Also was a victim of the business owner and will share my own bad experience w the business owner. So the following just happened to me about 30 minutes ago. I was filling out paperwork for a trailer rental. They made a copy of my DL and car insurance for the trailer rental. I simply asked if it would be shredded after I return the trailer. The owner of McDonnells over heard me say it and absolutely blew up at me. The young employee that was helping me w paperwork didnt know what to say. The owner said, "no! Im going to share it with everyone in Keller! and shook his head in disgust. So I said, " sir, is they an unreasonable question?" He blew up at me. I said, "you know what Im not going to get the trailer. Im not going to give you my business." And the owner of the store said, " get out of my store! Im fixing to call the cops!!" So I asked for my DL back and promptly left. I dont need some story made up about me and the cops called. Ive been going to this store for years for various items. I appreciate small businesses (typically) and try to avoid large box stores like H.D. and Lowes and help out the family businesses. NO LONGER WILL I SHOP MCDONNELLs. Is it unreasonable for me to be concerned about my drivers license and my car insurance ID cards sitting in a businesss portfolio for years n years? I will no longer by garden stuff, tools, nuts and bolts, electrical cables, custom cut hoses, door hardware, paint, dog food or horse food, propane refills, lumber or concrete or patio pavers from this owner like weve been doing in the past. Absolutely uncalled for and absurd customer service from the owner! Ill go to big box stores and order my feed online!

I went in to buy some Llama food on March 30, 2015 around 6 PM. I asked about having a key fob made for my Chrysler PT cruiser because it was not working. The key fob had come apart and had some plastic pieces break off when my grandson tried to throw it to me in the parking lot. I was told that since it was not working they probably could not duplicate it. However they took my key fob and tested it and discovered their machine recognized it but they did not have a replacement fob in stock. Instead of handing the key back, the gentleman asked if he could take it apart and look at it. He took it apart and noticed the seal was not allowing the circuit board to sit properly and my battery was in backwards. (I swear I tried it both ways.). It started working and saved me from spending $40 to $80 bucks for a new one. I did not get his name but thank you for taking the extra time when you could have handed it back and said "nope, we cant do it". That is superb customer service.

I was having an issue with my outside water hydrant. I went to home depot and they did not have what I needed. The gentleman that was helping suggested McDonnells. I drove straight there and was met with great customer service. Lloyd took the portion of the water spicket that I had and replaced 2 washers. Unfortunately my issue was bigger than that. I went back and Lloyd explained step by step on how to replace the whole unit. I went home and the work was completed in 30 minutes. Lloyd saved me the expense of a plummer. Thank you Lloyd and McDonnells.

Funny place. Sometimes the service is great but the lady at the front counter will at times turn into another person. Is she the owner or manager? Not sure but watch out if shes in a bad mood or you question something. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the "Soup Nazi". Place your order his way or get thrown out of the store. Not sure Ill stop shopping there but the place is quirky for sure.

This is the most ungrateful, inconsiderate, rude, arrogant business that I have ever dealt with. No honesty, or integrity to their business practices ever. I was treated with disrespect and overcharged. Threatened to call the police on me because I disagreed with them. Everything in the store is overpriced. Home depot and Lowes blowes them away as for as pricing. And consideration.

If you need it, they have it, and prices arent too shabby either! This is totally our kind of place. They have it all, and a little extra. Hardware, landscaping, feed supplies and a little shopping for us ladies. The staff is kind and helpful, and the location is very convenient for us. Yeah, it could use a spring cleaning, but its a hardware store after all!

Great hardware store with everything in it you could possibly need, like an old general store, prices slightly higher then chain stores but why not support the locals, quality tools and hard to find hardware, even rented a trailer from them, o and I fill my grill propane here too....

We moved to the area three months ago and started utilizing McDonnell feed store, everyone has been friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable. The selection and convenience has made it possible to reduce the out of the way visits to Home Depot. Thank you McDonnells.
