Both of my interactions with Plano Florist have been extremely costly for the quality of the flowers which were prepared and sent by them. In Jan. 2012, I ordered a bouquet of at least 40 French Roses to be sent to my girlfriend. They assured me the quality of the tulips would be excellent and the arrangement magnificent. This was insured by a $380 price tag. The flowers were sent, and my girlfriend loved them, however, I showed up the next day and the bouquet was hardly worth the cost, regardless of the ‘type’ of flowers involved. Not only that, but the tulips were opened to the point that they wilted almost to the stem, within 3 days of arrival. Despite care and watering. The tulips were merely ‘end of stock’ quality and age. I let this slide, being that I am from out of town. 3 weeks later, my girlfriend had a birthday. Against my better judgment, I ordered an FTD based arrangement from Plano Florist from their website. FTD typically has ‘levels’ of quality consisting mainly of increased numbers of flowers in the arrangement. I ordered ‘Timeless Traditions’ at BEST quality for $165 from the Plano Website. I didn’t look around (much to my chagrin later) at any other websites… not even the FTD online site. The order was for $195 delivered. I thought she would be getting a great bouquet of lavender and white roses. She thanked me for the roses and posted a picture of the bouquet on Facebook. The picture resembled the ‘Good’ quality (lowest base quality FTD offers) in appearance and number of stems. I looked it up on the general FTD website, and they use the exact same pictures Plano Florist uses. However, the cost for the bouquet ordered through FTD rather than Plano Florist is $83 rather than $165. So not only did Plano Florist deliver something which appeared significantly diminished less than the base order, but they doubled the normal price for the effort. I contacted Plano Florist for a refund of my purchase. At the end of the day, I received a call stating they would pick up the old bouquet and deliver another on Monday (Birthday is Friday). When I asked for a refund, she refused and stated they would refund $50. So they refunded just over 25% of my cost making it only 160% of the FTD advertised price. When I asked the person if she really thought the bouquet they delivered looked anything like the one in their advertised picture. She continually replied with a recipe rather than an answer, stating they followed the recipe, and in fact added 4 fillers as well. When I finally got an answer, she stated Yes, I believe it looks the same. Which, answers the question about why they have such poor reviews online. I accept my lesson as such. It was a poor choice and my only hope is that you dont make the same choice as I did. There are many other florists who deliver in Plano... I will choose another and hope you take this review as it is intended... as information. (I have published this review elsewhere on the net)

I just had my wedding on November 2, 2013. The flower arrangements were gorgeous. I had met with Mary beforehand, knowing only one specific flower I wanted to use. She sat down with me and laid out the entire arrangements all the way from the gazebo sprays to the corsages for the parents and grandparents. What she came up with was phenomenal. Her ideas were so creative and unique, all I heard from our guests were how stunning everything was. I have to say I was nervous getting there the day of, because I wanted everything to roll smoothly with no delays. Mary had surprised me by getting there really early and having everything setup. If I were to recommend anyone a reliable florist for their wedding or any other event it would definitely be Plano Florist. The whole team is organized and willing to do anything for your special event.

I have used this florist on multiple occasions. The flowers are top quality...its the customer service that needs improvement. A week before Valentines Day, I placed an order with the condition that my order be delivered on Valentines Day before noon. I was promised this would be done. By 1p, still no flowers. So I call the shop, and proceed to be placed on hold for 12 minutes. I hang up, call back and the same lady answered, trying to place me on hold AGAIN. When I tell her that Id rather not hold, I am told that "I have a customer in front of me, and Ill get to you when I can". Needless to say, I paid $50 more for an order that should have been $86...but the price was increased due to the holiday. The customer service is poor, time management is poor. I would recommend that you pass these guys by if you are on a clock.

As a florist up here in the North East, I always try to order from local florists when sending to friends out of state. For Valentines Day, I ordered my friend in Texas a succulent garden so she could have something that would last. After being told no by multiple florists, I finally came to Plano Florist who said they could do the job. The exchange was pleasant and the delivery went off without a hitch with a very nice result. The only thing I was no so certain of was the price. While I do like what was sent, I still cant quite get the math to add up on it, but I accept that prices are different for different regions. All in all, a good experience.

The first time I called, they said they couldnt deliver, which is my fault for ordering late. Then I called back the second time for pickup, they raised the price on the flowers even after I told them that I was just on the phone with them with a price set already. After they putting me on hold, I was then told the quality and types of flowers will be lowered if they go back to the previous price. I was also told that I can cancel. I mean REALLY? THIS IS HOW PEOPLE DO BUSINESS?!?! this is not the last valentines day on earth and no the only occassion I will shop for flowers. Thank you plano florist, I will NEVER EVER SHOP HERE!!!!

Our experience was a disorganized nightmare. They were doing the flowers for my daughters wedding. I had to come to Plano Florist three times to get the order correctly recorded. They have been dishonest in their charging of fees on my credit card, and I eventually had to block the business from making any more claims on my credit card. They wrote a final invoice and payment was recorded as paid in full, then continued to go to my company with additional charges that were noted as a no charge item on our contract. NEVER use this company.

These folks are great - they have been my florist of choice for at least the last 10 years. They did our wedding (beautiful), and have always been most helpful in providing advice for all occasions. My job takes me across the US on a regular basis and this past week they called me in Atlanta to remind me of Mothers Day and to provide me with some options. Now I can that true customer service. I sat try them, you will not be disappointed. They work great for me.
