Terrible experience. Upon my arrival around 4:15 pm I spoke to one of the technicians telling him that my car (2015 Toyota Corolla) requires a special tool to remove the oil filter cap. He then replied yes all Toyotas have the same filter removal process for me to park on the opposite side and that they would help me get started inside. For me that assured me I was going to get my oil change taken care of or so I thought. I gave them all my information like they asked including my phone number. They told me the estimated time and that theyd call me when ready. I remember a young man behind me also requesting an oil change so in theory I should be finished before him. I didnt need much at Walmart however I knew it would be at least 1.5 hours so I decided I can look around buy a few things I needed and a toy for my 2 year old son. I go pay up front around 5:54 pm then I start to head back to the auto department and theres a line. Now I never received a phone call or heard my name on the intercom so Im not sure 100 percent positive my car is ready but then I see the young man who was behind me requesting the oil change meaning mine should be finished. While all this is happening theres bickering between one of the technicians and an older gentleman about a set of tires being lost. Hearing all of this kind of made me and the other customers uncomfortable. After the argument was over I was next in line and I was told my oil change had not been done due to the oil filter cap not coming off. I then asked why didnt anyone call me? Then they replied to me that they just got to my car a few minutes ago and I then said no thats not true because I saw the young man who was behind me when I first asked for an oil change already get rung up and leave. So it had to have been at least 30 minutes that they knew and didnt notify me. I estimate 30 minutes because thats how long it takes me to do an oil change however I do not possess the special tool for the corolla hence why I brought it to Walmart in the first place. No response to what I said just sorry sir. I wish they would have at least got a manager involved to accommodate me. Its unfortunate but you all lost a customer. Thank you for wasting my time. For those wondering how this review effects you just know I wasnt the only customer that was having issues in line and they didnt know how to solve them.

A customer was involved in a argument and fight in a far west-side Walmart parking lot which ended in being fatally stabbed to death on Sunday (2/12/17), according to San Antonio Police Department. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the Walmart Supercenter in the 11200 block of Potranco Rd when two women were involved in an altercation when one was fatally stabbed, said police. It was not immediately clear how the fight began or if anyone else was injured. Further details were not immediately available. ---------------- A Simple Prayer "Jesus Christ I believe you are the true Son of God and that you died on the cross to rescue me from my sins, death, to restore my life, and to help me return to heaven to be with my guardian angel, the Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit. I choose now to turn away from my sins, my selfishness, and to remove every part of my life that does not please you. I call upon my guardian angel assigned to me at my birth to serve and protect me and My Family. I choose to serve you and I choose to give my entire life to you. I believe in you and who you are. I believe you are the way, the truth, and the light. I choose to accept you into my heart, Into my soul, to liberate my mind, my body and choose to receive your love in your heart, peace and forgiveness. I ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Lord and Savior. please lord of lords and king of kings come reign your peace, love, and happiness into my heart, my mind and into my soul. please fill my heart and my soul with your love and your life, and help me to become a better person who is truly loving and trusting —a person like you. may the blood from your sacrifice wash my sins away, restore my mind, body and soul in your name. Jesus Christ allow me to Live, Love, and grow through you. please bless my heart and my soul in your name and write my name in the lambs book of life and allow me into your heavenly kingdom with open arms. Thank you God of the Holy Land and the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen".

I got to the store around 11PM and saw there were long lines (maybe 8 people per line) for the 4 or so open registers. But thats to be expected at walmart at night. So, I did my shopping for 30 or 40 minutes, had a cart half full of food, a lot of perishables, and went to the front of the store. SURPRISE! They shut down all but one register and EVERY self-check out lane! There was a cluster of maybe 10-15 people down by the one open lane down on the left side of the store, probably fighting over who was in which spot, and then the line turned 90 degrees and stretched almost all the way toward the food department. There were at least 30 people in line for this one register, but it could have been 40 or more. The line was so long I couldnt even read the number of the open register, and I have excellent eyesight. I wish I had taken a picture. I would estimate the wait was an hour and a half to check out. I wouldnt know, though, because I pushed my cart into the clothes aisle and left. Now Im sure youre wondering what time it was, as you cant expect a ton of employees at 2AM or whatever. Well, it was 11:45-11:50PM. Not even midnight. I guess they want to save money by only having one minimum wage employee working at a time, but I think they need to work the numbers and see how much business they are losing. That and the cost of dairy products sitting in the clothes aisle, though Im sure they just put those back on the shelves.

The store is clean and organized. I havent noticed any problem with the shopping carts as described in another review. The cashiers are always polite and cheerful. If you go late at night, there will be terribly long lines, on the opposite side of the store from the door thats unlocked. Its irritating to enter on the grocery side, pick up the one or two items I need from the grocery aisles, then walk all the way across the store to the open register, stand in line for 30 minutes, and then walk all the way back across the store to exit on the grocery side. Also, the automotive department is very eager to sell road hazard plans on tires, but when I needed a tire replaced, I had to go to a different Walmart, because this one refused to do it. I had bought the new tires a month before, and paid for the road hazard plan. Then I ran over a drill on the highway and the drill bit broke off in my tire. I went back to Walmart, and the tire guys said that I needed to have the tire replaced, because the hole was too large to patch, and I would be "risking my childrens lives driving with it that way." I showed them the paperwork and receipt from the tire purchase, and they decided that the tire just needed a patch after all. Discussions with the automotive manager and the assistant store manager led absolutely nowhere. I finally had to take the tire to another Walmart, where I explained the situation and they replaced it.
