I made an appointment for 2/11 because of a sale they were running. I had already decided that any bridal gown was out of my price range. I was gong with a bridesmaids dress in white. I showed my consultant, Loren, pictures of what I liked, both the two bridals and several BM. She pulled everything I wanted, and more based on what I had shown her. I ended up trying on the bridal I really wanted (but couldnt afford) and did not like it at all. So, I was no longer sad about that dress. The BM I really liked, I hated in person. Loren ended up putting me in a BM that was very similar to the other bridal I liked. It was perfect! She showed me several sashes to "bling" it up and make it look more bridal. We discussed altering the neckline into a sweetheart, to add more curves. She put several veils on so I could see the whole effect. With the sale that was going on, I bought my wedding dress for less than $150! It will be additional once I add a sash, but I did not feel pressured to make that decision that day. I really want the ribbon on the sash to be in the color of the wedding and AA does not offer that. I want to specifically say that Loren and the other consultant working (we were the only ones in the salon) never made me feel bad or put down because I could not afford a bridal gown that was hundreds of dollars, much less thousands. They did their best to put me in something I was comfortable in, but still made be feel beautiful and like a bride. (Due to health reasons, I am heavier than I have ever been and have some serious body image issues because of it.) This was a completely different experience from Davids Bridal, where the consultant was putting me in dresses outside of the dressing room (yes, standing out in the open in bra and slip), only pulled about five dresses because "thats all we have in your size and price range). I left that appointment almost in tears. DB may be cheap, but thats all they have going for them. I have not picked up the dress (it will be ready in about three months) or dealt with alterations yet, but based on my buying experience, I highly recommend this location.

DO NOT BUY YOUR DRESS FROM ALFRED ANGELO!! Their customer service is horrible and is not offering me any compensation for the crisis that they have caused me. At this point in time, I have two months until my wedding date and they caused the crisis below. Attention all brides that have purchased their wedding dress through Alfred Angelo and are anticipating on using their alteration services. Alfred Angelo is no longer doing in store alterations. At this point, they are calling the brides and telling them that they are cancelling their alterations appointment that they had in the store. Then, the bride will have to call the seamstress personally to reschedule a new alterations appointment. Also, Alfred Angelo did not contact any of the members of my bridal party because they did not have an alterations appointment scheduled yet. Therefore, my bridesmaids had to personally call Alfred Angelo, receive recommendations of seamstresses and then call the seamstresses in hopes to schedule an appointment. For me personally, I was unable to get an appointment with either of the recommended seamstresses provided by Alfred Angelo and now have to scramble to find a new seamstress 2 months before my wedding, when my alterations appointment had been scheduled for for months in advance! I called customer service to complain, and they said that the only compensation they could do for me was to provide me with the names of seamstresses in the area. I told the lady that I could do that myself, its called "Google". I am completely disgusted with the way they handled this situation. They have created added stress to my last two months before my wedding when there are a lot of other things that are a priority. I hope Alfred Angelo sees this review and understands how I will not ever recommend their company to anyone for dresses.

HORRIBLE customer service! I ended up finding my first wedding gown here, beautiful, ordered it in my size, and everything. First of all I ordered it in August for the follow May, and it took forever to get it, and you as the customer needs to keep track of it or else they forget about it. They doted on how amazing their seamstress was and how she will "get it right the first time." Well, my first fitting back, I could not even zip it up she altered it so little. I explained what I needed, and a second fitting, and a third fitting later she altered it so tight that the fabric ripped when I put it on. I was so disgusted with everything and everyone, I demanded my money back. During this whole ordeal, NOT ONE employee apologized or asked how they could make it a better, I mean they ruined my dress weeks before my wedding. The store manager was extremely rude, unapologetic, and snobby. When I told her the seamstress had ruined my dress, she stated "I dont think so." Also, my mother ordered her dress from them, and they ordered it a size too small, and were reluctant to re-order her the right size without a ton of harassing. I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from them but got them altered elsewhere. To top it off, a rep had the nerve to call me a week away from my wedding date, and state that it looks like my date is coming up soon did I want to make an appointment to pick up my dress. I informed her that, I had found my dress elsewhere, had it altered and fitted perfectly in a week. I would highly recommend checking out other bridal salons in Richmond. My friend got her wedding dress here and the same thing happened with the seamstress. At Alfred Angelo they are very unwilling to help, inexperienced, unprofessional, and if you buy a dress there, get it altered somewhere else!!

I ordered a bridesmaids dress from this store. The initial appointment was chaotic, but I assumed it would be so with 5 girls all trying on the same dress. Our measurements were taken and our dresses were ordered. I purchased a size 6 dress with instructions and advice from the sales associate. When the dress came in it as incredibly too small. Without giving me another option, I was measured by their "seamstress" for alterations, who was 30 minutes late for our appointment. I should mention this, I do not live in the Richmond area, I live an hour and a half away. I came back two weeks later, and the "seamstress" had done nothing to alter the fit of the dress and did a poor job at sewing in straps. She adviced me I could return to the store 2 hours later and the alterations would be done. Again, when I arrived back at the store, she was 15-20 minutes late and the alterations looked horrible and hurried. After a lot of back and forth with the Assistant Manager I was given a refund on my alterations. However, after checking my credit card statement, she CHARGED me the refunded amount and then refunded THAT amount back! Basically resulting in a zero balance, zero refund, zero solution. Im furious! They are incredibly unprofessional, no one seems to have been trained in anything related to customer service, and their liars and cheats. My dress is still not altered to my liking and Ive been incredibly inconvienenced by this entire ordeal! I will never be returning there and will certainly let anyone and everyone know how I was treated.
