We drive an hour out to their place, they told us it would be a 3 hour wait to get our console fixed which was fine. Come back 3 1/2 hrs later they havent even looked at it and cant tell us when it will be done or when they are going to get to it. They had issues with something else, they were short a tech, blah blah blah. Came back 3 more hrs later and they still hadnt got to it and gave us some other bs story and said another hr. Didnt have the parts so they had to go get it from Sandy. Needless to say after another 1 1/2 hrs later we are still waiting. There was one guy that came out and told us that the ball bearing was bad and the laser so they were just fixing that then it would be done. The guy that brought it out said oh hes new, there are no ball bearings in this system. Then he said they had to try more lasers because the one didnt work. You just told us you didnt have the parts to begin with. So needless to say 8 1/2 hrs later we got it back. They showed us in their store that it worked. Better not have any problems when we get it home. Their game selection sucks as well. We were not impressed with the customer service or the place we wont be going back.

Had the worst experience here! I was in Salt Lake City a couple months ago and decided to buy a Playstation 2 guitar for Rock Band; something that I hadnt been able to find in my home town in Arizona. Upon arriving home, I tried hooking up the guitar and found out that I had been sold a Wii guitar, instead of Playstation (the salesman actually went into the back to find a guitar so I had been assured that it was Playstation). I called the store to ask what I could do about this issue from Arizona and was told that when I was in Salt Lake City again I could come by and either exchange it or get a refund. Finally, when I had moved to Salt Lake, I went into the store to exchange it and was told there was nothing they could do. I gave them the receipt, told them who I had talked to (that employee no longer works there), and was told that their rules prevented them from helping me. I paid $35.00 to be given the wrong guitar and left with $15 in store credit, which was "the best they could do". ABSOLUTELY AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Honestly, what kind of business makes a mistake then refuses to fix it?

They may very well hold a high standard for customer service. I purchased an original NES in pristine condition and the associate, Jeremy; was kind enough to through in a bundle with an original NES controller and 5 games for half off on each of them. I was grateful that I ended up spending less than I thought I would have. Long story short I had issues with the NES, brought it back and their repair crew were so meticulous in terms of quality. Game ChangerZ is honest. Jeremy broke everything down for us so we could understand their methods and how involved they want you to be when their consoles or games are in their hands. This business is wonderful and will continue being a life-long patron! Haha

Dishonest company!!!! Told me over the phone it would be $90 to install a new 320gb hard drive into my system. I then go to the store to find out more and get told that it would be $120 to install now. Said they had to be the one to do it because I was changing the hard drive to 320gb and I had to put in software because of it. Strangely there would be no software problems because the drive I was replacing was also a 320gb hard drive, thats right, the same exact drive. Sadly the employee knew this and still lied about it. So not only did you try to rip me off, but lied on top of it. It was a pleasure not doing business with you!!!!!!!!!!!

Incredibly relieved to finally find a local game store that actually has good customer service AND deals in new and used games. Been looking for somewhere other than gamestop to buy and sell games, and I finally chanced upon Game Changerz. Really friendly and helpful staff, which consists of the assistant manager (TJ) and his manager (Adam, I think). TJ helped me when I was there, and all I can say is its great to finally have a place where they are willing to work with you on prices and are really looking out for you. This place definitely deserves more business than it has right now

Very overpriced. Mario Kart was boxed for $250ish. Everything else I was looking at was usually around $10 more than price charts. The games I bought were scratched from the get go, and while they did clean them up for me immediately, they should have been fine beforehand. There was also an employee looking up gameplay videos of games that were just barely traded in, and I can only imagine it was because he was going to buy the games immediately after they came in, or was trying to price them based on gameplay. Not good either way.

Game Changerz knows how to treat customers right! They didnt have the game I was looking for one day and they wrote down my name, number, the game and what system it was for. About a week or so later the game came in on a Friday and they called me right away. I told them I couldnt make it in till Monday and they held it that whole time for me. There is no better store in Salt Lake that has all the old classics for great prices and as knowledgeable of a staff. Great experience and I will be coming back again and again.

I went in here in search of an old super nintendo. They had probably the cleanest one Ive ever seen! Either this thing hasnt been touched in 20 years, or they did a fantastic job of getting it cleaned up. The price was super fair too! The guy that was working that night (06/05) was super friendly, and extremely knowledgeable of all the old consoles and games! This store is super clean, and well organized. Definitely the place you want to go to snag some sweet classic games!

This store is great when you get the owner. (guy in photo) The owner will always offer reasonable price on trade in and sales. But the other guy who works there has tried to low ball me twice on trade ins. Because of this I have been disappointed to pass up on purchasesing items from them. When I have purchased products from them that dont work they are very reasonable in returns. Its good store most of the time it is the best store when the owner is there.

i wont say that the customer service is perfect, since they dont baby you as soon as you walk in the door. but if youre a gamer, be it retro or modern, this is the place to go. as long as you know what you want and can tell the difference between different consoles, youll love this place. the vibe is nice and the setting is professional. the prices on everything are competitive to say the least. i mean 12 ps2 games for the price of 1 ps4 one.. no brainer.
