2015/16 was my first year for skiing and by early spring it was clear that new skis were required if I wanted to ski in spring conditions. After some online research I had a short list of prospects and "discovered" The Sport Loft when looking for a local shop. A few days later I went to The Sport Loft expecting a short conversation, sales pitch and possible purchase. Upon meeting Jeremy, however, I tossed my expectations aside as his enthusiasm and passion for the sport are palpable. We discussed my current abilities at length and then Jeremy asked, "What sort of skiing do you want to do going forward?" Another conversation ensued after which he recommended a pair of ON3P Kartels. Being late in the season a demo pair was unavailable and I was apprehensive about purchasing the skis. But our conversation was so thorough and my impression of Jeremy so positive that I bought them that afternoon and was on the slopes the following day. They were absolutely perfect and enabled me to ski until Snowbird closed for the season. Driving home after my first day on the Kartels I pondered on how Jeremy had nailed my needs based only on a conversation... if he was able to do that, then surely he could fix my ski boot issues. A few days later I had Jeremy do a full boot fitting which was, without doubt, the single best thing I did for my skiing all year and absolutely the best money I spent all season. My first outing after the fitting was the first day I didnt think about my feet. Two weeks later I commented to my wife that I wished I could just wear my ski boots all the time as they fit that well. As summer arrived I was still thinking about how good my feet felt in the boots. I called Jeremy and asked if he could do his boot magic on my shoes. Turns out he can. And did. It took a couple weeks to get used to the orthotics, but once I did I spent a pain-free week walking around Bryce and Zion while on vacation. In a nutshell... My feet have never been happier as I can now go an entire day without foot pain of any level. And I cannot thank Jeremy enough for all that he has done for me. But the amazing that is The Sport Loft does not start and end with Jeremy. I have been back several times and have met everyone. Earl is a true gentleman in addition to being a boot fitting wizard and encyclopedia of ski knowledge. Lindsey and Mike helped my wife gear up for her first season and took the time to explain the how and why of a good fit for gear. And do not let Derek fool you... he may be quiet, but he is a wealth of knowledge. This year I wanted to upgrade my Atomics, but was concerned that the Kastles I was considering would be "too much ski" for me. Derek not only addressed my concerns, he provided a detailed comparison of how they would improve the shortcomings I had with the Atomics. Didnt demo those, either. Love them. You will never go wrong having a conversation with any of the folks at the shop. They test a wide range of gear and not just the products they carry. And you will not be pressured to make a purchase. For example, my wife tried Anon goggles at the shop, but told Lindsey that she preferred my Oakleys (which they do not carry)... Lindseys response was to go with the Oakleys as a good fit was the most important thing. Sure, they lost a sale, but actions like this ensure that The Sport Loft will always be our first stop. I cannot say enough good things about the folks at The Sport Loft as they are great ambassadors for the sport and, above all, want folks to have fun skiing. The day I bought the Kartels, Jeremys last comment was "Thank you for putting your faith in us." No, Jeremy, thank you and the entire Sport Loft family for having the expertise, customer service and integrity to merit faith in you.

Ive been fitted for a lot of boots over my 40+ years of skiing. Earl & Jeremy are hands-down the best boot fitters Ive EVER experienced. First, let me get this out of the way - This is NOT a discount shop, so if you go looking for a bargain you will be disappointed. BUT, if youre looking for exquisite fitting, stellar service, and top of the line gear, this is the place. Im very particular about my boots. I insist on a high performance boot, but even with foot warmers my toes would get so cold Ive had to go inside every few hours. Other boot fitters have told me I need to unbuckle every lift ride and just deal with it because of poor circulation in my feet. Jeremy took a different approach altogether. He thoroughly assessed the structure of my foot and lower leg, identified pressure points that cut circulation, suggested the right boot for my objectives and foot/leg structure, and custom fit me with foot beds, liner and shell adjustments. He absolutely NAILED IT on the first shot. Ive skied my new boots for 3 days now, and unlike other boots that Ive had to have tweaked and adjusted multiple times before they are dialed, these are spot on. Just the best! No cold toes (Ive not even used the foot warmers yet) but the performance is phenomenal! My first experience with Sport Loft was a few years ago. I took in my old boots that I bought from another shop and explained the problem I was having with them to Earl. He looked at them, assessed me, and adjusted the boots to get me the proper ramp angle and heel retention. He spent at least 30 minutes with me and got it just right. The icing on the cake was NO CHARGE. Yep, they had me as a customer for life at that point. I bought a pair of skis at Sport Loft the beginning of the season. When I picked them up Earl would not let me carry them out to my truck. He insisted that one of the shop guys help me out to my truck with them. Now, Im certainly capable of hauling skis around (Ive been doing it for years), but that gesture shows the attention to detail that they pay to customer service. You simply wont find it anywhere else. Sport Loft is definitely a specialty shop. Ive noticed that they have an established clientele that keeps coming back. I assure you, theres a good reason for that customer loyalty!

I do not usually write reviews about businesses, but I owe my ability to be physically active and a happy runner to this business, so there is great reason for me to rave. I came to the Sport Loft with plantar fasciitis and very low spirits. As much as I loved running, I couldnt run for more than a half mile without incredible pain in my feet and ankles. I also struggled with standing on my feet for long periods of time and participating in other fitness activities. I had worked with physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine doctors, and experienced runners. I had tried just about every running shoe out there, a number of inserts and taping approaches, topical treatments, stretches, massage, and so forth. Nothing offered a solution, and I was told that the shape and structure of my feet made getting into distance running unlikely. The Sport Loft changed all of this. Jeremy used highly scientific analysis of my feet, stride, and biomechanics to assess what I would need from an orthotic insert and a running shoe. He was very detail-oriented and careful in figuring out what was going on with my feet, and he was spot-on. With his help, I had custom orthotics and new shoes that removed the barriers to my distance running. Immediately, I was able to run further without discomfort. I have returned to the Sport Loft for the last three years for my shoes and orthotics and each time, I have received unparalleled customer service. Jeremy has been responsive and helpful for questions Ive had in preparation for distance races Ive done and always offers really detailed, knowledgeable tips. I would recommend this business to anyone and although I have moved out of state, I continue to consult the Sport Loft for my running needs and give them my business. Its the best there is.
