I dont ever do this, but I thought Id be a voice of warning to any of my friends who live in Utah. So they dont have to suffer the way I have suffered. Dont buy a car from Wasatch Auto Group!!! I was lied to and cheated into buying a Subaru that had a bad engine. Being honest they dont even deserve 1 star on google! Im naturally a trusting person and always give people the benefit of the doubt. But they quieted down the engine so it wouldnt make any bad noises on the day of purchase, and the very next day I realized something was terribly wrong! I had it checked out by their own mechanics and they said it was a rod knock. Which basically means Id have to replace the engine. Which of course they said they could do at my expense! I said no, you need to make things right and fix it for free or I want out of my loan. I was so upset that I even talked to the chief of operations and he said, tough luck! He was rude to me and treated me very poorly. There after I had to buy a $5500 engine for the car I just bought! Do not do business in any way with Wasatch Auto Group! They are dishonest from top to bottom. From their sales team clear up to the headman running their operations. The reason Im posting this is because my car broke down again today. Im fine. Im not angry. Theres no need to be. Being angry is just a waste of time. I actually learned so much about patience and forgiveness through this experience its crazy to think about. Haha My purpose is to make sure that non of my friends go through the same experience I did.

Very Unorganized! I was fortunate enough to chat/email them online for awhile about the car I was interested in first. I must have emailed back and forth for several hours in order to get the deal I wanted and ask questions. When I was satisfied I told them I would be down to the lot to look at the car. It wasnt until I was in my car driving to their lot that they informed me I wouldnt be able to look at the car that day because it was in the "shop." I thought that was kinda weird but whatever. Then the salesman asks me if I can come the next day and promises I could look at the car then. I say ok and we set up a time to look at the car. Fortunately for me I was smart enough to email them prior to me driving there...to which their response was their is no way you can look at the car because its in the "shop" and the "shop" is closed. This just makes me wonder why they would post a car for sale on several different websites and then when someone is interested in buying it, they arent able to let you see or test drive it. IF you cant sell it then DONT post it for sale!! I initially thought I was just being weird about this whole situation (making something out of nothing), then I started reading other peoples reviews on here and realized this is common practice for this poor excuse for a dealership! I say thank you to all the other people who have taken the time to review this dealership because all of you have saved me from ever going to or buying from this horrible place!

My wife and I wanted to buy a truck. WAG received our info from an online questionnaire and called us to come in. We went down there within a couple of hours. After finding a truck we liked we went through the purchasing process. After we found out we were approved under my name, I signed the paperwork and we took our new truck home. We found out that they never did emissions or an alignment after working on our car, they did take care of payment by phone with the outsource places we went too. About two weeks later we got a letter in the mail stating that the loan wasnt approved under just my name from the lender. I called the lender and they said that the paperwork should have been filled out with both of our information. I contacted WAG and rather than driving out and getting everything taken care of in one day they decided to snail mail everything to us on a Thursday. Monday rolled around and we finally received our paperwork to fill out and send back. After sending paperwork back, I waited a week and a half to hear something, anything and nobody called us to let us know what was going on. I called them today and talked with Justin leaving a message to call back and let us know the progress, havent received a call back. I will not recommend this dealership to any of my friends, acquaintances, or even enemies.

My husband and I bought a car from there drove it for 5 days it was perfect. We had to take it back to them to install a GPS device as requested by them!! they installed a faulty device which killed our battery! we had to bring the car in about 4 different times and argued with them to replace the battery!! every time they would tell us it was good to go the battery would be completely dead the next day! they said it wasnt their fault when in reality it was the faulty GPS device that kept draining the battery!! they were nice when we bought the car but treated us like we were an inconvenience when we called about the issues we were having!! they cost me time and gas to keep having to go back and forth from west valley to north salt lake! we had to fight to get our problem solved! I have made 2 payments on this car and now we have engine trouble! i called to get them to send me my warranty info as I was at work and didnt have it with me they told me they were having their Christmas party and that they would send it in a hour! its been well over 3 hours and still nothing!! not even a phone call back!! this definitely has left a sour taste in my mouth about dealing with them! Horrible customer service!! I would not recommend anyone buy a car from them!!! This whole experience has been nothing but a nightmare!!!

Id been looking for a used Hyundai Accent with particular features, and could find nothing locally (Denver area). I widened my search and discovered exactly what I wanted at Wasatch Auto Group in Utah. Justin Benson replied immediately to my online inquiry. I was a bit wary of buying a car sight-unseen from a seller 450 miles away, but Justin addressed all my concerns. He personally drove the car to a Hyundai dealership Id contacted in SLC. They thoroughly inspected the car for me, so I knew exactly what issues Id be dealing with. Justin was also able to get me a reduced price on the car. He arranged shipping to a dealership here in CO for a very reasonable $350. He overnighted the title and all the paperwork, which I used to register the car the next day. There was only one glitch- the 45-day Utah temporary tag attached to the car was somehow lost in transit. But Justin was able to rebate the DMV fee to me, which I really appreciated. For a $7,000 used car sale, this was fantastic customer service- way beyond what Id have expected. Justin was extremely helpful, professional, and pleasant to work with. Im driving my "new" car, and Im delighted with it. I highly recommend Wasatch Auto Group to anyone looking to buy a car by long-distance. I understand they routinely ship cars as far away as California.
