Bad experience at the automotive center this morning, Monday October 5, 2015 - Plano Walmart Supercenter 8801 Ohio Dr, Plano, TX 75024 Poor customer service, did not call me when my tire came in, offered no explanation 10 days later when I called and visited in person. I originally ordered the tire on 9/23/2015, and I asked for road hazard tire warranty. The woman employee offered free installation and tire balance, and said the tire would be in on Friday, 9/25. She said they would call me when the tire arrived. I received no call, and had a work emergency the following week. I finally called this morning, 10/5, and the man on the phone told me they had no record of my ordering the tire, but that they somehow had 1 of my extremely rare tire in stock that just came in! I have a tire that is 145/65R15 that almost no store carries in stock. So I visited the store. I asked to have the tire installed, to get the road hazard warranty, and to get the installation and balance for free. The employee said "no way. We never do that." I asked for the manager. Jack is the manager. He said that they always call when tires come in, so he didnt understand why I wouldnt be called. Then he flipped through some papers, pulled some out and said "but heres your paperwork, and it shows we didnt call you. I cant explain why, because we always do, but I just came back from vacation." I told him the original worker who ordered for me offered me free installation and balance on 9/23 when I ordered the tire, which is the same free service I got when I visited here last year for another tire replacement. Jack said that they never do that, and he doesnt know why his employee would offer that. He could not ask her, as she was not there, but he would not honor the commitment she made me. I showed him the notes I took on my calendar, showing clearly that I made a record of the offer and conversation, and he shrugged. He offered no apologies, explanation, or solution for why they never called me when the tire came in, or why he wouldnt honor his employees word. I was nice, because I dont like to be the angry customer who badgers people to get a cheap deal. I just told Jack I was not happy with his service, and I was taking my business elsewhere. He nodded and said okay, and showed that he doesnt care about keeping customers happy, or about honoring his employees word, or about taking responsibility when his team screws up.

Went to the Ohio dr, Plano location in Texas to see if I had warranty on my vehicles battery. One guy came out and looked at it stating I do have warranty on it. A second guy came out and also stated I have warranty on it. Then they swapped out my old battery and installed the new one without me asking them to. Those two guys did great! It wasnt until it was time to check out with the lady behind the counter did things quickly go south. While waiting to be helped at the counter, another customer there told me he came in for a rotation and was told he needed two tires. His response was okay. Nobody ever told him how much his total would be until after they did the work. He was telling me he only has $90 dollars and they were telling him it was going to be $150 dollars. He told the manager he only had $90 and Jack the Manager said you still owe $50. The customer said I dont have it. Jack said "I cant let the vehicle leave until the balance is paid." First of all, why was there never a price discussed with the customer before doing the service? What kind of business does that?! So after watching that go on, now its my turn. The girl behind the desk informs me my warranty expired. I explained that two other guys from the Walmarts shop already looked at it and said it is covered. That is why the swapped it out. So she goes to Jack and he tells me again that my warranty is only good for two years. I told him exactly what I told her. He then tells me we can either put your old battery back in, or we can go halves. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? Again, what kind of service is this?! I told him that wasnt going to work and he then asks with an attitude, "what is going to work?" I told him my expectations were the warranty was going to cover it once I was told the warranty is good. So then he tells the lady to write it out of stock and make the warranty on my new battery expired. Wow! Thats one way to make sure I dont come back! Poor customer service! Thanks Jack for honoring what two other employees said, after making me work for it. Train your guys better and you wont have to be so pissy. I wanted to share this experience to give you guys an opportunity to correct the behaviors of this manager before he really embarrasses Walmart.

I get an oil change every month. The last time i got my oil changed at this walmart was literally a joke. They charged me for an oil change that they didnt even do. How do i know they didnt do their job? Because there is no excuse as to why my car ran out of oil in a hardly a month to the point where my oil light came on. That has NEVER happened to me before. And, no, i do not have a leak. I will NEVER trust this walmart Auto center EVER again. Much less any walmart auto center, for that matter. I felt off about the auto employees when they told me my car was ready, yet still took more than 15min to bring it out. That included me walking to the garage and standing outside the chain staring at my vehicle waiting for someone to show up so i can ASK for my vehicle. He hardly made eye contact when he decided to come out of hiding and rolled his eyes when i asked for my vehicle that they had claimed was ready. All he said was for me to stay outside the chain gate. I felt that was rude, as i was already doing so. He still took his time walking around my vehicle like and im thinking, "where are you going? What are you doing?" Obviously he has a problem with people telling him what to do even if i was only asking politely. So i walk to the middle of the parking lot and wait. A different employee parked my vehicle and im clearly standing right there with no other car in sight. And he walks right past me like im invisible. I spoke up "excuse me, this is my vehicle" he asked if i paid... "Yes" i showed him my receipt. And he handed me my paperwork and keys and walked away. Like what the hell?! Do they not communicate with each other? Wheres the team work? Super Lazy employees. Getting paid to be useless.

Went to the automotive department to get an oil change and the men there were not very friendly to me. They told me that it would take an hour to get my oil changed, so I walked around Wal Mart for an hour, even though I did not need anything from their store and was just killing time. When I came back an hour later I was ignored for a good 2 minutes by their ENTIRE automotive staff, who was just standing around talking inside the kiosk area. I asked if my car was ready and they said that because of problems with the oil plug they couldnt do the oil change. Thats fine, I understand that they couldnt do the service, but would it have inconvenienced them to either make a page on the loudspeaker to retrieve me or call my phone number, which I gave them? I am a very busy person and cannot afford to waste an hour at Walmart when I couldve gone somewhere else and gotten it done in 20 minutes. I only went there because it was New Years day and all the other places were closed. I would certainly recommend the Kwik Kar across the street rather than the awful service at Wal Mart.
