The office is great and the doctor is great too....but what is not great is being told one thing and then hit with a bill at the end of service. Blake went over what my insurance covered and how much my copay I was going to have to pay for this visit. But when I got to the check out and got ready to pay the amounts were totally different then what I was told...about $105 worth of a difference. I informed her nobody told me that I had to pay that and I asked her to go get the doctor or the manager and she came back with this FAKE smile telling me that she apologies that I was not aware of the charges but that Blake explain all that too me, Blake who was right there the whole time never turned around when she heard me telling the other lady that I was not informed of this. I finally called out to Blake and asked when did she tell me that I had to pay this amount, she simply said she was sorry and that she didnt know that I was getting contacts. Ok well that to me seems like a training issue and not my problem. I have never been charged separately for getting contacts, if I was INFORMED of this prior to it happening I WOULD HAVE CHOSE ANOTHER DOCTOR My insurance covers this, this office is making it a choice not to file it through my insurance. She then tells me if I am not going to pay she is going to hold on to my contact prescription...HELLO I didnt even have a prescription and they didnt even give me trial contacts...you "FITTED" the ones I had already had in my eyes for a month. SMH at this practice.

Worse place ever !!! Dont believe, go and experience then you will be here like me to write about your nightmare experience with them. First, very low selection to purchase frame. Staff is very unprofessional and insane. They dont care about patient, order, status update and who cares as long as they get pay checks in pocket. But here my experience, i went for checkup and order glass in Dec, 2014 guess what its been almost six month now my glass not ready yet. They charged credit card upfront then forget about patient and their order. Staff never calls me to provide update but I have to call them and all you hear is we dont have your glass yet, lab didnt made as we ordered its different so we sent back. They even told me to call lab and get update whatttt - its my job to call lab and get order update. Still i called and lab agent told we only speak to provider not patient - Pathetic. Now I got call that my glass is ready, what i see when i went to pickup is again different glass then what i order and they said lab made this we have no control. I didnt took since it wasnt what i ordered so now again wait for lab to create correct glass and its been 2 month after this last incident and no update. what a horrible business is this who dont care about patient, never calls to update your order status and take a while for thing which can be done in 2-3 week. If they dont have time to call you patient then do we? I will update whats outcome soon. Thanks

I have been wearing glasses and/or contacts since I was 10 years-old so I know something about eye exams. The process of scheduling the appointment, waiting in the office, walking through the exam, and then debating for an hour about frames (because they have to be on your face for the next year or two) is NOT something I look forward to. So when my wife suggested I try Dr. Cargo I figured he couldnt be too bad. She and our five year-old daughter are both patients. I asked my little girl what she liked about going to the eye doctor and she said "Its such a fun place and the people are so nice!" Taking their advice I went in for a visit. I was not disappointed. The office is conveniently located. The staff are super-friendly. I didnt have to wait long (either for the appointment or once I was in the office). Every procedure of the exam was explained clearly. Finally, when I met with Dr. Cargo I was amazed that he didnt try to up-sell me on anything I didnt need. In fact, he surprised me by telling me my prescription had improved since my last exam with a different doctor! Choosing the frames was the hardest part. The ladies allowed me to take my time without pressuring me even though it was closing time. I left feeling confident that I had made the right choice. If you live in the Irving/Farmers Branch/Coppell area and you need vision care, do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment.

Im so glad I found Cargo Eye Care in Las Colinas...... from my first call to make an appointment to walking in, the staff took so good care of me. I walked in the door, and they had my file, benefits, and forms ready for me. I was immediately seen, and recd personal one on one care. It was so amazing. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the staff, but also the empathy and conversation everyone had. Dr. Cargo was the same. He immediately thanked me for coming in and quickly assessed my vision needs while making me feel like I was his new friend. I was on my lunch break, so quickly chose frames and told them I would need to come back to make a final decision the next day. The next day, I walked in the door and they were ready for me before I even had to ask!! The new glasses came out awesome. They have a great selection of frames and I was not pressured to buy. It was SUCH a relief to recieve personal service.. unlike most of the "big box" eye places you see around strip malls. Also, I ordered contacts on a Monday and they were shipped and at my doorstep by Wednesday morinng, without even requesting express shipping. I will definitely return time and again to Dr. Cargo and his crew.... not to mention telling every "four eyed" I know to check them out... Thanks CEC!

Based on the great reviews, I called today, trying making an appointment as a new patient. The lady who took the call asked for some details, including my health insurance and vision insurance information. I read out my health insurance information from my insurance card, and also started reading out the information on my vision insurance card (Superior Vision). However the lady wanted me to clearly specify what was my "vision insurance ID". The card had a bunch of numbers, but none that was listed as an "ID". I tried explaining this to the lady, offering to read out whatever is written on the card, and requesting if she can figure out which one is the "ID". But she was curt and adamant, saying that unless I provide the "ID", she will not be able to make an appointment for me. So I gave up in frustration, and will now go to another optometrist in the area (there are others who are also well rated). Possibly a great doctor, but they really need to have some more welcoming to receive calls from patients.

My name is Matt and i have been a patient of Dr. Cargo since 2012. Dr. Cargo and his entire staff are just amazing, you see the photos of all the smiles on there faces, that is genuine. Each and every time you see them, you receive the same incredible service. No matter who you speak to and ask a question these girls are trained and know their business. Theres never a hesitation and then "Let me ask someone else". They are knowledgable in every phase of this practice. I have a terrible stigmatism and Dr. Cargo has placed me in both contacts and glasses and my prescription has improved each time he fits me with my new rx. For the first time in my life I wear my contacts every day. Thanks Dr. Cargo and thanks to your staff for the true dedication.
