Lonestar posted a set of BMW tires and rims for sale on Craigslist. I spoke to Andre the mechanic on the phone and asked him several questions about the Rims including if the tires were good and if they had the BMW sensors that relay tire pressure info to the car computer. These were important to me because if you dont have the sensors, you cant tell if you have a flat. The posting said the tires were "85%" and I was told the wheels were "like new". When I got there I noticed the rims were not in the condition they advertised and I asked for a price adjustment as it was perfectly clear the wheels were not like new as advertised. Tony, the owner or GM, started berading me for asking for a price adjustment and that the rims would cost $1600 at the dealer. I am not an expert in tires so after some time I agreed to buy the tires and rims and paid cash to Tony, the owner/GM. Tony agreed to mount the mount the wheels on for me and Andre performed the work on site. After a few days, the right rear tire ran a flat. I towed it to a gas station, replaced the valve, patched the tire and during that process realized that the tires did NOT have the sensors that they said they would. Had they had the sensors, I would have known that the tire was leaking and could have pulled over to safety. After another day, the left rear tire blew to shreds and I almost crashed with my fiancee in the car. I called a tow and the tow guy said all 4 tires were dry rotted and no dealer should have mounted these or sold them...the tires were very dangerous. Not only were the tires dry rotted, they had "knots that were about to blow". I did not know what dry rot was until he explained it to me. He advised me to flat bed it home instead of mounting the spare. I did that to the tune of $300 total cost of the two tows. I then spent $80 putting the old rims and tires I had on there. While the tow guy was tending to my car, I texted Andre and sent him a picture of the tire and told him that I was not happy with the purchase and that as fair warning, would be posting my experience on Yelp. Tony called me back and instead of trying to make it right or asking me if I was safe/ok, he starts yelling at me with extreme force. Then he threatens to sue me if I post a review. I viewed that as an attempt to censor me or bully me into keeping quiet. While he is screaming at me, he invites me to return the tires and rims...I am putting that nicely. Not trusting the situation, I call them to make sure they will have the cash ready for the refund when i get there. Then, on my way up there, his mechanic Andre informs me that the tires were really not his or Lonestars, but "a friend of his". Then he says they wont honor the return at full price, they will only give me a portion of what I paid because he already paid his friend for the tires. To be clear, I bought these at the dealership and on their property, Tony never mentioned they were bad tires, Tony never claimed that they were "someone elses tires" Tony the owner took the cash from my hand, he never said they were not his tires and they mounted them for me creating a very dangerous situation per the opinion of the two guy. I am a reasonable person. I know mistakes happen. Tony could have easiliy solved this issue by saying "I am so sorry about the problem, let me give you a full refund to make it right". Seems like a simple and fair solution given I spent $400 out of my pocket and hours of wasted time waiting for tow trucks and getting the tires repaired. Instead of offering that solution, he yells at me, renegs on his offer to refund the tires in full and now I am searching the internet for a place to buy new tires. I do not intend to give them my business again.

I went to finance my first car, and they had a VW I was interested in. Right away they were SO "nice" and "helpful" and I sat down for what seemed like hours filling out paperwork, while they made phone calls and such. They came back and said I was approved to be financed, gave me my interest rate, took my down payment, and I drove it off the lot. This was a Saturday. Saturday evening, maybe have driven 30-40 miles since leaving this place, check engine light comes on. Im thinking oh great. The car started, just being funky (the appropriate word doesnt come to mind). All day Sunday I am just regretting this purchase, stuck with the payments and the high interest rate, just angry. Monday morning comes, and Im getting call after call after call from all these banks asking if they could run my credit to see if they could get me approved for financing. Why would a dealer sell someone a car without being approved for financing? The car was a piece of .... and I ended up telling every bank that they did NOT have my permission to run my credit, and I drove it back up to the lot. I told them the problems the car has had in just the day in a half I have had it, and when I asked them how they could have given me my interest rate, and told me I was financed through a bank, when I was just then getting called for my credit to be run. So, when I told them I didnt want the car because of the papers I signed not being accurate, they took (literally, snatched from my hands) the keys and just lectured me of how when I sign something that I just cant take it back. I honestly think they saw a 20 year old girl, by herself, looking for her first "new" used car, and decided they would take advantage. Fortunately Im not as dumb as I look. And if they couldnt be more unproffesional, they (at first) refused to give me my down payment of $2500 back, and tried to charge me for the 60 miles I put on the car. When I threatened to get a lawyer involved, they QUICKLY refunded the money, and didnt say another word about the fee for the miles driven. If you decide to shop here, be careful. I dont think they even deserve ONE star.

NOTHING BUT LEMONS!!!!!! I came in to look at a specific car and decided (from what I could see and hear) the car was good, OR SO I THOUGHT BIG MISTAKE!!! The crazy part about it is, I was told that it had a fresh rebuilt transmission and that it was a one owner car always garaged. Going into finance I told them that I was paying cash and that I wouldnt need any type of loan. SO OF COURSE they rush me into the office and start taking all my information down. They where rushing through the paperwork so fast that they made mistake after mistake, and started asking me if things with the paperwork and title transfer had been done right. WHAT REALLY??? I am buying a car from them, how should I know if there doing there job right?? During the whole process I just felt like it was a rush to see how fast they could get me out of there office. After the circus display of what they call there financing department I got into my new purchased car thinking to myself that everything would be alright, and pulling away from the parking lot I had a good feeling knowing that I was driving what I thought was a solid car. NOW THE FUN PART, exactly a week from the day that I drove the car off the lot and only 250 miles later my TRANSMISSION GOES OUT!! I wasnt doing anything but slowing down for a stop light and getting ready to turn on to a side road to my house. So now the car that I just bought and paid in full over $12,000 dollars is going to need $3,000 dollars in transmission repairs. Unless you have tons of money and dont mind blowing it on stuff you shouldnt have to. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!
