. They carry a greater variety than the standard super shops. Flavored and special roasts. More choices than any other store that Ive experienced.

The coffee was good, not a big selection (2 decaf, 2 regular and a couple of flavored). They have a big selection of beans and a bunch of miscellaneous coffee related items. The breakfast sandwiches were just OK. The smoked salmon wasnt particularly fresh. Better than Starbucks.

I cant believe people are giving this place 4 stars and saying it sucks at the same time. My wife and I ordered frozen coffees and they gave us a lukewarm thick textured liquid that tasted like dirt. I will pay the extra premium and go to starbucks next time.

Great selection and understanding of what they serve. Good for a quick order to go or to stop and sit awhile. I only wish it were a bit more secluded for quiet purposes, but cant blame them for the location as they stay busy. Worth the stop.

Very nice coffee place. Very friendly staff. A much more comfortable place than the Starbucks down the road, which is far too small. A bit odd, this place doesnt open until 9 AM on Sunday. Many people, me, want their coffee before 9AM.

Stopped in today for a sandwich and coffee. The Eastern Shore Chicken salad is to die for ! Love the cranberries and walnuts. Also had a cup of Sumatra coffee, which was delicious. Very nice staff.

Such a cute place and the staff is so fun and cute! Got to try some of the coffees before we decided. They have a nice food and drink menu as well as carry out coffee and teas to make at home!

Like David said, three stars on the coffee and 5 on everything else. Great place to meet and sit or read. No evening hours. Very good staff and good tea selection.

Good food. All the coffee, regardless of roast or flavoring, has a very similar flavor that is distinct to this brand of coffee.
