Im finally writing a review of over a year of having my service done. I never like to write reviews in the heat of the moment, plus you never know when a company does take responsibility for mistakes. I WAS a first time and LAST time customer of Electronics 2000. I spent about 3,000. I was highly recommended by a close friend who USED to buy from them in the past, they since have not returned due to my poor service. I felt quite disappointed and I never returned because of the tinting, for leaving a stench in my family van (it was disgusting), and they accidentally broke something inside in my door (they did replace it) but guess what, now my window is having issues. I got my speakers done, tint, bought a mounted TV for my kids, and an alarm for my car, which I have to replace my key remote battery every three months. I did bring my concerns to the owner over the phone and to be honest I felt like going back was not an option, my car could have returned with other/worse problems. Plus the owner himself didnt really seem too concerned , he did offer re-tinting problem areas but Im glad I didnt go back. I will just take my car to the dealership to get a real tint job, possibly take off the annoying alarm (it does work well..too well, lightning triggers the alarm, I should have asked how sensitive it would be), and fix a speaker that went out... I dont like to write bad reviews as I always try to shop local :) but if you are going to have work done here, dont rush to get it done, inspect the work, test all the electronics, and make sure there is a fair refund/return policy, and in general have the owner inspect the work and CONFIRM. If anyone needs proof I am willing to show you a receipt of my work done, I keep all my paper work :), im not an ex employee, nor do I gain anything from writing this review.

My experience is vast in the car audio world as I have done approx 7 car stereo installs from single to multiple amp set-ups. I decided to find a shop to do the install as I am now 40 and the game has changed so much in the last 20 years so I wanted to be sure the job was done right on my 2013 FORD Sony Synch system. The install Kicker Components in the front door, 2 subs in the back, one amp for seprates and a mono for the subs all intergrated into the factory sound system without losing any of my Synch functions. The shop has that old school flavor and vibe of 20 years ago and brought me back to my younger years in the Bronx. The service was professional and courteous at all times and the rep/installer (Young Joe) was on point. The install was super clean as I thoroughly performed my own iinspection when I got home…Joe was that good and kept it clean throughout running 0/1 Gauge to the back into a distro block then 0/4 gauge to the amps. Subs were easy and clean into a F-150 down firing box. The sound was too much and the bass not what my taste was looking for “no fault of Electronics 2000”. So I took the subs out and added my old JL box with a single 10” and had them install a Audio Control 4.1 eq/processor to clean the signal up to the amps and provide fader/eq control. The end result was a crisp, clear, sounding system exactly what I was looking for!! Great Job and I highly recommend these guys they know their stuff and have some pretty good package deals for you bass heads out there as well!! Kudos!! Rob, US Army UPDATE-----UPDATE------UPDATE They just finished the latest addition for my system....RE Audio SXX10 in a custom 1.5 CU FT enclosure ported at 35hz.....WOW....Great Job once again because without a good box the sub is nothing!!! Kudos Yet Again for another job well done...

Came here to upgrade our sound systems in two cars: my husbands and mine. I had two 12s and an amp installed in my car and its been a year since Ive had my system and for the most part I have not had any problems. For my sole sound system experience with Electronics 2000, the only recommendation I would have is to be able to price match with other competitors. Not necessarily for the installation cost but for the products that they sell at the store. I did ask if I could get a price match and was not able to. Now for my husbands sound system I was very disappointed with the service we were given. Knowing that we were repeat customers I would assume that we would be well taken care of but I was completely wrong. I actually wish they would have messed up with my car first that way we wouldnt of came back to do my husbands sound system. Its been a year since my husband has gotten his 15 sub and amp installed and weve had nothing but problems since the beginning. Weve gone back to the store about 7 or 8 times now because its always one problem after the next. I cant even begin to describe all the problems weve had because I could write a 5 page essay on everything that went wrong. My purpose of this review is just to warn perspective buyers who want a job done right the first time to not go to Electronics 2000. I am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words and the representatives at Electronics 2000 do not care like they say they do.

I just wanted to say I have used Steve at electronics 2000 for all of my car needs as far as tint, alarm and stereo are concerned. I was totally hosed by Custom Sounds for two subs and an amp, a friend of mine suggested I try out electronics 2000 and took me to meet Steve. He said it was ok and that it happens to everyone but how could he help? He was so reasonable I not only had them make me a custom box but install the custom sounds stuff too and replace my door speakers. I went to him for tint also, he was about $30 cheaper than Mothers and has a WAY better warrenty policy. I also bought a deck from him, I got the tint, stereo install, box built and installed, stereo bought, 4 door speakers bought and installed on my Freestyle for 1/3 what custom and mothers wanted. They also use top quality stuff, I know someone that worked at custom sounds and they use decent wires to install speakers and subs but they put their cost as a serious issue, electronics 2000 uses only the best stuff, I have had my stereo system and subs for going on two years, never had a problem. A piece of my tint started to peel thanks to my dot matrix, I called Steve, he said bring it right in, it was fixed in less than an hour and I have had no more problems. Can not recommend them enough!!! Wonderful staff, friendly and super informative, I took my husbands car there for his tint, alarm and soon stereo, I will NOT ever shop anywhere else! Thank you Steve!!!

I have worked with a few of the Car Audio shops around town including two which have various locations throughout San Antonio. This is one of the only shops I have visited whereby you actually feel like the staff in interested in listening to your needs. They do not rely on abrasive "upsell" tactics like other places do, but instead make suggestions. I have been to this shop on a few different occasions and these were my observations: When I had speakers put in and was informed of the different quality and associated price and they let me make a decision as to what I wanted. By the way, Morel speakers are AMAZING!! When I recently had my cars windows tinted I was given the choice of their standard or their premium tint and again, I was told up front of the prices of each. The tint job was done in roughly 4 hours (for a 4 door sedan) and looks excellent. All the shops have their good and bad points and many are voiced in the form of a Google Review, but one thing I have noticed is that Mr. Martinez does seem to respond to bad reviews on here unlike other shops. Those who have had bad experiences perhaps need to speak with Mr. Martinez directly as it seems, based on his responses here, that he is truly interested in making the customer happy. So far, I am a happy customer of this shop.
