I went in to get an industrial piercing. I arrived about 10 mins after they opened. I walked in expecting to be greeted at the front desk only to stand there for about 10 min while they dealing with shop stuff (I guess). I was on the verge of leaving and then, finally, a woman greeted me and said she would be with me in a moment. She was very polite and apologized for the wait. Once was finally being helped, I spoke to a man to told me it would be $50 for the piercing and asked if I wanted to get it done right then. I asked him if there would be space for an industrial and assured me there was. I was prepared to do it and went for it. He took me back and cleaned my ear where it was going to be pierced. He marked it and before I knew it the needle was in my ear and it was done. I was never asked if the postion was good or to check it out before he pierced it. When I was done, I paid at the front desk and was given a paper on how to care for it. I got home washed out and looked at it. The bar pretty much ran horizontal across the top of my ear. It seemed too high up because the bar was touching the inside of my ear. I went back the same day and asked about it. I was told the because of the shape of my ear that this was the only way to do it. Fast forward to 2 days later, my ear was painful beyond the normal fresh piercing pain. The bar was digging into the middle of my ear causing my whole ear to hurt. I went to another shop for a second opinion. The piercer agreed that the placement was too high and thats why it was digging into my ear. It needed to be taken out. So, now Im out $50 and left with two holes that need to heal. From my experience, I do not recommend getting pierced at this shop.

I recently got my second tattoo done at Arc Angel Tattoo by Anthony. He has been very polite, professional, and respectful. As a female it is a little intimidating going to a tattoo shop in San Antonio, but Anthony at Arc Angel has treated me with the utmost respect and dignity each time. There are never any crude jokes or even inappropriate inuendos mentioned. This is a nice change from what I have had to deal with pretty much every time I have gotten a tattoo in San Antonio at other shops. Anthony is a Christian too! Anthonys tattoos have great color and always a custom flare that no other shop has come close to. I watch the other guys at Arc Angel work while I am there, Chris and Gill Montie, each seem to maintain the same level of professionalism that Anthony does, and the piercing guy Don does as well. From a female perspective Arc Angel is a wonderful tattoo shop where everyone can feel confident that they will have a great experience. I give this tattoo shop 5 stars! Its hard to find a Christian owned tattoo shop in San Antonio, although I think technically they are in Universal City, Arc Angel is a great Tattoo Shop. Oh pricing, its very fair, especially when you compare the level of quality artistry to the price.

I absolutely love this place. My first experience here was getting my belly button pierced when I was 18. The man who did it (I cant remember who because it has been a few years) was very nice and professional. He could tell I was nervous so he talked to me the whole time to distract me. The piercing healed quickly without any problems. Years later (today) I brought my brother in to get his first tattoo, and my second tattoo (though my first tattoo was from a different location). The tattoos that my brother and I got were done by Don. What drew me to this establishment for ink was how professional and put together their website is. You can see their work, and information about the artists, cleaning methods, and the artists years of experience. So like I mentioned, went in today, and I got a lotus flower with a semicolon, and my brother got a Yin Yang. The tattoos came out great! Don took the time to go over the cleaning and maintenance with both of us. He was very nice and professional. And did I mention the tattoos look great? Lol. Ill definitely be back here for future tattoos <3

This place has been there for 20 years and counting that says alot about them unlike alot of other shops in this town, This place is really unique inside if you have never been in there stop by and peep it out they have tons of old school flash from Sailor Jerry on the walls as well as a expanded side of the shop that u would never know that is there from looking at it from the outside the art work in that side is very unique with custom canvas paintings to custom flash on the walls as well as various awards from the artist working there, as well as a private studio upstairs for custom work on private body parts if you so desire, So stop in sometime you wont be dissapointed and get a Tattoo experience from the guys at Arc Angel!

This is the Best Tattoo Shop in San Antonio!!! I have had both of my sleeves done, my back, and my calves done by Anthony and Gill Montie at Arc Angel. This Tattoo Shop is maintained very well, its very clean, has a ton of flash and the guys are very easy to talk to. I have had many custom tattoo designs done which all flow together well. They do NOT rush you, overcharge you or use cheap ink like most other tattoo shops do. Anthony the owner is very aware of making sure you are happy with your tattoo. Arc Angel is a great tattoo shop, I am completely satisfied and reccomend them to everyone, first timers and seasoned tattoo collectors. You will only be impressed. Pricing is competitive, but like everything, you get what you pay for. Please avoid the production $40 shops, get a tattoo, and get a good one. You wont go wrong with Arc Angel.

I went here to get my nose pierced, and it was a terrible experience! The girl that did it for me marked my nose where I asked for it, and then put the clamp on and preceded to put the needle through, however she did not peirece it where she had marked it. Then after it was finished she gave me the aftercare instructions, which I followed and consequently got big bubble on the outside of my nose that oozed puss. She told me to clean it with an antibacterial hand soap and then spray Bactine on it. If you read the bottle of Bactine it says "do not use on puncture wounds" so I would not recommend following their aftercare instructions unless you want to get a nice little infection! I would not recommend this shop to anyone nor will I ever be back!
