This stores service is utterly magnificent!! Just recently, I was in my local town bouncing from grocery to grocery searching for one particular product. Just one. I had the option of ordering it online but it was necessary for the occasion considering how tight on time I was (still am). My baby brother and I probably spent up to a good two hours and a quarter tank of my precious gas on this Odyssey of material goods. Well, one small and seemingly futile item, that is. I check to see if Whole Foods (about 30 minutes minimum from my location -- on a good day) and voila, Im told that they carry it. I arrive and search only to come to no avail. I asked the associates of the grocery store but said the item was not available. I was about to leave until the floor manager, Charlotta (if thats how its properly spelled) stopped what she was doing to assist me on my voyage. She, my brother, and I looked high and low but saw no sight of the item. She did not stop there, though. She gave me the opportunity to pick any item from the same manufacturer on the stores tab. She didnt know the hours I spent, the gas I burned, or how important the item was. She simply went above and beyond standard customer service. I typically only run into such service at Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and occasionally HEB. The prices are pretty standard in comparison to the various Whole Foods Ive entered in Texas. Store organization is impeccable. Uplifting ambiance. Simple parking. Fantastic and delicious bakery as well as their multiethnic cafe! Yum! But this Whole Foods in particular is my ultimate favorite due the magnificent service, warm atmosphere, to Charlottas (?) act of generosity.

This is a great place to come for specialty items you may not find at Kroger or HEB. I drive 40 minutes to come here when I am looking for particular items. I do find it annoying that they offer a discount of $0.10 per reusable bag you bring in and yet some employees give you the discount per bag you BRING and some give the discount based on how many bags you USE. If I am bagging my own groceries (which I shouldnt be doing anyway in my opinion, for what we spend there they should always staff cashiers and baggers)I try my hardest to put as many things in as few bags as possible even if I bring in 10 reusable bags, as I would prefer to only carry out 2 to my car. However should I choose to do so, I could just as easily place a few items in each bag just like they would if I were using the paper bags, and use all 10 of my bags to receive a total of $1.00 off my purchase. The fact of the matter is the employees need to show consistency in the Whole Foods reusable bag policy, whatever that may be and also make it clear to the customer, might I suggest posting something at each register so the customer and employees are all on the same page. Obviously I am not mad about saving $0.20 or $1.00, especially when I never spend less than 80 bucks in there, I just think it is silly and irrational to not give the discount when I do go out of my way to bring all my own bags each time. I would like to think Whole Foods cares more about saving the planet and not one dollar but clearly that South Park episode was SPOT ON.

Ive been a Whole Foods customer for some time, having shopped at several locations around town (Woodway, Sugar Land / Hwy 6, Post Oak / Galleria, and Louetta / Cutten). So far this Hughes Landing location has been a disappointment. All of the regular aisle goods are the same as youd expect. The Deli prepared foods at Hughes Landing, however, arent like every other Whole Foods in Houston. This is not a good thing. At every other Whole Foods in town, you can get a tasty complete meal in their refrigerated section... i.e. meatloaf + mashed potatoes + green beans, or a chicken scallopini meal with chicken, noodles, sliced bell peppers, sundried tomatoes, etc. At the Hughes Landing location, you must buy all of these things separately, which ends up costing more money and is less convenient. Many times these items arent even available. Every now and then they will have complete meals available, but it is rare in my experience, and the quality isnt on par with their other stores. In addition, the other Whole Foods Delis around Houston have many different sandwiches & wraps available. The Hughes Landing location doesnt. They have some wraps available at times but the selection is sparse compared to the other locations. Everything else about the Hughes Landing store is fine and compares favorably with their other locations. The produce section is outstanding.

Only reason I cant honestly rate this store any higher is because the hot food bar here is so LAME! It needs more variety of solid proteins like chicken, meatloaf (turkey meatloaf), roast turkey, pot roast, american chop suey and some baked/grilled fish. After shopping in several Wholefoods in different loactions, it seems like the city locations compared to the suburbs, always offer a greater variety of hot food and salad bar items, which I understand to some degree. With the Woodlands growing in diversity and population, we deserve to have the same variety as some of the other Wholefoods stores. Having just chicken wings and a bunch of weird looking sides that all look like theyve been living under a heat lamp for endless hours is not appetizing and not nearly worth the high prices consumers are charged. With everyone being so busy and consumed with careers, one would think that the hot food bar and salad bar are the biggest selling points for Wholefoods. I was glad that we finally got a wholefoods here, but I am disappointed, big time. Please Improve the hot food bar.....its an easy fix! At $8.99 per pound, why can I only once in a while get edame on the salad bar??

Its hard to see from the main road but easy to find. The parking lot is large and easy to park there is also a high-rise parking garage above the building entered from around back. There is nice Waterfront to walk along before after you shop. Its a nice entryway and the store is large clean and well-stocked. The employees are very friendly. They do have ready to eat pizza and a salad bar and a coffee bar inside. There is also a lounge to get alcohol drinks. They have a large selection and everything you would expect in a regular Supermarket. Ive been there before and I will go back again. I highly recommend this store to anyone. Whole Foods Market also has a large help yourself taco bar. I recommend it. They also make sandwiches that are very good and large. They have sushi ready to purchase and eat also. One of the best deals in the reason I go so often is for the two slices of pizza for $6. They also have a $13 Pizza on certain night of the week. See my pictures and leave a thumbs up thanks.

Do not recommend going there; it is a very small WF, and feels cramped. The fresh section is disappointing. Personnel can be very friendly: meat market and bakery. But at the cashier I see some people that talk like they are from ghetto. Come on, where is management? The prices are just crazy, why should I pay 4 USD for iceberg lettuce while at Kroger I pay 1 USD. Organic is more expensive, but here it is over the top. Go to a Kroger in the better areas: almost the same organic assortment, cheaper, friendly staff all around and managed professionally (I have the feeling this WF shop has no manager). WF in general is in decline, the better grocery chains are catching up. If you want something special in The Woodlands, go to a Trader Joe.
