Overall service was less than pleasing. I wasnt acknowledged or greeted during and felt like the "peasant" to them. The fragrance dept however was AWESOME. A guy headed this portion and was so knowledgeable about the brands and had great suggestions toward my taste and undertones I was looking to try. He knows his fragrances. I left with samples of some pretty pricey options. The makeup dept. though wasnt my favorite. I wanted to try Too Faceds new "Born this way" and asked for a color match. She took her sweet time getting to me and stopped to talk to others while in the middle of it. She started by asking if I had much product on my skin and looked to my acne scars and nearly chuckled. Yes I have my acne scars uncovered in public.. and I know theyre bad. thats what Im here to sample foundations for. Im sensitive about skin problems and didnt need the reminder. She also wouldnt admit there was no shade that matched me and just kept saying the lighting was weird there and "the more she looked at it the nicer it matched". They carried nothing light enough for me. It was orange. And if it didnt look good under their deceiving lighting (meant to make everything look lovely) then no way could it be a match. I wish she wouldve suggested another good brand for what I described I needed (acne coverage, sensitive on skin, etc). Will be back for fragrance though. This guy treated me like a valued customer and knew his stuff. He spent his time helping me without acting burdened or inconvenienced.

Customer service used to be great here. Now, I have asked for assistance from two "color artists" who have matched me wrong. Each time, they are rude, pick up one foundation, rub a small amount on my jaw, say it matches and walk away. The second time, the girl mentioned needing to clean her brushes as she is using one to apply foundation to my face. I have no clue if it as clean or not, but thats disgusting. The first time, I went home to try the foundation I was yellow. The second time, I was grey. I finally went to the City Creek store and told them how unhappy this location made me. I was very well taken care of. The girl tested multiple foundations on me and sent me home with samples of each one. She told me to let the foundation dry before really judging it, as this can change the color (why couldnt the Fashion Place workers have told me this?) Skip Fashion Place and go to City Creek, where they are nice and will actually take good care of you.

I usually love going in to Sephora. Its my favorite part of going to the mall. I went in last week with a friend because she wanted to get the same bobbi brown foundation I have but we couldnt decide what shade would look best on her. Usually when I walk into sephora, Im immediately greeted and asked if theres something Im looking for. This time around, neither of these things happened. We looked around for someone who worked there to help match her and when we finally found someone, we were told theyd find someone to help us. After 10 min (not kidding) I asked another girl if she could help us and she put her finger up, indicating to wait, without saying a single word. We left after being sick of waiting and needless to say, Im never going back to that sephora again.

Im sad I dont remember the ladies name who had helped me but she was a superstar. Seriously. I went in to exchange a lip stick I had bought, but decided Id get advice on skincare because I had flakiness on parts of my face but then oiliness on others. I had ALWAYS thought I had oily skin. Well, turns out I have really dry skin and it was oily because it was compensating for the dryness. She recommended peels, hydrating face mask, and oils. She gave me samples of 2 oils and peels. I tried one of the peels and one of the oils and I dont remember the last time my face felt this healthy!! Im definitely going back to purchase everything she recommended and to learn her name. My life has been changed.

We were looking for a specific product. We walked around for 10 mins without being acknowledged. I found a makeup artist, fixing her own make up and asked if someone could help us. She said she was busy but would find someone. She then sent another make up artist our way, passed us and asked 2 other people if they needed help. Finally she got to us. She was great with helping us for the 5 mins she could spare. The prices are steep, to be expected, some items are not marked with the prices. Loud musik was blaring. I am hoping I can find the product that worked for my daughter someplace else, because the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth.

I walked in and saw 4 employees standing together talking right by the front doors. When I walked in, they looked at me and then went back to their conversation. They couldnt even acknowledge me or my existence. I walked around for 5-10 minutes and was passed by at least 3 more employees during that time and nobody said a word to me or asked me if I needed help. I left, and again the group of talking employees didnt say anything to me. If they were busy I would have understood as Ive worked in retail management for 6+ years but if you have time to hang out like that, you have time to acknowledge customers and actually do your job. We wont be back.

I went there it was very disappointing, i got no help i had to hunt down the workers .and after i waited 20min for them to get back to me.then when they did they were in a hurry and rude they didnt offer me any samples like most sephoras do i was disappointed i felt like it was discrimination because i am hispanic and i was not white in the store.and all.employees were white and customersi felt like i didnt meet there standards.it was disappointing that i have not gone back since.i think.they should treat everyone the same.and offer everyone samples not just to white ppl.

As we were leaving I had an employee tell me "Im glad you found everything alright... Including the stuff in your pockets" she made sure to call security on me, but once I emptied my pockets to show her i only had my wallet and keys, she ran away saying she didnt aqquse me of anything. I wish I had asked for her manager, but I was too flustered being called a thief in front of the entire store and mall security. I know I will never be back to this location again, and neither should you. I would rate 0 stars if I could.

If youre heading to get your VIB 15% off today Make Sure You ASK for it! I walked out and checked my reciept and had to walk right back in for my return. The girl with the bun, terrible hombre and tattoos just conveniently didnt give me my 15% off a $190 total. Big Thanks Trystan on 4/21 at 4:30pm for being a sweetheart and correcting the issue. I spend thousands of dollars here and dont appreciate my time being wasted. Also this store is never kept up on stock, its just a convenient location.
