This was just the worst experience. I left my dogs there for six days while I went to Washington DC. And just for a little background information my dogs are like my children, and I take their care very seriously. First of all, when I called to check on my dogs the little girl on the phone immediately acted like she knew exactly who my dogs were and began describing their behavior to me and how much they loved the other dogs and what theyve been up to. Normally, this wouldnt be a cause for concern you would be happy that someone paid such close attention to your puppies. But what she was describing was very out of the ordinary and didnt sound like their personalities at all. I even asked her, " are you sure you have the right dogs? ". Secondly, when we arrived early to pick them up, we observed the "Doggy Day Camp" session, which really was just them putting the dogs in a small room with all the other dogs and having an employee stand there and text while the dogs did nothing at all. Thirdly, when we went to pick up our dogs, my large Great Dane was coughing pretty heavily (the unmistakable "honking cough" of kennel cough). I heard this and ask them immediately has she been coughing lately and when did this develop? They lied right to my face and told me that she had never coughed while she was in there, and that she was just excited to see us. I let it go and thought maybe theyre right weve never kenneled her before, so maybe she is just excited. The coughing continued and now Ive noticed BOTH of our dogs are coughing like this and it hasnt even been 12 hours since they left. I am SO pissed and will be calling corporate and reversing the $700 charges that we paid on our credit card for one kennel and 6 days. Just awful care and VERY overpriced. Do NOT take your dogs here.

NEVER EVER board your pet at this Petmsart of Bay Area!!!!!!! I boarded my pomeranian there for 4 days. I called to check on him every day and they said he was fine and happy. When i went to pick him up and they brought him out, he was barely breathing! He was gasping for air! I asked them what was going on and how long had he been doing that. They said it just now started. Yeah Right! I had to take him to the vet inside the petsmart because he could literally barely breath. They checked him out and said he had an upper respritory infection, basically she said he had a head cold. He was still barely breathing when and I told them I didnt feel comfortable leaving with him like that, but the assistant said the Vet was now in with another dog doing a teeth cleaning. I left and immediatly took him to another vet who was great and saved his life! She did an xray on him and said he had a serious lung infection! She gave him antibiotics, steriods and breathing treatments for the next week. It cost me $1200 to get him back to healthy. I just wonder how long the poor little guy actually suffered without being able to breathe at Petsmart. They should have taken him to see a competent vet as soon as it started and called me to let me know he was sick! Later, I called and spoke the the store manager and the pet hotel manager was supposed to call me back, but she never did. I tried to reach her several more time, but never received a response. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!

Usually have no problems here, surprised to have a not so pleasant one today. Brought back a ridiculously priced black bow tie breakaway collar for my cat. Didnt return because of the price, returned because it literally made my cat go BAZERK, scared out of his mind hiding in unusual places, continuously licking himself fast like there was a bug, and running all over the place. When I took it off he was completely fine!!!!! Anyways... I checked out with an older woman with short hair. I asked her to flag this item so that another cat wouldnt possibly experience what mine did.l with this exact collar. She argued me that it was just my cat and how he reacts with collars or his personality. I assured her that he has a collar on at all times and this was not it, however she still argued! Very upset that someone who works at a pet store wouldnt be alarmed at this and blamed my pet!! There WAS something wrong with this collar, & those of you with cats or even dogs, please keep this in mind when purchasing collars and return immediately if this happens to your fur baby.

Boarded my puppy for the 1st time on Thurs August 11-th Monday the 15th of august, got the required vaccinations prior ro the stay. I had added doggie day camp so the dog would not feel so isolated. Today around 6 am my dog was coughing sort of choking after making sure his throat was clear it dawned on me that he could of contracted the Kennel cough. sure enough the vet prescribed him meds of $54 to treat it. I called them to notify them not only as caution as was told we do not cover meds. She even said they had heard that dogs were getting kennel cough in the area by parks. My dog has never been around other dogs until his stay at the petsmart hotel. I wish they could covered the cost and more accommodating them the Im sorry hope your dogs gets well. I took the preventive measure they didnt take the proper steps that the facility wasnt being more cautious or noting that a possible canine was carrying the virus that my puppy contracted while in their care. I will have to really decide to take him to a place that appreciates the well being of their guests.

My dog had a 12 oclock appointment for a wash and sanitary cut. By the time 5pm came, I got no phone call saying he was ready so I called to see how long it would be since they closed at 7. They said he was all finished and by the time I got there he looked the same as when I left him. It was as if they bathed him and put him right into he cage to air dry. He had not been cut at all and by that time they were only grooming 1 other dog so they must have just skipped over him. His coat still looked dry. I stood there while they cut his bottom, private area and paws. His face was not trimmed at all and when I asked I was told they dont trim the face for a sanitary cut and I would have to pay for a full cut. My dog is 3 years old and Ive been going to the same petsmart for the entire time except this time, but his face has always been trimmed with a sanitary cut. Ive NEVER paid for a full cut because his body hair does not grow much. I will not be returning to this location.

Using this grooming salon is the most horrendous decision I have ever made. After 6 hours, my small dog that simply needed a bath was finally done, and was bleeding out of his paws where his nails were trimmed. My large long-haired dog, 7 hours later, came back to me shaved in odd shapes all up the back of his back legs and with half of his tail missing, after I had asked for a simple bath and brush for him as well. The only part that was still there was the sanitary area, which I specifically asked to have shaved. This is THE most disturbing experience I have ever had trying to get my dogs a simple bath, and I would call anyone stupid enough to go to this salon after reading this deserving of whatever may happen to them.
