A great store that is off to a great start! I attended the Grand Opening on March 15, 2017 and it was very nice. I know several associates there who transferred from another store where I worked and I am very proud of what they have accomplished, and I am sure they are even more proud. The store size is about the same as the one in Devine, TX but the layout is like the one in Hondo (for those of you who have been in those stores). I do like this stores layout. There is a good selection in the consumables departments (Grocery, Produce, etc.) and even an Alsatian and German four foot section in one of the isles (a clear nod to the cultural heritage of Castroville and its cuisine). There is a modernistic new setup in the Electronics department which I really like. And Sporting Goods department has an awesome gun wall. The white paint scheme makes everything look clean and fresh. All the associates who greeted us were friendly and helpful. (Please stay that way!) All I can do is wish the best blessings on Castrovilles new store #4102 and its associates! Congratulations Castroville on the new addition to your retail landscape!

Manager. I had returned an item back because it didnt work, she stated that i did not purschase item at that store. I told her it was a few days i was there i have proof i. She was rude an unprofessional on her behalf. I told her that i work for walmart we look up items by barcodes and dates. It seem it was to much work for her because i didnt have a reciep. No patience i work. I have a harder job then she does we acomadate our producers shell conoco phillip cheveron in transporting there liquids. If she cant handle a small problem without attitude then she doesnt need to work as a manager. We are the ones that make her check customers.....

Other than the entrance being oddly laid out compared to every other Walmart Ive ever visited this store is great. New so its still clean, never crowded when I go, produce section is bright and while the selection is limited what is available is good quality. Bakery, dairy, meats etc are all well stocked. Every employee Ive dealt with has been pleasant. This is a regular and a super Walmart so some of the departments have a more limited selection but it is adequate.

This location is easily accessible and right off the highway. It is a great addition to the community, and makes shopping easier because I dont have to drive to San Antonio every time I want to get affordable groceries and other household items. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because their selection is not as good as other Walmart locations...they dont carry everything that a bigger 24-hour supercenter carries.

The employees here are awesome. Usually the first month a store opens, employees are on their best behavior but this store is going into month 4 and they still treat you like day 1. Sometimes hard to find at a large store. Who ever is training these folks is doing an awesome job. The store is also being kept very clean and love the local produce.

Employees are friend and helpful. The store is very clean and layout could use some adjusting. Kafts and office supplies are normally closer. School supplies should be at the front of the store. I am super impressed with the produce. It is fresh and well stocked. I love this store keep the goals set high standards.

VERY RUDE ASSOCIATES. I asked, very nicely, a questions about the "services" department and was made to feel as if I had torn these 3 people away from worldwide peace talks to answer silly question. Super professional. Not the first problem Ive had with them . . And they JUST OPENED

Nice new store but waited 45 min for an oil change that never happened. They said 20 to 30 min wait with only 1 car being worked on and nothing. An update or a warning in advance that it may take a while would have been nicer than sitting there wasting my time.

Great new store, much cleaner than Hondos but we will see how long that lasts. Have only one complaint and that is the one main entrance. Do yourself a favor and if you dont feel like walking over half of creation park on the east side of the lot.

Fruit and vegetables that I wanted to buy were over riped. The cashier over charged me and I ended up having to go to customer service. I ended up at customer service quite a bit when I shop at Walmart. Ugh

Clean, stocked pretty well, but gas prices are beginning to be gouged as all the other stations in Castroville are, Murphy would never got on that band wagon. Shame on you Wal-Mart. HEB will fix this.
