First of all I had to pick a star I would not have given them anything! I was there yesterday. This really is the worst Wal-Mart ever...hands down absolute worst customer service experience you could imagine. I found everything I needed OK but when it came time to check out what a nightmare! They had a total of 5 (3 more than 20 items/2 less then) registers open with a line at ALL of them. The one i was in, I was 3rd to be up. She started to have computer problems and was looking for help from somebody. After standing in line for 15 mins the person in front of me took his four items off the belt and left after 5 more mins the person behind me with a full cart left it there and left. I look around none of the other lines have gotten better but only worse. I ask a person that works there to get management up front. Finally when a supervisor gets there to fix the register she tells me nothing can be done the is no one else to put on a register. A woman 2 people behind me ending calling from her phone to the store to get management up front and help customers check out. After 25 mins of waiting I pull my cart out of line proceed to customer service where I find a manager by the front door. I excuse my self and she rudely says she is busy! I just wanted to be acknowledged. I interrupted and tell her I will be the 5th person leaving (more probably left then that) because they have limited registers and that I had waited 25 plus mins to be checked out. I have worked 30 years in the customer service industry and have never met with such chaos. It has been my experience that management should step in and do what it takes to get the job done/ satisfy customers !!!

Horrible customer service. They offer check cashing for a small fee but their new check approval system has flagged all of my good checks (4) as being bad. They sell money orders but not the day before most peoples rent is due. There return policy is posted online and it clearly states that they accept returns without a receipt but will only pay you back with store credit. However, they refused my return. After making a purchase at the register I asked the cashier if I could get two $5 bills for a $10 bill. She refused. Apparently, once you give them your money for your purchase they are totally done with you. Keep an eye on the cashiers as they bag your purchases unless you want to get home to find you dont have everything you bought. The "express lane" is 20 items or less. However, the express lane is also the only lane which sells cigarettes so they allow people with any number of items as long as they are purchasing tobacco. Thus, 20 items is more of a guideline than a rule which really takes the "express" out of "express lane." Of course, no one should expect decent customer service at any Walmart. People go there for the low prices not the service. It really is true that you get what you pay for.

Walmarts generic kitty litter is comparatively cheap, so that is the main draw for me, although I do purchase other items while there. Ive been shopping there for about four years and have not encountered a rude or apathetic employee, although Im sure those occasions can exist from time to time. Hey, its a Walmart and you get what you pay for, including workers, so dont go in there expecting 3 stars. I guess given a choice, Id prefer shopping at a larger Walmart like Ruckersville or Waynesboro for selection, but the trade off is they are further away and it takes longer to walk around those super centers. I do wish they would improve the produce section. I dont see why, given Walmarts buying power, fresh produce is so expensive. Rarely is it locally grown and the overall quality could be better. Do us all a favor and stock the aisles with healthier food, less sugar, salt.

Usually has pretty good customer service. Have had a few problems with a couple of ladies who worked return desk a few times and so has my mother. Recently they have been remodeling and the last two times Ive been their in the past 5 days to pick up a couple crates of water to bring home they have had none. Only had the gallon jugs on the shelf. Only want to get the crates with the 16.9 oz waters in them, ended up having to go to Kroger the last two times to pick up water. Would be nice if they would keep some out on the sales floor for shoppers to get. Personally like the Wal-Mart in Ruckersville better since the employees are always way way nicer and have better customer service skills then the one in Charlottesville, plus the one in Ruckersville 90% of the time they keep the shelfs pretty stocked.

I have always shopped at Walmart but this particular Walmart is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. The customer service is the worst. Its hard to find people to help you when you have a question or when you are able to find someone, either they are clueless or they give you the "I dont work in this department." Shopping at target or someone where else is worth spending a little more to get treated with a little more respect. The cashiers are also very slow as well. I tried to file a complaint with the managers for a horrible experience I had with an employee and they bounced me around form department to department and my problem was never solved. I used to be a proud Walmart shopper, now I vow to never shop here again.

When - o - when will the C-ville Walmart management figure out that people who work in customer service actually NEED customer service skills?? After trying to call 12-13 times (busy, never answered, dropped after 30 rings....) during the workday this week, I stopped into get help with a problem. The rep at the desk interrupted me during a brief conversation and said I had to CALL to get the problem solved. When I described the problem with calling......she basically (rudely) indicated that was the only way to get help and had no explanation when asked about the phones problem. This is basic service 101 - explain why there is a problem nicely and a customer will understand.

Very poor customer service. With my daughter one time and was checking out with just an area rug rolled up. Woman by the door watched me check out then as I was leaving blocked my way out of the door till I showed her my receipt. I pointed out all the other customers just walking out the door. She said it is a random receipt check. I told her "I am not a thief" she said "Im not calling you one" "I said then I will be on my way" she blocked the door causing a scene in front of my daughter and all the public till I reluctantly showed her my receipt. This is how you treat your customers Walmart? Shame on you! Plus calling the store or using there website is a nightmare.

Ugh. No one works in their department apparently or they just ignore the phone. I literally could have drove to the Walmart and picked up the phone for them considering the wait time. The staff is horribly ignorant to their own merchandise and their ability to use their computers to check availability (sense their websites arent That customer friendly, though they are 10x better than this store). I was told that what I was looking for hasnt come out yet...but thats only the case if theyve been frozen in time for two years...sigh. Its all kind of funny really but I do insist to save your minutes and NOT call them. They sound like they dont even give a damn anyway.
