The whole story is below, to sum it up we were sold a lemon car that broke down after a day several months ago, were threatened with prosecute by the law, and still have no car even though we shelled out thousands of dollars of our hard earned money. Thanks Alex! FYI this companys BBB grade is a big fat F as in failure to meet consumers expectations!. Our experience with this company has been a disaster so far. We decided to purchase a car from them several months ago. We were in an accident after someone rear ended us and were taking taxis for months before this waiting for the insurance claim to come threw. It finally did and my girlfriend could finally smile again. We decided to get a car something she like, and she showed me this Volkswagen bug one night and fell in love with the vehicle. The next day she had bought the vehicle she resassured me that everything was in good working order that she has a 3 month return policy and a 3 month warrenty covering anything that happened to the vehicle. It sounded to good to be true a car with low mileage at the price point she purchased it for? Amazing! I was very happy for her. Unfortunately this is where the good part of the story ends. She came to surprise me to pick me up from work that day(yay no taxi) not more then 2 minutes into the car ride the engine suddenly sputtered to a stop and broke down on the high way. We were in shock in disbelief. How could a car with this low mileage just suddenly break down like this? We found out how to pop the hood and tried to start it several times to no avail. We ended up contacting United Auto Outlet to get a hold of Alex the oh so helpful Sales person, he had given her his personal number incase any trouble arose. A good samaritan came by and tried to help us jump start the vehichle but nothing worked. We asked Alex what we should do he told us to have it towed to his lot at our own expense. This happened sometime in mid August we have not driven in the vehichle since. We tried to get our money back but low and behold, the salesman said their was no returns. We actually canceled the check incorrectly and then were threatened with legal action. Somewhere in the paper work was some writing that said basiacally YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LEGAL ACTION that United Auto Outlet seeks against you. What in the world... we got brought back to the bargaining table they had not fixed anything and demanded payment before anything would be fixed. Ok we understand we made a mistake were human we own up to it we will write the check in good will please fix the vehichle we were not interested in purchasing a vehichle that broke down the next day that is called a Lemon. Apparently all they can do for us because of all the shady customers the experince is fix the parts on the vehichle. This was a month ago sadly. I dont think anything has really even been fixed on the vehichle. We call daily and continue to have to spend large sums of money on taxis. Our quailty of life has downgraded because of this and it dosent look like their will be any fix in the near future (no time line, lots of excuses)

WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!! Im not one to write a bad review, but my experience was so horrible that I had no other choice. I do not want anyone to go through the same mess I went through. There are plenty of other car dealers, please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. These people are liars and scam artist! They are very unprofessional and will sell you a bad car and ignor your phone calls after the car is purchased. Their customer service is horrible! Try calling their number and see how often they answers the phone. I stopped by to look at a car they had for sale. To begin with, the dealership is extremely dirty and unorganized. They also have no heat or air conditioning. When I arrived the salesman told me the car was on sale for $2,000 less than it was listed for. I test drove the car and decided to purchase it. When it came down to purchasing the car the salesman went back on his word and said he made a mistake and that the car was not actually on sale. Because I liked the car I ended up purchasing the car with a check. The next day I went to take the car to Maryland state inspection and it failed miserably! There were thousands of dollars of repairs that needed to be done in order to pass. United Auto Outlet DOES NOT GUARANTEE STATE INSPECTION PASSING. I tried calling the salesman Kyle (name spelled differently) about all the issues and he refused to help. I ended up paying $3,000 in car repairs. He also promised me that he would mail me the extra key and days later told me there was no extra key. I asked them to help me obtain my license plates. Kyle said he could not do it and that I had to go to the mva and do it myself. I needed the car title in order to obtain registration and Kyle continued to give me the run around. I requested the car title on a number of occasions. One day he said he had it in his hand and would mail it to me. When I did not receive it in the mail I followed up. He then lied and said he did not have it and that all titles are kept in the bank and that they needed 10 business days for my check to clear in order to give me the title. I asked to speak with the manager and conveniently he is never available. I could go on and on about how terrible they are but they review is long enough. Whatever you you DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH UNITED AUTO OUTLETS. Good luck car shopping!

READ THIS! Very disappointed..I got a car from them a little over a month ago (a 2007 Mazda 3 with around 95,000 miles on it). While the car seemed great at first, it has now been nothing but problems. First driving down the road and the both belts broke on me, had to have it towed and fixed (a $400 bill) they also discovered that someone had placed sandpaper around one of the gears (the mechanic had never seen this before and guessed that it had been put there to keep the belts from slipping). Not 2 days later, Im driving when the car suddenly jerks hard and the maintenance light and AT light came on and the car then refused to go past 3rd gear...so back to the mechanic (this time we went to AAMCO) and they do a diagnosis and determine its faulty parts in the transmission..so after dealing with the 3rd party coverage company I bought through United Auto, who would only pay for a replacement used transmission, I got the car back yesterday after a week. Now, just this morning, I get in the car, turn it on and the AT light came on and the lights indicating the gear Im in were all out, put it in drive and it jerked hard again..so I took it back to AAMCO and unfortunately, because it was a used transmission they dont know anything about it, they would have to take it apart and rebuild it (which would cost a fortune!)...they also dont have a opening till Friday (Im writing this on Wednesday). So now I have to get another rental car and pay for a whole new diagnosis and go through the whole process again! The total spent so far on the repairs for the car, plus the rental I needed the first time it went in has been over $1,000.00! ALSO, after the belts broke my dad called United and spoke to Mike (the guy who sold us the car) who claimed that he had no idea anything was wrong with the car, which seems unlikely since the mechanic said that the sand paper was deliberately put there by someone.
