We took two photos to have them framed because we had a coupon. The customer service was poor because they couldnt even tell us how much it was going to cost and in the end said that their in-store deal was better than the coupon (and the price was still more with the in-store deal than other places, we have since learned.) We ordered the frames and were told it would take 2 weeks to have it done (which seemed excessive). We waited the two weeks and on the due date for us to pick them up, they called and said that they could only have one done because they werent sure if we wanted the plastic sleeve that the photo was in framed along with it or not, so they hadnt done it, and that we would have to wait an additional 2 weeks while they ordered the frames. We asked if we could get a discount for them being late. They said that isnt something they do. We got our money back and took them elsewhere. Never get a framing job done there.

We go to this location often for a variety of my crafts. Wonderful selection of yarn and fabric along with everything Ive ever looked for in a craft store with the exception of spikes and studs. (Though those are usually only online.) However, today our experience was horrendous. Had this been our first time wed never come back after this experience. They put two items from the same brand above a sale price, and when my sister took one that was not actually on sale, a cashier named Lisa talked to her in a very condescending tone and treated her like she was stupid when she was confused about the higher price. When we went to another cashier to check out the actual discounted item and described the confusing set up, she was very nice, thanked us for letting her no and said shed take a look and see if they can fix it. Weve had mostly good experiences. But this woman was extremely rude.

Been to most of Utahs Joann stores and a couple out of state. They all have something in common and that is terrible customer service. They lack employees to help you search for a product, they are very rude, and they lack products. I went to the Tooele Utah store to get some small size ziplock baggies, and they had boxes of them but were tapped shut as if they were used or broken into. Came back two months later and they were still there. Their prices are out the roof compared to other places (even using their coupon). It is just not a fun place or need place anymore. I get my fabric and all other crafting goods on Amazon, or other places on the internet.

I had a very rude experience from an employee working the frame department (Vonda, I think her name was) this past weekend. She was so rude, like she couldnt be bothered with my question. I was just looking for transfer paper. After I made it a point to take down her name, I said: "Thank you for your time, Vonda" and walked away. She knew I jotted her name and came to look for me a few seconds later, only after the fact. Sigh, I hate to say it, but it felt very racist. My daughter asked me if the uncomfortable feeling she was feeling for the first time was racism? I told her I wasnt sure but I think it might have. So sad.

Love JoAnns. They accept several coupons at once. From phone, paper, mailers, website coupons, Michaels coupons, as many as you can gather. Saves me a ton of money. Good variety on all crafting items. Dog blanket made with yarn and coupons from JoAnns. The store is nice but many of the staff need attitude adjustments. Maybe if JoAnns paid more than minimum wage they would have happier employees. I would be grumpy too if I mad minimum wage. They are a cheap company when it comes to paying their staff. Makes the general moral low. Maybe hire a few less get quality workers and pay more.

I went to Joanns today hoping to buy what I needed to make my mom a blanket while going through chemo. They seemed to have a decent selection although not exactly what I was looking for, and the fabric cutters were quick and efficient. However at checkout I was told I could not run my card as debit and that there was nothing they could do about it. The cashier was not friendly or understanding at all and did not even offer to hold my items. As a retail manager I feel the need to give feedback on a system that is obviously flawed and customer service that is lacking.

Just because you are the sewing machine demo lady doesnt mean you cant help a customer find an associate to help them...especially as its getting close to closing time. Its a customer service thing & a decent person thing. Plus being snotty & unwilling to be helpful is even worse. I work retail & I help people find what they need all the time even if it does benefit me & is outside my department. If I was that persons boss they would be gone. Nasty unhelpful person. I will never come look at buying a sewing machine there now.

Holidays for retail is tough. Seasonal employees and crowds. However, all employees need training on how to handle returns. When I tried to do a return the manager was rude and refused to listen. I had purchased something on sale. She said it was on clearance, because it said Christmas on it. Actually it wasnt and I had my receipt to prove it. It should have been an easy return. Instead I was treated horribly and I drove to Draper to have them handle things. They did a much better job.

Great selection, and great prices, but their Cashier, Geena, was so grumpy! I tried to engage with her, and chat about her day, but she was utterly unresponsive. Then when she finished ringing me up, she wouldnt hand me my bag. She just sat there and sighed heavily as I reached around her cashier counter to get it. Wow. I dont expect Susie Sunshine, but that was ridiculous.

I like the store although that one on draper and salt lake on 39s and 23 east are more nicer and helpful I come to this one because is closer to me, what bugs me is that they dont always know when are they having more material that I need I buy in huge quantities, and what also bugs me is what they have in the store dont have it in the website or website in the store.

Always wonderful customer service. Awesome selection of fabric, notions, and craft items compared to any other local Joanns. Fabric line is usually a little long, but its to be expected with a store that big. At least I can grab a number and shop while I wait. I wish that I lived closer so I could go to this Joann all the time!

JoAnns is a good craft store, although the registers and fabric counter can get pretty backed up at times. The employees have told me this is because customers all come in surges so its hard to have the right amount of staff. They always have good sales going and coupons are easy to come by.
