The first time I got my belly piercing done here was on August 9th. It went fast, it was painless, and at first I thought the lady did a wonderful job. When I got home, I looked at my piercing and it was obviously crooked. On top of that, the piercing itself was too high so it was uncomfortable to wear jewellery. I took it out and waited a month for it to heal before coming back to RRT to have it redone for free. The second time the top ball was centered perfectly, but the bottom hole was way too far to the left making the whole piercing look lopsided again. The piercing was also too shallow. The piercing was poorly done and my body wouldve rejected it anyway had I not taken it out. I took photos of my second piercing and sent it to RRT via Facebook and asked for their opinions on it. They read the message, but never responded. They made a mistake, then acted like I didnt exist! I came back the very next day and asked for a refund. The manager, Jess, handed me $25 and practically tried to shoo me out the door. I counted the cash and politely told her that I wanted ALL of my money back. They made a big show of trying to find my information, but for whatever reason their iPad wasnt working. I offered to show them my bank statement, but they refused to look at it. In the end, I got only $40 out of the $48 that I spent on my piercing. I have nothing to show for my experience here except for four unsightly holes around my belly button. Because of all the scar tissue I now have around my belly button, getting it re-pierced a third time would be excruciating. The whole time I was there they didnt even bother to apologize. "Take your money and get out" was the general vibe. RRT may have excellent tattoo artists, but I wouldnt recommend this place for piercings.

Hey Heather Marie, I want to start by saying Thank You for hanging out for so long on Friday the 13th. The line was so crazy reaching out the door and into the parking lot. We did 208 tattoos that day. I know that you waited hours and I am so grateful for your patience that day. The fact you picked one of my drawings and I got to tattoo it... I was Stoked... So much so that afterwards we showed it off to everyone before you left.Thank You For the Tip also. After our last text about getting your tattoo touched up. I was able to speak to my Boss. He gave me the OK to do what ever it takes to make you happy. I was thinking about maybe adding a Trad flower or something along that line to the tattoo. I text as soon as I had the OK to do the touch up for free. NO Charge. A friend alerted me to the review you had placed here. Once again like I had said in my text to you. I am so sorry that you feel like you have been treated poorly. I am doing everything I can to make things right. I hope that you will come in and let us both put this in the past and more forward. You know from Friday the 13th that I am an easy going guy and that this shop is full of great people that really care. I know that I can not make everyone happy all the time but I will always try. Damn it... Well all ends OK. She came back in the next day. Out of my own pocket, I redid the tattoo and added to it for extra measure and it turned out great. We are already talking about adding more to the tattoo and a few new ones also.

Back in January I went in on Friday the 13th for there $20 tattoo sale, got a good size piece done on my inner forearm (spent 7 hours there) when I finally got my tattoo I seen spots that were messed up as leaving but he was already tattooing someone else and I didnt have more time to spend to go back and wait again to fix it so a week after I got it I called spoke to Petra? And was told I could go back in and get my tattoo fixed no charge...well life happened and I havent been able to go til now. Give them a call to see when I can go in and get told "they dont fix Friday the 13th tattoos and I got what I paid for. Shouldnt matter if I paid $20 or $200 take pride in your work and do the tattoo right, see had this tattoo been done right you would of gained and customer and I would go back for all my work, anyhow now I am being told its gonna be $60 more to fix cause my tattoo got "dry" while healing even though I have images that it looked the same way it does now that it did from the night that I got it!! Will NEVER go back to this shop and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone! Oh and my artist was Jason and based off other reviews on here seems Im not the first that he didnt properly color in tattoo like he should have.

Went to have some touchup work done and was worked on by Jason. After I healed three weeks I had to go back for more work due to the fact that he missed several places and it needed to be repaired or filled in. After Jason did that I needed to return for a third time because two lines were still completely missed and the tattoo look unbalanced, unfurnished and amateurish. Jason admitted that it looked unfinished but refused to complete his work without a minimum $80 shop charge. I have several tattoos and have never been to a shop or dealt with an so called artist that could care less about his work. I am new to New Braunfels so with an unfinished tattoo Im asking if anyone out there can please tell me where I can find a reputable tattoo shop? River Rat tattoos is not one.

I recently got my Daith Pierced. 7-24-17 I alway research before I get anything done. So I started watching YouTube videos about the Daith and everyone was saying three things Painful, migraine relief and takes forever to heal!! For me it didnt hurt. So far it has helped with migraine relief, I just hope it dont take a long time. I have gotten my nipples, nose, cartilage, tongue (twice), Belly button and last but not least ear lobes(three time)...the Ear Lobes and Daith were the least painful. River Rat piercing shop was very professional and friendly. Petra pierced me. Second time dealing with her and the first time she helped my daughter with a piercing that was done wrong. Thank u @pirate_pete_official I love my piercing!! Thank u, Christina

I emailed Tracy at River Rat tattoos a week before I went in with "my idea" and he worked with me and had everything lined up for me for the day I was coming in. When I arrived Jason had everything ready for me, then I told them I had changed my mind and had a completely different tattoo. Jason was absolutely wonderful to me. He took my new tattoo idea, drew it up for me and had me ready to go again. I am so thrilled with the work that he did for me. My new tattoo was everything I had hoped it would be. Thank you to all of the staff who worked with me and entertained my cousins with their own ideas. And thank you Jason for my beautiful tattoo.
