Please keep in mind that I am a Customer Service Manager and the service that I received at Brooks was the worst experience I have ever had. I arrived at the store just shy of 5:30, they were vacuuming and I knew that they were going to close at 6 pm. I asked about a pattern for a quilt in the window which I was given. The lady that was helping me took me over to the fabric, by then it was 5:45 - 5:50. She started to pull the fabric and I believe it was the owner who came over and said, "We are not cutting fabric, we are closing." I laid the pattern on the counter and told my friend, "Let’s Go." The owner told me that I should purchase the pattern because it probably wouldnt be there when I came back. I said, "No thank you." Interesting to me that they have time to sell me the pattern. Again I said to my friend, "Let’s go." As we walked out the door the same women laughed. I have no idea how someone can run a business that way! I have been to other quilt stores and have never had an experience as I did at Brooks. I can tell you that I will never go back again. They do not deserve the money that I work so hard to earn. Talk about a lack of respect to a paying customer. I give a minus zero rating and I will never recommend their business to anyone.

I live in Minneapolis and make a few trips to Utah a year. On almost every trip (for many years now), I make a point to go to Brooks Fabrics. Wonderful fabric at market-rate prices for the good quality. Comparable prices to any good quilting store Ive been in. I have found wonderful help in the store, even when I call long distance. They have mailed my fabric because my suitcase couldnt carry so many cute pieces of fabric home. Their selection of childrens quilt fabric (especially flannel) is unsurpassed. I cannot say enough good things about this store. Wish it were closer . . .

I have been there a few different times and every time I feel like I am imposing on their time. The only staff that I ever find is the one working at a table making something. The staff never greet me when I come in. If another staff comes out while I am there they also look at me like I bothering them. Once when I went in the staff had two ladies sitting at the table just visiting. I wish I could have had the quaint and warm small town experience, but it did not happen.

I have to say I hate going into this store and dread having to ask anything of the employees. I LOVE the fabric and enjoy the countless options of fabric. I have never experienced worse customer service than this store. I hope the owners are ignorant to this fact because if they knew what was going on and let it continue I would have no respect for them. Sad. I would also like to see a lower price point on the fabrics as well as the already made items for sale.

Asked if they had a very specific item, they said yes. I asked for a ball park price and she just told me I was just going to have to come in and see. Talk about customer service......... good luck getting me to make a trip down there when they wont even walk a few steps to look up a price.

They have the best fabric selection. Far better than JoAnns and organized so much better as well. The ladies in the shop are always pleasant and nice to my kids. Prices are a little higher but I love supporting small businesses and the fabric quality is better too.

I used to go in with my Mom when I was little, but their quality if service has declined since then, and I wont shop there anymore. Its turned into a quilt shop. Cute fabric, horrible service.

Wow! what a selection of adorable fabrics! I do wish you had more stretch knits, lower prices, or coupons offered. But for a quilter or craftier with $ this place is heaven!
