Great place to buy comics and if youre looking for a gift for someone into comics or a related field, the employees are super nice and should be able to help out. Ive been going to this shop for several years now. Ive been shopping with this business, or at least the previous incarnation, for over a decade when they were known as Phoenix Comics & Toys. When they first opened in Herndon everyone was super friendly and welcoming. When that store closed I was about half way between this store and the Lansdowne store but I often drove into Sterling so I went to Lansdowne store, at first. That store wasnt as friendly. I stopped going there altogether after I was told, by someone I didnt really recognize, that I HAD to empty my box, even though I had recently gotten back from an extended trip and had told them I wouldnt be able to empty it for a while. I had been patronizing these guys for almost a decade at this point and this did not sit well with me. I cleared out and transferred my box over to this store, the Fairfax location, and the people here have been nothing but cooperative, accepting, and above all friendly. I should really know the employees names by now since it has been several years but Im kind of a failure when it comes to remembering names. It doesnt really matter though because everyone at this store is amazing. As long as Im in the area, this will be my comic shop.

This is a great looking store with a good collection of comics, statues and toys. Unfortunately, we walked in today and were completely ignored. We made it all the way around the store TWICE without so much as a hello from the two people behind the counter. A family came in while we were looking at the statues and they were ignored as well. Its sad that they couldnt be bothered to engage the younger kids. Note - while I like to support local shops, their statue pricing was way above retail.

Laughing Ogre comics has one of the most rounded store selections Ive ever seen. They have a wonderful balance of figurines, single issues, collections, board games and cards. The staff has always been wonderfully helpful. They are very knowledgable about comics. And can help you find whatever you are looking for. They also have a great selections of posters that are in good shape and they update them regularly. I would highly recommend this store.

Hidden in the heart of the University mall, this place is a true oasis for those looking for a great comic store. It offers a wide selection for those looking for graphic novels, manga and the weekly comic fix. Staff are pleasant and knowledgable. From its delightful discovery to the time of tearful partings, this place was a wonderful experience

From Phoenix to Laughing Ogre and now the amazing comic shop, this store is always up to date, friendly, and full of great collectibles. Im always happy the store is family friendly, has knowledgeable staff, and it is easy to set up a box that pulls your favorite titles each week.

If youve got a brand new customer in the store, holding a copy of a new book tying into a big DC event: probably best if you dont, not just spoil, but spell out the whole storyline in detail in discussion with other employees. Saved myself $10 I guess. But wasted my time and gas.

Their service is friendly, prompt, and exceptional. The pull boxes are well managed and the place is impeccably stocked. This store made my first year at GMU all the more wonderful just for existing and being in such close proximity. HIGHLY recommended.
