As a result of E-commerce, Internet pricing, and business collaborations over the Internet, how unprofessional has our business society become? Particularly, in the automotive industry? As complexities of supply chain management systems become more integrated, are we, as a society of working class people, being more or less discriminated against (in terms of our socio-economic status), I wonder??? As businesses inquire into the working history of customers applying for credit, are TransUnion, Equifax, and/or Experian credit reports determining how creditors should proceed? Or is it racial profiling? Purchasing big ticket items over the Internet is not unfamiliar to me. In fact, I would rather purchase an automobile over the Internet than do business locally. Financing over the Internet, however, is a different subject matter compared to paying cash – a normative practice for me. My latest financial transaction over the Internet has proved to be a difficult task and my aim is to find out why. I cant imagine that every Internet car buyer financing the purchase of a car over the Internet is experiencing the same difficulty. So, if its not consumers causing difficulties in financing over the Internet, it has to be businesses inquiring about the individuals applying. MY EXPERIENCE: As I searched for the right vehicle to start my new Uber business, Google searches led me to an automotive dealer in Scottsdale, AZ and to a local dealership in Chicago, IL Applying for the vehicle in Scottsdale, AZ, I followed normal application processes, got approved, and then was told that another salesperson had sold the vehicle I was planning to finance. Very unprofessional! The Chicago outfit sold me a vehicle that was not actually currently in their inventory. Action Auto, out of Alexandria Virginia, got me approved with a great monthly payment, and I booked a flight to only to find out less than an hour before the flight was scheduled to leave, that they had decided to back out of the deal. It is important to note that they made this decision after they had requested a copy of my Driver’s License (which is current and valid) but, which shows that I am not Caucasian. Action Auto claimed to have concerns about my income but, of course, retrieving financial documents would unexpected and difficult to track down sitting in the airport about to board in less than 30 minutes. Action Auto not only told me that they would not allow me time to gather necessary documents but, they no longer wanted to sell me the car. This outfit, in my opinion, is very unprofessional, unfair, and highly judgmental of other – which is a form of prejudice. Note: I see that there is also another African American that has had a bad experience with Action Auto... My predictions were right! --Cleo

I am an officer in the Royal Australian Air Force posted to Washington to serve with the USAF. My wife and I wanted to buy a quality car during our stay in America. I researched the cars in my desired range using sites such as CAR FAX and CARMAX. Action Automotive Cars happened to be the first car dealership we visited which advertised a vehicle in the range we were seeking. We were immediately happy with their service and dedication to our requirements. While Ben had a good car and deal, being a seasoned car buyer I visited several other car dealerships which also had cars in our desired range. While one or two other dealerships had a similar car at a reasonable price, my wife and I get kept comparing Bens attention and understanding of our requirements. In the end no other car dealership could match Action Automotive Cars who provided the right car at the right price with the right level of service. We purchased the car and without any extra burden on us Ben and his team handled all the extra DMV registration administration associated with being a buyer from a foreign country. We are extremely pleased with the deal and service Ben and his team provided and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who is seeking a quality car at a good price backed up by friendly, helpful service.

I was introduced to the owner of this dealership, Farooq, by a friend of mine to help me check out this Lexus IS 350 F-Type they had for Sale. Farooq was extremely friendly and helpful; he introduced me to his employees to assist me with test driving the car I was interested in. I had a Kia Soul, and I wanted to have it replaced with a better and comfier car. I was impressed by the cleanliness and maintenance of the Lexus I test drove; it didnt feel like a used car at all! I was sold on the car, so now the only problem was whether Farooq will give me a good deal on my trade in, and guess what? He did! After we agreed on the price of the Lexus and the trade in value for my Kia, one of the sales person, Ben, helped me with the purchasing process. Ben was extremely helpful in the whole process. Ben explained everything step by step to me. The entire process was seamless and very efficient. I am very happy with the service Farooq and his team provided me, and I will highly recommend this to my friends, family, and anyone who is looking for a clean and well maintained luxury car without the ridiculous price tag that other dealers have! Farooq and his team will take good care of you. Thanks again!

I contacted Action Automotive concerning a Mercedes SLS AMG. After searching for months on Autotrader and Car Gurus nationwide, I narrowed it down to a couple of vehicles, one of which was at Action Auto. They clearly had the best price and I believe it is because their overhead is low. Most of these types of cars are sold at big fancy sports car dealers or Mercedes dealerships whose overhead MUST be sky high to pay for all that excess. I was concerned that the customer service would suffer but it did not. I dealt with Judd Addy, salesperson, who was always available for questions via email, text and phone. After driving 7 hours to Alexandria to view/purchase the car I was concerned about the many things that could go awry. The car was as promised and ready, battery charged, paperwork ready to go. We were in and out of there in two hours. My overall impression was of a small business ready to do anything to gain your trust and business. My only complaint was that the title took longer than promised to arrive in the mail and required some follow up phone calls. I would not hesitate to purchase from Action Automotive again.

Im very pleased with the service provided to me by Judd and Diego at Action Automotive. I called in from my home state(Massachusetts) looking for a Kia Sportage they had in stock. For one, I have to say their prices are pretty low, the process was seamless communicating back and forth with Judd before I caught my flight down to purchase the vehicle. There were no surprises once I arrived. The vehicle was as described and in excellent shape, all the wear and tear items that normally wouldnt be addressed had been addressed. From the test drive to the completion of my paperwork, I was done and on the road in about an hour and thirty minutes after I arrived( fastest Ive been in and out of a car dealership.) Im very happy, and Im sending a friend of mine to Action Preowned for a BMW hes looking for. Ill recommend the Action Preowned team to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle, they have a great inventory, with vehicles in excellent condition, even more importantly their customer service is amazing!!
