If I could give a zero star rating I would. Unfortunately Google doesnt give us that option even a negative 5 stars would be fine. We went in to best buy for a desktop so that I could keep up with my work commitments and play games for my leisure. I already knew before hand what specs I needed and what I was looking for. It took 45 minutes for us to get any assistance from a representative. Despite on several different occasions there were 3 to 4 associates talking amongst themselves about other customers and not assisting any of us. I probably shouldve walked out than when I had the chance. So I hope this review saves you time and money since it definitely wasted mine. An older curly red haired lady approached us and started a nice little story - her story to me was that none of the lower level older desktops on sale would be suitable and pointed me towards the 800 - 2000 machines. She kept talking about how fantastic the hard drive was but had no idea what speed the processors were clocking and didnt really understand the simple concept of sound card, motherboard, CPU or Intel. When I asked her to clarify what the specs were she proceeded to talk about the size of the hard drive. Yes ladies in this case - size is not the only thing that counts, speed is equally as important. 2 hours later we are walking out with no desktop, in the rain and a horrible perception of Best Scam, I mean Best Buy as a whole. To the older red haired lady lying associate, rather than helping me locate what I needed and failing miserably at your occupation; I sincerely hope you find a new job or at the very least read Wikipedia and learn about computers. You are the primary reason why people do not enjoy shopping. Needless to say the desktop I was going to buy was in stock at that store and below the price I was expecting to pay - but out of principle I will never shop at a best buy again and urge you to consider another honest merchant that values their customers.

I am giving this only 2 stars because well lets start from the beginning this was my 1st time back to best buy in a few years or so I dont shop for tech a whole lot. Yesterday 5/17/17 I went in to buy a TV the purchase went well till we got to the receipt checker at the door. I wave my receipt for him to see but the man cocks a big attitude about seeing the receipt that is completely fine if you need to actually look at it but I didnt need a attitude before hand. Now what pisses me off is I had a separate employee check me out and scan the box he was right behind me taking it to my car. Heres the thing 1 receipts with purchases dont print them selves & 2 if I had not purchased the TV the door alarms would have went off and there would not be an employee right behind me with my TV!!!! I am guessing the area must be going down hill cause I stopped by the Walmart for something and they have receipt checkers at every door now! Do Not Classify Me As Ghetto Just Because Of The Area I Am Shopping In Rude People!

I called the day before a product release asking if they would have an item in-stock and the gentlemen that answered the phone told me they would, but he didnt know when the merchandise-people would put it out. I asked if they would have a large stock or if it would be limited and his answer was, "I dont know that either." Jesus, Dude! Offer to put me on hold while you find out. The merchandise guys work right there in the store! It takes two seconds to call the warehouse guys on your little radio and ask how many they have... Or look it up on your computer. I used to work for Best Buy and the only justification they have for higher prices is a better customer experience. Poor job, Colonial Heights.

When we went in to buy a washer we had the BEST service, the woman was extremely friendly and helpful which made us feel a lot better about spending the money. Unfortunately the rest of our experience was awful. We were not called about our appointment window, we had to call to find out a time and then they called to tell us they wouldnt make it only 30 minutes before the expected time. We called to reschedule and the manager was very rude and didnt seem to care about the inconvenience. Once again we rescheduled and had to take off work to be at home for the delivery and they cancelled again. We were very disappointed considering how wonderful the service seemed to be the day we bought it.

Today i went in and purchased a instax mini 8 as i was walking through the workers were socializing and not really doing there jobs I couldnt find it anywhere i was hoping a worker would has if i needed any help but they all seem to be lost in conversation with other co workers I eventually found what I was looking for and headed to the front counter as a polite young man by the name of Jose asked how my day was and proceeded with my transaction he kept a smile on his face and seemed as of he was happy to be their and very happy to help me which changed my whole veiw of the store from the time i walked in.

My husband and I went in to buy a computer. The associate that helped us was very nice, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. After talking to him for an hour about one laptop we decided to buy TWO computers from him. Abruptly, he gave us off to another associate and then she informed us that not only were the laptops not in stock, but they were no longer being sold in the stores. We wasted over an hour of time, and were about to spend close to $2200 on computers and accessories. I will never go back to this store because of the horrible headache they made our shopping trip.

Have been disappointed every time I go into the store. Went there to get my wife a camcorder for Mothers Day. Stood in the video area for 25 min no help, watched employees walking around together talking with one another. More associates in store than shoppers. Went into store four months later to get wife a Birthday gift still disappointed. Gave them a chance asked for assistance had to wait, associate in the back called for help finally got help then item was not available. Guess I will shop online as usual.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING! The service was great and the assistance and knowledge of the staff was very Awesome. When I asked a question to one of the employees that didnt know the answer he called over a colleague that knew the answer. The prices are dictated by corporate and the economy, but the courteousness of the staff isnt and I believe that Best Buy has put together a winning team in the Colonial Heights, Virginia Store, keep up the good work team. Way to go Colonial Heights Best Buy!!!

Every time I go in I remember why I dont shop there. Prices are so much higher than any online retailer and they wont price match unless they consider it a competitor. I walked on a deal because I do consider a retailer that can get something to me in a day a competitor. Also wouldnt price match on a color difference on an item. Stood and waited for someone to help me for 15 minutes to get this answer. Just a waste of time. Only go if you need something this minute.
